6.5 / 10.0 - Neon Caves
Apr 12, 2019

I really enjoyed my time with Neon Caves. It brought me back to memories of my first gaming experiences. Trying the publisher's other games as suggested in the loading screen is something I myself plan to do.

4 / 10.0 - Little Shopping
Apr 10, 2019

I'm not sure who Little Shopping is for. Sure, there's bright colors and even numbers to challenge young minds, but I'm positive a simple game of Tetris would be more satisfying and more stimulating than this barebones virtual shopping game. It's hard to recommend this game. As a former kid who was occasionally settled with poor titles, I can only say firmly: Kids deserve better.

OlliOlli: Switch stance is an awesome combination of two great games and packed with fun content. If you're a skateboarding fan or you just like a good sidescoller then you'll definitely want to check this one out.

Even though The Red Strings Club is in a pixelated genre which is oversaturated, the story all but makes up for it. I would recommend this despite its controls for anyone on a budget looking for a great story-telling game, and for all sci-fi/cyberpunk fans.

2 / 10.0 - Warparty
Apr 8, 2019

While Warparty is a visually stunning attempt at bringing real-time strategy to the Nintendo Switch, it's lacking in understandable controls and small maps that make the overall experience feel restrictive and monotonous.

8 / 10.0 - Cuphead
Apr 5, 2019

I certainly don't regret my time spent with Cuphead, but also I don't know when I'll pick up the game again. There's too much rinse and repeat and rote memorization of bosses to be fun for me after a while. That being said, if you're looking for a steep challenge, Cuphead will certainly satisfy. The game is definitely a huge accomplishment–I just wish it was more universally accessible and fun for everyone.

7.5 / 10.0 - 12 is Better Than 6
Apr 5, 2019

12 is Better Than 6 provides quick, intense battles coupled with a great soundtrack and visuals. I had an enjoyable time in the Wild West – much more than expected. A few tweaks could go a long way, but as it is, I highly recommend this game to anyone looking for something unique in the twin-stick genre.

Despite a few minor complaints here and there, fans of Yoshi games and platformers in general should give Yoshi’s Crafted World a go – there’s even a free demo, so there’s nothing to lose. I highly recommend the game to gamers who enjoy playing with their family or a young child. Although I had a few complaints here and there, it was nothing to make me not want to recommend the game.

Air Conflicts: Secret Wars maintains the pretty visuals and action-packed battles of the rest of the series, with a story that offers it more substances than its sisters.

Is this 22-year-old game worth your time? Absolutely.

If you tend to play games for the story, you'll find plenty to like about The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince. If you're more about the puzzles and the platforming action, however, it'd be best to leave this particular storybook on the shelf.

Air Conflicts: Pacific Carriers is a straightforward flight simulator that throws you into the heart of World War II dogfights and looks good doing it.

5 / 10.0 - Claybook
Apr 3, 2019

Claybook is admittedly ambitious. It's also quite a nice looking and unique game, with commendable user features. Yet it struggled to command my attention, lacking elements to maintain interest beyond a few minutes at a time. The community creations do help here to an extent, but the overall experience needs to be tightened, and perhaps reigned in a bit.

7 / 10.0 - Dungeon Stars
Apr 3, 2019

While this game may not have a lot of wow-factor, it is visually pleasing and the battle-mechanics are built for players who enjoy an adaptable hack-and-slash play style.

Undead's Building is a game built around using an elevator to save people from zombies in different buildings and garages. While there are only seven levels to play, this title still manages to overstay its welcome because of boring gameplay and generic character design.

While the replay value falls short once you've beaten the game, Trine 2: Complete Story offers plenty of challenging content to keep you busy for a while.

7 / 10.0 - Unit 4
Mar 31, 2019

Unit 4 is a game you can pick up and play, but small learning curves are required at times. This is mainly because combining your characters is crucial in navigating the challenges the game throws at you. For it to be enjoyed to its fullest, it is a matter of mastering the fun character switching mechanic with a sleight of hand to make the most of this fast-paced platformer. It's generally going to best served to those with some 2D platforming experience already under their belt.

8 / 10.0 - Mindball Play
Mar 29, 2019

While the linear design coupled with high difficulty is worth noting, the challenge leads to very satisfying gameplay. Mindball Play is a good-sized game, with polished aesthetics, and high replay value. This marble racer deserves a look.

My time with Braveland Trilogy was enjoyable however it still felt like there could have been a lot more done to add variety to the games. At the asking price of $14.99, it feels like a lot to spend on a so-so title, even if it breaks down to about $5.00 a game. It wasn't a terrible experience but when Braveland had something going for it, not enough focus seemed to be placed into it.
