Pure Nintendo's Reviews

If you love Nickelodeon shows, will make use of the online multiplayer, and find it on sale, I'd say check out Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix. But without any character clips, I feel like this game wasn't for me. It drove me crazy.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds is a decent fighting game marred by multiple bad campaign and transactional decisions. Like the real WWE, it's best enjoyed when you focus on what's happening in the ring and ignore everything that surrounds it.

Embracelet is a beautiful and emotional puzzle game with a focus on a story that explores maturity, identity and responsibility, both as an individual and as a global community.

Tank Mechanic Simulator has a lot to offer and could easily soak up hours of your time if you' have the patience to get used to the menus. However, it is a must play for any tank enthusiast.

3.5 / 10.0 - Bounty Battle
Oct 5, 2020

Can I give Bounty Battle a slight recommendation for character diversity alone? No, I can't. There are excessive issues through and through, including (but certainly not limited to) lack of fluency, gameplay variety, and depth.

7.5 / 10.0 - NBA 2K21
Oct 5, 2020

Overall, one does not have to be a massive fan of basketball to appreciate this game. Being a fan of basketball only adds to the enjoyment. If you enjoy playing sports games and are looking for a good basketball game NBA 2K 21 is undoubtedly that game to add to your collection.

If you have an hour or two to spare, Macbat 64: Journey of a Nice Chap is pretty good for the inexpensive price. The blurry visuals and the subpar camera are part of the nostalgic charm. The fun characters and level designs have me hoping for a more substantial sequel. So, pick this one up to help make it happen.

6 / 10.0 - Caveman Tales
Oct 2, 2020

Cavemen Tales isn't as good as its predecessor-the theme's weaker, and the characters are less appealing. Mostly, being an untimely reskin, it just can't have the same impact that Country Tales had.

8.5 / 10.0 - MO: Astray
Oct 1, 2020

While it has some needless gore and pacing baggage, MO: Astray is a success on the whole. The gameplay's unique and varied, the world's intriguing and fully realized, the bosses are memorable, and the challenge is addictive. Impressive stuff.

Coupled with a fun sketchbook art style and a hodgepodge of ideas from brawlers of the past, Super Punch Patrol does enough to stand out just enough in the beat 'em up crowd.

8 / 10.0 - Hamster Bob
Sep 30, 2020

Hamster Bob is a fun educational game for younger children. With a good interface and plenty of coloring activities, plus some other short games, this one should keep kids entertained for quite a few hours.

Phoenotopia: Awakening has a highly inviting look, but the gameplay can't match the tone. Some ill-fitting decisions work against it, and the emphasis isn't always where it should be. It's still an ambitious, impressive indie adventure that demonstrates real passion, but one reflecting growing pains.

6 / 10.0 - Tamiku
Sep 29, 2020

Tamiku is a modern arcade-style game with a rather charming presentation but ultimately the gameplay may be a bit too simple for some, especially given that the difficulty curve may scare away anyone who's never handled a joystick. If you're looking for an inexpensive and challenging arcade experience, Tamiku may scratch your particular itch.

7 / 10.0 - Over The Alps
Sep 29, 2020

Over the Alps is more for those who enjoy reading and watching a story unfold than those seeking good mystery gameplay. Go in with that in mind, and its fun interface, quality writing, and unique art will carry you through.

Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars will keep strategy gamers busy for a while, so you get decent value for money. I think the experience would be much more enjoyable with some well-aimed tutorial, movement, and UI refinements. Hopefully, we will get some improvements with the next installment, as I'm looking forward to seeing where this story can go.

Kwaidan: Azuma Manor Story may be okay for those who really like the historical Japanese theme, are eager to battle some old school monsters, and can tolerate dated and bizarre movement mechanics. Everyone else will be happier finding another title.

7 / 10.0 - Manifold Garden
Sep 25, 2020

Overall, Manifold Garden is a bit of a mixed bag. On the one hand, it has mesmerizing visuals, good puzzles, and a calming atmosphere. But there are a few negatives, like headaches, and music which lulls you to sleep. Priced at $19.99, I would recommend picking it up only if it's interesting to you and on sale.

4 / 10.0 - Golf Zero
Sep 25, 2020

Golf Zero has an unexpected twist on familiar gameplay, but the execution isn't in a manner that I found enjoyable. This physics platformer is a bogey on the Switch. Try the mobile version (with touch support) instead.
