All in all, Strike Suit Zero: Director's Cut is an enjoyable game. It adds a fresh new feel to an otherwise old, washed-up genre that can appeal to just about anybody looking for a casual gameplay experience.
All in all, LEGO The Hobbit is a great addition to the LEGO family of games. Besides a few minor frustrations, the game succeeds at its goal of translating the epic adventure of The Hobbit films into a fun, light-hearted experience that's suitable for everyone.
The Wolf Among Us continues to be Telltale's sharpest and most stylish series to date, with quick witted writing and a visual style which still seeks to impress… and does. (Seriously, why aren't MORE high-def games cel shaded? It looks really good!) Add on to that impressive reveals and a mystery that's building up to something bigger, and it's safe to say that at this point, the whole season is definitely going to be worth following through to the end.
With a fully-fledged single player / co-op "story" mode, online play, deathmatch, level editor, and more, there's a ton of content for the cost, and it's all a ton of fun to boot.
If you don't mind taking on a few slower quests with a couple of buddies, then Mercenary Kings can certainly help deliver on a fun time shooting bad guys with friends. If you're more likely to be playing a lone or you seek something with smoother fast paced action gameplay, then you might be best looking elsewhere. Mercenary Kings still provides a solid enough distraction for the former crowd.
It's broken, but it's not a mess for being a title that spits on the face of physics. It's small, but there's a lot to try to do and the Workshop feature will be sure to bring more content by the truckloads. It's stupid, but it's brilli– no, it really is stupid as hell. Still, you can tell a lot of love went into this project. Plus, you can be a goat.
All told, there's a lot of great stuff piled in to Betrayer. The graphics, story tone, setting, and quite a few elements of the FPS mechanics – reload time on the musket, for one – are pretty fantastic, and definitely can pull you in, but the game's lack of focus is an ultimate downfall that ends up turning what could be a really intriguing exploration and survival experience into a meandering , confused journey that loses appeal somewhere along the way.
I make no bones about being a huge fan of the Deus Ex series, and it pleases me to see that Square Enix is invested in releasing more from that universe. I think that while The Fall has some larger issues that unfortunately pop up right at the beginning, it's definitely worth its $10 if you enjoyed Human Revolution. It ends on a cliffhanger, so with the follow-up let's hope the development team learns some lessons from this and brings fans closer to the standard and features they've come to expect with the Deus Ex series.
Ether One is another in a string of successful first-person narrative games, and, while it has its dips here and there, is a completely worthwhile journey. The game explores some dark corners of mental health through its H.G. Wells-like setting and succeeds in delivering a graphically rich, story-driven adventure wholly worth your time.
The visuals and music are gorgeous, as usual, with an eclectic mix of genres to match the game's fast, frantic, and flashy fighting gameplay. Fans of the previous games in the series won't be disappointed, and may find a lot to love in how the game has been treated, only expanding on its previous elements.
Cloudbuilt is a genre hybridization of a game that works on almost every level, and if you're looking for something new, look no further.
What we have with Quest of Dungeons is a fairly competent Rogue-like that doesn't do much to make it a stand out in the genre. It does a good job of setting up unique classes and skills as well as presenting some difficult bosses. I would like to say that it could be good bit of quick fun, but some little issues with controls and some unnecessary interface issues really hold the game back from being as fun as it should.
My only complaint? I wish there were more. I loved every minute of heart pounding, puzzle solving, mind-blow inducing minute of Year Walk, but I think I'm spoiled in wanting another few hours from a story that may best be served short and sweet. There's a quality over quantity argument to be made here, but overall I believe Year Walk accomplishes a full, well-paced narrative appropriate for the $5.99 price tag.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes shines with its nipped and tucked mechanics. It feels like a step forward, and away from the Metal Gear series that I've grown tired of, but the bloated, preposterous narrative is in desperate need of liposuction.
Hearthstone is accessible and fun. Even without purchasing cards it's a very fun game to play and winning repeatedly is very possible. The game's mechanics are easily learned, but combining them into a winning strategy is a complex and fun process.
Luftrauser was too difficult, extreme, and monochrome for some and I'm happy to report that this remake does absolutely nothing to address these issues, but rather only expands upon them gloriously..
If you are looking for a game that you can pick up and play really quickly while waiting to go to school, while something sits in the oven, or while you wait for your boyfriend or girlfriend to finish getting ready, this is a game for you. Awesomenauts Assemble! is an incredibly fun game to pick up at a moment's notice and still fully immerse yourself in its wackiness.
Of all the PVP arena games to have come out in the past year or so, Towerfall stood out as probably the cream of the crop, and Towerfall Ascension not only brings that experience to a wider audience, but actually manages to improve immensely on an already fantastic experience. The first time I ever played Towerfall was when a friend shared it with me and others in his hotel room at a gaming convention.
Thankfully enough, Respawn and Titanfall did indeed deliver on the high quality that came to be expected from this game's immense amount of hype and marketing. While highly-advertised games often run the risk of not living up to expectations, it is very refreshing to see that Titanfall goes above and beyond in terms of quality.
