10 Second Ninja X is a game with so many pros and so little cons, I don't see any reason to not pick it up and give it a try. It may not look like much at first glance, but dig a little deeper and you'll realize that this game is quite the gem.
The bottom line is that Human Fall Flat is fun, challenging, and charming in its simplicity.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven delivers a truly authentic visual representation of Hirohiko Araki's work. CyberConnect2 nailed it visually but failed to iterate on their past works with other licensed anime products to produce, instead, a forgettable 2-on-2 fighter. JoJo deserves far better.
I try to go easy on one-man passion projects, but Albedo: Eyes From Outer Space has so many things wrong with it that this is impossible. Everything from the frustrating puzzles to the awkward combat to what must be the worst control scheme I've ever seen just kept driving me past the point of forgiveness.
Replica offers a great interactive experience. Its story is complex, with an ability to make players reconsider all of their actions and ideals. Replica's cellphone-inspired gameplay is immersive and realistic. Unfortunately, the story is repetitive after the first playthrough and backtracking is monotonous as the narrative expands. Still, Replica creates a shocking experience for anyone who likes a good mystery.
If you can get it for far cheaper than it's going for, if you can play it with friends, and if you have totally exhausted every other twin-stick shooter on the market, then I can give Ghostbusters a very weary "maybe" recommendation. Yet everything this game does is done far better and far cheaper by so many other games.
Videoball manages to strip away all the unnecessary elements taking a minimalist approach and leaving an extremely refined end product. Its simplicity allows its game mechanics to be picked up quickly and its visual style to be instantly recognizable.
Song of the Deep's story is touching, its art is beautiful, and its soundtrack is lovely, all of which come together to make a visual treat. Then I had to actually play it and I found it frustrating at some times, boring at others, and quite glitchy. Some may be able to forgive it, but I can't see many doing so.
An easy Game of the Year contender, Inside is an example of game design executed near perfectly.
PAC-MAN 256 is everything you'd want out of a modern reinterpretation of the arcade classic. It may not have all the substance in the world, but it's a great time waster to put into the rotation whenever you have a podcast to listen to.
Although Monster Hunter Generations isn't exactly the sort of series evolution that Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate was, it's still the most interesting Monster Hunter to date. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate might just edge out Generations for newer players with its engaging single-player story - but even then, Monster Hunter Generations is a game that you absolutely do not want to miss.
Zero Time Dilemma is a more than fitting end to a series already known for its gripping narrative and compelling characters. Director/writer Kotaro Uchikoshi has outdone himself here and delivered, most assuredly, his magnum opus. This is narrative risk-taking and some of the best storytelling available in the medium that manages to overcome its presentational flaws to offer a must-play experience.
Lost Sea simply doesn't do enough to set it apart from other games within the same genre. While it does some things competently, there are still plenty of flaws that stand in the way of it being anything special.
Having zero redeeming qualities is the best compliment I can give Overlord: Fellowship of Evil. It is, without a doubt, the worst video game I have ever played in my life and the only reason I'm not giving it a 0 is because, technically, it runs.
One Piece: Burning Blood is a great experience for fans of the One Piece Series. Those who are familiar with One Piece will be excited to see their favorite characters in a faithful representation of a pivotal story arc. However, there is not enough happening in Burning Blood's fighting mechanics to spike the interests of those who are either unfamiliar with or new to the series.
I believe that Asemblance caters to a very specific niche of gamers. If you love tearing apart a game and trying to figure out how every little secret and every item placement is relevant to the grand scheme of things and you really love a complicated ARG, then this is the game you need in your life. Everyone else will probably only be confused and frustrated.
Corpse Party, a new port of the 2008 remake of the original, will bring exposure to the title's great narrative for many. It is, however, decidedly lacking in comparison to the PSP remake of 2011 or the upcoming 3DS version. It can still bring the spooks but it simply doesn't go as far as the other versions. Play those instead.
Some strong storytelling and puzzling don't save the game from bland visuals and frustrating mechanics.
Tick Tock Isle is a great start to what could be a fantastic game, but as it is it's fairly average. Out of place platforming and a lacking story hold Tick Tock Isle back from what is otherwise a solid (but short) adventure game.
