TechRaptor's Reviews

6.5 / 10.0 - Volume
Sep 29, 2015

This game is not bad by any stretch, it just might not hold your attention for long enough to get through it all. A little more variety in the game and the way you play it would go a long way.

4.5 / 10.0 - Stasis
Sep 26, 2015

STASIS is visually well made and has some great atmospheric elements, but the annoying dialogue and preachy story drag it down a lot.

Afro Samurai 2 is a watered down bootleg of the previous game, with its soundtrack being its only redeeming merit.

6 / 10.0 - Blood Bowl II

While Blood Bowl 2 is a solid game on its own, it suffers from the lack of variety compared to the previous game.

SOMA tells an interesting albeit convoluted story but is a chore to play through.

6 / 10.0 - Bedlam
Sep 23, 2015

Skyshine's Bedlam is a competent game with a lot of surface polish, but somewhat unsatisfying gameplay. Overall, Ultra Despair Girls manages to be both a worthy distraction between the two mainline Danganronpa titles, while also giving a new coat of paint to the series' formula.

6.5 / 10.0 - Armello
Sep 10, 2015

In the end, Armello does not strive for anything more than being a polished and well-rounded experience, and despite some lingering complaints on its lack of communication and interactivity, it is a worthwhile purchase for any board game fan.

6.5 / 10.0 - 0RBITALIS
Sep 9, 2015

0rbitalis is a simple game. It has a minimalist aesthetic and hands off game mechanics, which make the game perfect for casual play. The game is easy to stop playing for a while, but hard to stay away from.

7.5 / 10.0 - Mad Max
Sep 7, 2015

Mad Max is a flawed experience, but its late game character moments and beautiful wasteland save it from being purely mediocre.

I Can't Escape: Darkness is vague, contains random and frustrating win states, not scary, and the best part is the secrets and sound design.

Shutshimi fails somewhat to swim against the current of other procedural games, but its unique charms are hard to argue with and its gameplay is solid and enjoyable.

7 / 10.0 - Victor Vran
Aug 29, 2015

It's a good romp run through ruins and wreaking havoc with demon powers, but does not provide much more substance than that.
