If you're looking for another retro-inspired FPS to play through now that you've completed DOOM, Hard Reset Redux is a competent option. Although it's dated and doesn't compare to the polish, scope and grandeur that is present in its competitor, it continues to be a decent and challenging game.

Certain sections of Soul Axiom are as memorable as Wales Interactive would like them to be. Unfortunately, however, these moments are buried under a lacklustre and confusing storyline and simplistically dull puzzles.

A game about love, loss and the human condition, Fragments of Him is a quality, narrative-driven affair with a message. It is, however, more of an interactive movie than a game, not to mention one that moves at a very slow pace. As such, it won't be for everyone.

Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus lives up to expectations of the franchise through its fun gameplay and lewd humour. A little too much focus has gone into the characters, leaving levels to play out rather similarly, but at least it's consistently fun to kick some ninja lady booty.

Mirror's Edge Catalyst's unique take on first person parkour is something that no other game or series manages to deliver. Due to this, even when it stumbles, it's easy to look past its faults, simply because it's so damn unique and novel.

One Piece: Burning Blood does a solid job of adapting such an important story to a video game, but doesn't do a great job at letting newcomers know why it matters. Die-hard One Piece fans will get some enjoyment here, but there are better fighting games out there.

While long load times aren't a huge deal in a game like Grand Theft Auto, they absolutely are one when you only get a maximum of about a minute of gameplay from each load. It's a small annoyance that builds to a huge one over time, and it highlights everything else that is wrong with Dangerous Golf.

Although light on challenge and gameplay, Oxenfree offers rich dialogue options and an intriguing story that unfolds over multiple playthroughs while following characters that are easy to become attached to.

In a time where an expansion pack is regularly nothing more than a new map or a couple of character gadgets, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Blood and Wine brings us something hearty and filling enough to prove that there's hope for DLC yet. Geralt's adventure in stunning Toussaint is an absolute triumph.

In Between might be mistaken for just another puzzle platformer, but it's anything but. It tackles some serious subject matter with a level of confidence that is rarely seen in games today.

Super Night Riders' potential is unfortunately held back by a poor frame rate, as well as gameplay that is no stranger to frustration. As much as I want to recommend this independent, retro-inspired racer, I simply cannot.

Dead Island: Definitive Collection presents a lot of fun, albeit dated and repetitive gameplay for an affordable price. As a remaster, it's not perfect, but that's almost part of these games' charm.

The Incredible Baron delivers a fun, light-hearted humour that shines through its simplistic tug-of-war strategy foundation. There’s just the right level of challenge for a casual playthrough, while offering enough depth in the different difficulties and species research mechanics to keep you coming back for more.

Dead Island: Retro Revenge won't set the world on fire, but it's a very solid and enjoyable, endless runner-style game. It's challenging, action-packed and filled to the brim with blood and guts, while also featuring an immersive score attack system.
