The Signal From Tölva has a lot of ideas but ultimately fails to follow through with a huge majority of them. While combat is fun, a huge part of why it is fun is because it is a break from how monotonous the game is. While the design for weapons and some parts of the terrain are interesting, the rest of the game just does not live up to it. The game, like the game-world you explore, is empty for the most part with some interesting pieces scattered here and there.
I can say though that for an indie game, this still provides a unique and enjoyable experience. Though the graphics is not on par to the likes of Horizon Zero Dawn, it is great in its own unique and quirky way. If you're looking for an adventure that is not Zelda, then this game is for you.
Dawn of War 3 is confusing. It revives the old ideas of Dawn of War 1, but does it pretty badly. It completely removes the ideas from Dawn of War 2 because it is too uncontrollable for e-sports.
I did enjoy this game but the longer I played the more bored I get. Running and jumping from platforms was fun but seeing the same platforms gets dull.
Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 is a one way ticket to nostalgia express if you are a fan of the Versus series.
Lego City Undercover is a fun and entertaining game. If you love anything that's Lego and want to immerse yourself in an open world that comes alive and reacts to whatever you do, then this is a game worth playing. The amusement it provides is worthwhile and it's one of those games that you would love going back to. Lego City Undercover is Lego's answer to Grand Theft Auto and I can say that they definitely delivered. And the best part? You can play this with a friend!
Overall, Super Rude Bear Resurrection is a platformer, which shouldn't slip under your radar, especially if you like getting kicked in the balls. You'll die over and over again, but you'll have a lot of fun doing so, while some grimey music blasts in the background. Also, be sure to try and beat the whole game without dying, there's a $1000 waiting for you at the end of it.
Although I can't wait to see what happens in the next episode. It's leaving me feeling like the game has not moved at all. For the last 2 episodes we've only been introduced to one location, not like what we had for the last 2 seasons where almost each episode takes us to a different place. I hope that this game will still be able to reinvent itself and introduce us to more locations and characters in the future. But right now it seems that they slowed things down and just focused on the characters and not the location.
In the end, Tangled Up in Blue shows me that not everything fits into the standard Telltale Formula. Mechanics found in other Telltale games feel out of place in this title and decisions carried very little weight to what we were doing. That said, it was still an enjoyable experience and built up enough intrigue to make me consider checking out the other episodes. If anything, this can quench your GotG thirst until the movie arrives.
From the perspective of a new fan of the Mass Effect franchise, this game was a huge amount of fun and I never felt myself left out for not having played the other 3 Mass Effect games.
If you've never played the original, this is a good time to play the game since you will be treated to its enhanced visuals. The story is little to be desired but the game shines with its gameplay. The chaos and the carnage it bring is just so entertaining that you wouldn't really mind about the story at all.
For those who enjoy visual novels, or are looking for a Sunday afternoon in front of the couch for a casual playthrough, Late Shift is catered exactly for you. However if you’re looking for something little more fast paced, you could safely pass on this one. The FMV genre is certainly interesting, and with plenty of positive reviews on Steam, CtrlMovie may very well be in a position to explore other film genres to continue to strengthen their fanbase.
Little Nightmares gives you what a platformer game needs to be. I enjoyed every bit of its level design and its creepiness. There’s nothing more I can say about Tarsier Studios latest title – it’s a nightmare you probably would love to spend your whole night in.
Overall, Persona 5 has really captured my heart. With 70+ hours of gaming, I haven't had this much fun since the last Persona game. I will definitely keep playing it and will even play it into the New Game+. The New Game Plus allows you to keep certain items that you have gotten from the game but it resets your relationship meter with the characters among other things. If you are into old school JRPG, this is definitely the game you have been waiting for. At its price point the game is totally worth it and even more. I am even willing to spend for this game's DLC. It's just that good. Now let me get back to the game and see if I can pass this school exam.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a game of legends and one you don't want to skip out on.
As you can tell Dead Rising 4 is a flawed experience. Veterans of the series dislike it, a myriad of technical issues (on PC), and a relatively short and lack luster campaign prevents it from being a great game altogether. If, however you can look past its blemishes and just focus on the fun part of the game then you will be rewarded with a giddy smile while getting covered in organic paste. I recommend waiting for a huge sales drop before picking this one up.
Even if Yooka-Laylee is inspired from Banjo-Kazooie, since ex-Rare developers joined up with Team17, for players who didn’t get to play the aforementioned game will definitely enjoy this Banjo-successor. The worlds you get to explore, the characters you meet, and how visually spectacular the game is, Yooka-Laylee is a platformer that you don’t want to miss.
2Dark offers exciting moments for each mission, just don’t let it frustrate you. I recommend that if you get the game, complete and finish it. A very compelling and weird sick story for a 2.5D game despite all the bugs, sound glitches, and frustration we encountered, we were still able to finish the game and enjoy it through the end.
I honestly believe that Cavalier and Tequila hit the nail right on the head for this one.
If you already owned Halo Wars on the Xbox 360 and you own an Xbox One, there is nothing much to justify for buying the Ultimate Edition of Halo Wars 2 if you’re not into the multiplayer side. The improvements weren’t major, it’s technically the same game from the Xbox 360. It was a nice experience gameplay wise, but the story and character development were just disappointing.
