On the surface it’s a silly cartoon game with poop jokes but once you’ve spent some time with it you realise that it’s an RPG with brilliant gameplay and structure.

8 / 10.0 - FIFA 18

Overall the game plays fantastically, especially if you’re an attacking team like Madrid.

All in all, as a newcomer, Middle-earth: Shadow of War brings somewhat clunky controls, unnecessary loot boxes and an ending effectively locked behind either paying or grinding leads to a sour first impression. The game looks brilliant, sounds brilliant and really grips you with it’s updated rendition of the Nemesis System… But I can’t help but feel that there’s better out there. It’s a fun walk through Mordor, but a fun game…? Perhaps not entirely.

A fun, easy VR platformer. Great to have a less intense, non horror focused game on the VR.

It’s a really great monster capture game with fun combat and a lot of reason to grind and level up your Digimon. The story line is enjoyable enough and gives you a good reason to play the game through.

8.5 / 10.0 - The Evil Within 2
Oct 15, 2017

Almost all my complaints from the first game have been addressed and handled better. And to top it off, the things that I adored about the first game have been improved to an extremely high degree of polish. I seriously recommend this for anyone looking for something spooky to play this Halloween.

At the end of the day you have an exciting cyberpunk experience with a beautiful atmosphere and soundtrack. You likely wont be picking this up for the best narrative of the year, and find most of the enjoyment in taking down fools while improving your skills. Overall I had a lot of fun playing this game, getting around 5 hours out of it. While I do wish there was more to do and ways to make a second round more appealing, I did enjoy going through it.

The gameplay doesn’t work, the story is nonsense (Even by Japanese standards) and the graphics are piss poor. It’s easily the worst game I’ve played on the PS4.

Overall I think this is a must buy for any psvr owner and would be a fantastic game to showcase the fun you can have.

9 / 10 - Cuphead
Oct 5, 2017

The creators of this game had to remortgage their home just to make this game a reality. And all the hardships they have suffered through have been 100% worth it and I wish them the best of luck in their next endeavor. Overall Cuphead has been an absolutely fantastic experience and I just wanna keep playing it long after beating it. It has some parts that could’ve used a little extra but as it is I feel it’s almost perfect at what it sought to achieve.

Despite the rage it’s caused, I love this game, it’s simple and disorientating and therapeutic and confusing and charming. The game has managed to be a form of distraction from things that I needn’t worry about and I think that’s one of its best features. It can just drag you in and engulf you for hours at a time. But the game never stays the same, the game likes to throw new situations at you, it’s easy to embrace and gives great satisfaction once the sector is cleared.

I’m not going to give a score to ‘The Norwood Suite’. It’s pointless, even more so that any normal review. This isn’t an experience that can be scored and numbered, nor is it one that can be categorized or recommended based on other titles. Unless you’ve played and enjoyed the 10-minute prequel, “Off-Peak,” that is. But I will say this- if you’re the kind of person who enjoys art, or mystery, or even just a good theory craft- then you have to play ‘The Norwood Suite’. You won’t regret it.

I feel like this could have been a good Lego game but it was cheapened by being a typical spin off game for a kids movie.

3.5 / 10.0 - Culdcept Revolt
Sep 30, 2017

Overall, what’re my thoughts of Culdcept Revolt? All in all, Culdcept Revolt is a confusing blend of Monopoly, Fire Emblem, Mario Party, Hearthstone, and Yu-Gi-Oh…But that pot gets far too muddled far too quickly – The beginning tutorial is confusing, characters are often bland, with little to no motivation and reasoning behind them, and overall, the game looks and plays like a budget DS title. If you’re interested in this sort of game, and inside of this ‘extreme niche’, then you’d probably be better off just playing the less serious and more mechanically sound “100% Orange Juice”, which follows the same sort of mechanics and gameplay.

Nintendo have succeeded again at creating an addicting gameplay experience that is just a blast to do with friends. I’ve invited my brother around to just chill and play this game with and it always puts a smile on our faces. Thanks to this being on the Switch I’ve had a lot of opportunity to use the handheld mode (yes one of those places being the toilet). It’s just so exciting to play a HD game like Mario Kart on the train without any sacrifices made towards performance or visuals. Overall this game brings forward the existing formula onto a platform that’s begging for it. I’ve put a ton of use into it and there’s never really anything negative to say towards the actual game itself. It’s always just been the online that Nintendo struggles to improve.

Overall I can’t help but feel disappointed in this game. It may never live up to the legend status of MvC3. Its definitely making waves and people are enjoying the game competitively but the ugly characters, shitty story, lack of any longevity and downright awful roster won’t keep my attention for long. I don’t even find joy in saying, “WHEN’S MAHVEL?” because now it’ll bring back memories of this game.

4 / 10.0 - Maize
Sep 22, 2017

In the end Maize turned out to be kind of a boring mess. I’m pretty sure there will be people out there that absolutely adore this game and it’s comedy and puzzle solving and all that but it just wasn’t for me. I do enjoy games of this genre but this just wasn’t a well executed game. To quote my friend who was playing this with me, “I would rather be doing SAT Math.”

You know what I’m done! There’s nothing more to say. It’s clear that there’s a market for this game and is also clear that that market won’t be reading this review. Mostly because they’ll be too busy shining their anime doll collection and cuddling up to a love pillow deciding which fedora to wear tomorrow. If you like Anime good for you but I can grantee you still won’t enjoy this broken whiney mess of a game that had a development team more focused on making tits bounce about than making a fight that made any sense! It’s over! I’m done! Peace out!
