68 / 100 - ReCore
Sep 16, 2016

ReCore has potential to be a fun and memorable video game experience, but its ridiculously long load times hamper your time with it. If you are inpatient or don't like wasting time, you should probably pass on this one or wait for a patch.

69 / 100 - Darksiders III
Nov 27, 2018

Darksiders 3 opted to strip itself down a bit when compared to what Darksiders 2 offered, but after spending time with it, the game’s relatively straightforward experience can grow on you if you’re into challenging games that don’t hold your hand. If you wanted more of what you got in the last game though, you will be let down, because this sequel leans more towards a Dark Souls-lite experience than a new Darksiders one.

69 / 100 - DEXED
Feb 3, 2017

If you want to challenge your ability as a gamer Dexed will definitely provide the challenge for you, but it’s not a title that I would say is a must own for PSVR users.

70 / 100 - Unruly Heroes
Jan 31, 2019

Unruly Heroes is a new multi-platform title from Magic Design Studios that features Action/Adventure style gameplay set in a beautiful looking, mystical land, with a narrative based on the Monkey King Legend. Its mix of platforming, combat, and puzzle-solving offers up a nice variety of gameplay, and while the combat controls leave much to be desired and can cause a bit of rage at times, the overall experience is still pretty enjoyable.

This is a very slow episode for most of its main acts, but thanks to the shocking final act, it ends up being a worthy addition to the Telltale Walking Dead franchise.

70 / 100 - Knockout League
Feb 21, 2018

Knockout League is as close as it gets to playing Mike Tyson's Punch-Out in VR. It's not perfect, but it's good enough to make you feel like Little Mac.

This episode can get dull with its pacing at times, but the focus on Bruce Wayne does lead to some new insights into what makes him tick, as well as the motivations and personalities of some of Gotham's most iconic criminals.

WRC 7 faithfully recreates a rally racing experience. The cars in the game almost directly match their real life counterparts. The locations are beautiful and the driving is challenging and fun. Some graphical hiccups and glitches held this one back.

Battlefront 2 shines with its modern looking visuals and polish, and also has a great Star Wars campaign, but its multiplayer modes are plagued by a messed up progression system that may never provide the experience gamers were hoping to get for their $60.

The fourth episode of Telltale's The Walking Dead: A New Frontier is pretty uneventful and borderline monotonous until its climax, which somehow channels the pure evil of a villain like Negan, and finishes the episode off with a bang. Literally.

Symphony of the Machine excels with its puzzle gameplay and its use of VR, but things get wonky with the camera due to how often you have to reposition yourself on the level to achieve your goals.

70 / 100 - 2Dark
Mar 15, 2017

2Dark is the latest creation from the mind of Frederick Raynal, the creator of Alone in The Dark, and his new studio, Gloomywood. It’s a stealth-horror-adventure game with survival elements.

Something is off in the fourth episode of Telltale's Batman series, which is the first episode that didn't ensnare me with its unique take on the Batman mythos. With that being said it is still worth playing if you've already invested yourself into the series.

While the graphics could have been worked on a little better, $19.99 is still a good price to pay for a game that has plenty to do.

The Dwarves features a few great ideas and appealing systems that are unfortunately offset by too much downtime.

70 / 100 - Pirate Pop Plus

While this game didn't really do much to impress me, it isn't bad. If they could patch it on the 3DS to allow full-screen it would make the game much more playable and enjoyable.

Robinson: The Journey is a capable VR experience for the PSVR that has great visuals and a cool setting, but a high price tag, slow movement speeds, and the lack of Move support hold it back from being a must buy experience.

Zombasite has some genuinely unique and interesting ideas but its presentation and user-friendliness will be a barrier to some players.

70 / 100 - Worms W.M.D
Aug 23, 2016

This is classic Worms gameplay with enough new features to make it feel fresh again. Still, the lack of true evolution stops it from feeling like the instant classic that the earliest games in the series were. However, when you're having this much fun blowing up your enemies with tanks and banana bombs who can argue about originality?
