Dynasty Warriors Origins implements the familiar combat system excellently and expands upon it with duels and a greater emphasis on deliberate parrying and evasion. The tale of the Three Kingdoms is realized in rich detail with many iconic battles. Ziluan as a protagonist remains understated, yet his muteness and missing memory are well-executed. The other characters, in turn, possess all the more depth.

Cuisineer serves up an entertaining dish combining the ingredients of a dungeon crawler and a restaurant simulation. Both are simple enough to accommodate groups of players who aren’t very familiar with either aspect.

Eternal Strands entertained me well for around 20 hours. Although I wasn't completely convinced by the style beforehand, I got used to it quickly while playing. I enjoyed exploring the relatively compact areas, finding lore and crafting recipes and gathering materials. The combat system is not too complex and is fun, only occasionally is climbing on enemies a bit finicky.

Boti: Byteland Overclocked is a somewhat slow jump & run with perhaps slightly too long levels, but which was designed with a lot of love and doesn't do much wrong gameplay-wise. However, the occasionally severe bugs, which especially demand a lot of repetition from the player, cloud the fun and can prove to be very frustrating. If these bugs are fixed, Boti, setting aside the quite stressful final boss, is a great game especially for newcomers to the genre; otherwise a frustration resistance is necessary that young players probably won't bring with them.

Our trip to Earth was a resounding success. Battling the dangers in a small group proved even more enjoyable than venturing out alone. Visually, the world had much to offer, though performance was noticeably weak.

And so, ah, two hearts beat in my chest. On one hand, I can only truly recommend the DLC to die-hard Elden Ring fans. Anyone who complained about the late game back then will not warm up to Shadow of the Erdtree either. Many bosses follow similarly brisk, erratic-acting patterns, the challenge is set several levels hotter and considered on its own completely chaotic.

Fitness Boxing 3: Your Personal Trainer is a motivating fitness game with minor distracting aspects due to imprecise motion tracking. Daily workout, exercise plans, and trainers adapt well to individual needs. Ultimately, motivation must come from the participants themselves—and that's where the daily workout offers the lowest possible barrier to entry.

Georgie-Yolkie is a game that clearly shows a considerable amount of heart and soul went into the project, but one that, in terms of gameplay, can't live up to its ambitions, and above all falls flat technically—at least on Nintendo Switch. In its current state, I can only advise against Georgie-Yolkie. If the technical problems get fixed, genuine genre fans can certainly risk taking a look, but even then, they shouldn't expect any major leaps when it comes to the level design.

Eternights may not be able to compete with big titles in terms of presentation, and some may find the character facial expressions too cartoonishly exaggerated. I fundamentally liked the combat system and also the mostly rather relaxed interactions of the characters despite impending apocalypse. A bit of tragedy is also present without being overwhelming. For me it was an entertaining experience overall.

Anyone looking for that old BioWare will likely be better served at Larian Studios, which has continued the legendary Baldur's Gate series. Bioware takes the path of the cinematic action RPG, which is more linear, but all the more spectacular in its execution.

At least Albatroz is a short experience—within about eight hours you’ve already seen most of what it has to offer, unless you accidentally spent the entire time walking in the wrong direction… I cannot recommend Albatroz, primarily due to its poor technical state. Rarely have I encountered such a rough implementation. Long loading times, bugs that obstruct progress, stuttering, and even complete freezes all contribute to a consistently negative experience.

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake has the charm of a pixel RPG while playing fresh and modern. Exploration is fun at every moment, and thanks to quest markers and the memory feature, I never lose track. The remake is thus very well executed and offers just as much gaming fun for newcomers to the series as for Dragon Quest fans.

I find it difficult to categorize Fae Farm. I had plenty of fun with the main storyline and one of the DLCs, and many of the features the title offers make the game quite enjoyable. While farming and livestock play only a minor role, and the relationship systems feel somewhat shallow, the core quest design is strong enough to earn it a green recommendation.

Amanda the Adventurer 2 definitely has a distinctive core concept that I have not really seen in any other game—apart from its obvious predecessor. The “horror” could certainly be much more intense, and it would also be helpful if it were easier to get into the main gameplay experience more directly. Aside from that, however, this analog horror puzzle game already gets a lot right simply through its idea alone. I am hopeful that future entries will further refine and expand on this concept.

Astral Blade is not a paragon of an excellent representative of the genre; for this, it lacks enemy variety and the fun is already over after approximately ten hours. But graphically it is beautiful and reminded me in places of Ori, without naturally reaching its class.

The Smurfs: Dreamland Adventure isn't merely significantly better than any Smurf game should ever be — it competes effortlessly across every field except difficulty with Sackboy's PlayStation 5 launch title. Anyone who enjoys linear 3D platformers should definitely give Dreamland Adventure a chance.
