F1 developers have perfected their formula in the past 4 to 5 years and F1 2021 didn’t really need to make a lot of changes but the two player career mode is a welcomed addition but the returning story mode is not as good as the rest of the package and needs better writing and acting for future versions. The best asset here is the amount tweaks you can make to difficulty and simulation settings, making it a great choice for both causal and professional racing game fans.

At around 10 hours, Bloodline doesn’t have enough time to fix all the shortcomings of Legion but the more focused story and fully realized characters make us question if the “play as anyone” gimmick was actually a good idea or if it needed more time in the oven for it to truly shine.

The combat and controls doesn't feel as refined as it should but the exploration and world building are top notch which make Black Skylands truly one of the few early access worth buying the ticket to from the very beginning.

As an arcade racing game this ticks all the right boxes, there are 5 different worlds and 50 cars to play around with and all the multiplayer are fun without any of the stress associate with online video games.

Like when it first came out, there are too many ideas here and they are not as deep as they should be to come together as a nice whole but the audio-visual presentation kind of helps to ease the hassle of having to deal with a semi-disjointed progression.

The audio and visual presentations are among the best in any remake we’ve seen in all these years and the option to instantly switch to old version is a great bonus but gameplay-wise, the developers have stuck too close to the original design which has resulted in a very frustrating game, even by platforming genre’s usual “annoyance first, fun later” philosophy.

Spiritfarer hits all the right emotional notes. In a game that is all about death and loss of people that you love, you don’t have to worry about winning or losing, just being a good person and helping others in need is all that is required of you and that's exactly why you should be playing this game.

Th story and gameplay of Scarlet Nexus are so great that it feels totally new and one of kind. Visual wise, this feels like peak anime inspired video game. So, just go play it because you will definitely enjoy it to no end.

Although it looks low budget and the events are about half of what they were in the last Official Video Game of the Olympics around a decade ago, this is still a fun experience specially in co-op.

Aside from visuals that sometimes get in the way of reading the text parts and even understanding some of the actions, The Eternal Castle [REMASTERED] provides players with some interesting and totally different deep levels that have many secrets hidden in their nooks and crannies.

Although it’s not as crazy as the first one, No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle is still one crazy one of a kind video game and everything else about it is better than the franchise starter. The removal of the half-baked open world is the real hero here which gives us a tighter and more enjoyable experience.

The craziness that you can feel throughout No More Heroes is the spice that most recent of video games lack and for this very simple reason, it is worth braving this not so ideal of a port to experience this different frequency of energy.

You don’t have to try so hard to find the inspirations that ENDER LILIES: Quietus of the Knights has taken from the most famous Metroidvania and souls-like titles but it’s not a bad thing at all. This is as standard as a video game in this genre gets and thankfully it doesn’t punish you harshly for the mistakes that you make which in turn makes it one of the most fun Metroidvanias in years.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is truly a new generation video game that uses all this new raw power not just for eye-catching visuals but also for how it can be leveraged to implement new systems in gameplay and level design.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade adds a nice new short story with memorable characters and moments to the original package and fixes all the technical problems with the original one. There is also a new mini-game which you’ll probably sink a lot of time into and the action is even more bombastic than the original release.

The art style and its attention to details are mind blowing and any video game that make you sympathize with a bunch of scary monsters and question your own actions in real life is an experience well worth having.

This is a fantastic opportunity to re/visit one of the most influential action franchises of all time. The first one may not be as revolutionary as when it first came out and the third one is actually better than how it was treated when it first came out but as a whole, this is a pretty worthy proposition.

A thought-provoking and heartfelt story wrapped around a Zelda-esque adventure with great puzzles and the clever twist of using a painting mechanic to add color and draw on anything, Chicory: A Colorful Tale is one of the best games of 2021.

The combat design is not as good as you would expect from a fighting focused game and the RPG systems are buried under some very confusing UI and menus but all in all, this is one of the best and most fulfilling Dragon Ball video game experiences.

This has everything a parent or an older sibling needs when choosing a video game for the younger members of their household and it also has all the things that make modern open world games tick so this can act as a nice practice run for when those younger children become older life-long gamers.
