9 / 10.0 - DEADCRAFT
Jun 23, 2022

Deadcraft is a game for those who feel Rune Factory is too saccharine with its pastel visuals and girly character designs and needed a lot more punk nihilism. It may not have the dazzling veneer of a AAA production, but Deadcraft will suck gamers in with its creativity and style.

NECRO XIII

While Capcom Fighting Collection costs $39.99, this is a great assortment of games that you can play offline or online with friends. Sharing experiences from playing through the RPG-like fighter of Red Earth that was only in Japanese arcades before now is something that will add more to the conversation. Everything is nostalgic but it doesn’t try to believe in something that’s not there, and that’s why we definitely recommend adding Capcom Fighting Collection to your library.

The sleek and dazzling Nintendo polish does not disappoint in Mario Strikers: Battle League, and the online felt smooth and responsive even with a subpar connection speed. It could use a bit more variety and some mini-games to add some value, but you won’t find a more intense and in-your-face ball sport than Mario Strikers: Battle League.

7 / 10.0 - Final Vendetta
Jun 16, 2022

It can feel too derivative at times, but Final Vendetta’s adherence to the past has its value for daring to offer something that most devs are too afraid to do. It isn’t the best, but you will likely not find a more spicy and unrelenting beat ’em up than Final Vendetta.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is a love letter to both of the previous arcade titles, but also brings the Turtles into a more mechanically relevant beat-em-up, ensuring that all new generations of Turtles fans can have a great time with this newest entry from Dotemu.

In its current state of this review, Evil Dead: The Game is sorely lacking content and variety, but it does have a lot of potential. A medieval inspired stage called Castle Kandar is going to be included in a future update and who knows; maybe the 2013 remake might get represented one day. There needs to be more fleshed out single player material and different modes for sure.

8 / 10.0 - Card Shark
Jun 4, 2022

Every aspect of Card Shark is polished to a mirror sheen. It is one of the most original ideas ever realized recent years and it is executed with extreme confidence and panache. Anyone who is a fan of adventure games will find Card Shark to be an enthralling journey.

7 / 10.0 - Silt
Jun 1, 2022

Silt is a very solid 2D adventure game. It is elevated by its powerful verisimilitude in its art and gripping sound design. Fans of surreal adventures with a vague story that is open to interpretation and 2D puzzling gameplay should check this one out.

8 / 10.0 - Kao the Kangaroo
May 27, 2022

Despite still relying on a lives mechanic, Kao the Kangaroo is still a very easy going 3D platformer aimed for kids. The intended target audience will likely adore this title and gamers who grew up and miss games like this will feel like they are coming home.

8.5 / 10.0 - Sniper Elite 5
May 25, 2022

So if you like immersive sniper combat and the satisfaction of landing those sneaky headshots, then Sniper Elite 5 is a game for you. The game is nothing but wall to wall tactical and precise sniping, bombing, and assassination. There’s some running and gunning, but if you play the way the game is designed, you won’t be doing much of that.

6.5 / 10.0 - MotoGP 22
May 23, 2022

But for us more experienced players or motorcycle enthusiasts MotoGP 22 sadly plays it too safe, with sterile, flat textured race tracks and very little variation between the different motorcycles, there just isn’t a lot to offer for those who aren’t massive fans of MotoGP as a sport that other motorcycle simulators already do, and in most cases better.

4.5 / 10.0 - Dolmen
May 20, 2022

Dolmen isn’t a terrible game, but it definitely wasn’t ready to be released yet. Perhaps it can be improved by future patches, but as it stands, there’s no way this game is worth $20 in its current state, let alone $40. Pick up Dolmen if it shows up free on PS+ or Xbox Game Pass, but otherwise, go play Hellpoint or The Surge games if you want a futuristic Souls clone.

In totality, Implausible Industries has put together a solid debut title in this game. Research and Destroy has fun aesthetics and the variety it possesses makes for many hours engrossing gameplay. As long as the player is willing to change their style, this game has a lot of replay value where no one battle is the same.

7 / 10.0 - Seven Pirates H
May 12, 2022

At the risk of projecting my own prejudices about this sort of game, it seems apparent to me that gameplay and strategy came second to fanservice, and that’s perfectly fine. You just have to embrace it like they did in this game.

May 10, 2022

Nintendo Switch Sports is an overpriced compilation of mini-games aimed for children. It is also very polished but also sorely lacking content and even with golf, it won’t be enough to justify the lack of effort in this product. It is amusing to go online and to rob children of getting a victory, but even that becomes hollow when there are so few ways to make it compelling.

If you’re a fan of puzzle games, deep sea creatures, and 3D platforming, I highly recommend Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles. Just be sure to take breaks while playing so you don’t go blind from all the neon lights— or go crazy from all the blips and bloops that form this game’s aquatic language.

9.5 / 10.0 - Trek to Yomi
May 5, 2022

So many games have tried to present a cinematic experience but the vast majority have no idea what they’re talking about. Trek to Yomi is one of those rare games that not only mesmerizes with its finesse and all-encompassing presentation, it manages to leave an impression on you just like Kurosawa’s films did. Trek to Yomi receives my highest recommendation.

6 / 10.0 - Suhoshin

If you are seeking to brush up on your ancient Korean culture or looking for a quick murder mystery Suhoshin might be up your alley. If graphic depictions of violence are more your thing, you might find Suhoshin a bit too tame for your taste.

8 / 10.0 - Maglam Lord
May 3, 2022

Maglam Lord is a simple story with unforgettable characters who you will meet and argue or fight alongside with. While Maglam Lord is a shorter experience for sure, it’s definitely a fun ride of fighting and love. Dialogue is quirky and funny especially with the voice acting on top of it.

10 / 10.0 - Painting VR
Apr 28, 2022

Painting VR is not like Tilt Brush where it’s not so much painting, but making 3D sculptures. All the developers behind Painting VR wanted was for the game to be about the Joy of Painting. Painting VR provides it to those who would be unable to paint in the meat space by giving them a chance to have an authentic painting experience within the virtual space.
