9 / 10 - Pentiment
Dec 13, 2022

Pentiment is an unconventional take on a colorful and intertwined story that knows what it is doing very well. The free hand in decision-making creates a significant butterfly effect and can mess with the search for the killer. The period artwork enhances the entire experience wonderfully, and the solid historical foundations give the story even more depth.

Bendy and the Dark Revival is mediocre, which will be enough for the lay players. However, it will only leave the knowledgeable players wanting to play titles that fail to rip off, both story-wise and stylistically.

Midnight Suns is a title that cannot be easily described or recommended. It's a peculiar combination of a functional and addictive card-based combat system with something that shows hints of games like Fire Emblem. Building relationships with Marvel heroes is an integral part of this title, and the developers, if nothing else, have to be credited for going for something like this. Plenty of things and aspects could have been less or vastly improved upon, but all around, this game goes its way, and those it's designed for have dozens of hours of fun ahead of them.

Although the game suffers from some flaws, they are pretty mild. The Callisto Protocol is visually stunning, but unfortunately, the gameplay is mildly mediocre.

8 / 10 - Evil West
Nov 30, 2022

Evil West offers an unconventional combination of Wild West and vampire themes and does it ideally in every way. The game provides an enjoyable combat system combining close and ranged combat. It's a ride you'll enjoy from start to finish, and a similar pace would be the envy of many AAA titles.

LEGO Bricktales scores where it matters most, and that's good. It's just a shame that it's a title wrapped around mediocre content that doesn't always work in its favor.

New Tales from the Borderlands could easily have been a hit if there was a more exciting story. Or at least the game devoted more to it than barely two of the five episodes. And it's a real shame because, as it stands, it's just like a pretty funny sitcom, but without a story and with an otherwise pretty strong foundation that just resulted in a pretty unmemorable experience, even though it had a perfect start.

5 / 10 - PGA Tour 2K23
Nov 11, 2022

The whole game feels sloppy, as if the creators didn't care about it. This is a real shame because PGA Tour 2K23 definitely has the potential to be a quality title.

The Last Oricru was a very ambitious idea, and in its final form, it is not exactly a failure, but compared to other games in its genre, it cannot defend its name well enough. The constant technical difficulties, the cumbersome combat system, and the poorly told story are blows that a knowledgeable player can't shake.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II pretends to be a classic action showcase, which it still is, but at the same time, it tries to come up with new mechanics. These feel fresh, and it's excellent that Infinity Ward is trying to change up a stale franchise. The problem, however, is that it does it in a big way, so to speak, and every change it introduces is thrown at you several more times in the minutes that follow, even when the mission no longer can do so.

God of War Ragnarök is the culmination of everything the developers at Santa Monica Studio have learned over the years. They've brought together everything they do best: excellent character design, gorgeous rendering of locations and retelling of mythology, creative arena battles spiced with various skills, and switching between characters, all in a cinematic style telling a family story you wouldn't expect from the series. It's a combination of talents that few people can pull off in the gaming world. In its stylization and technological execution, this title is the pinnacle of the gaming industry.

5 / 10 - NHL 23
Oct 27, 2022

Fans of the series will definitely like NHL 23, whether it's the involvement of women's hockey or some small news. However, if you don't need to invest in a new edition, NHL 22 will suffice.

Gotham Knights deliver one of the best co-op experiences, but technical glitches and the finale pull the recommendation down slightly. The possibility of cooperation is not just a bonus but is one of the game's fundamental building blocks. However, that doesn't mean you won't enjoy the game if you play it alone. So we can recommend Gotham Knights with 7 points out of 10.

8 / 10 - Scorn
Oct 20, 2022

Scorn is an unusual horror game unlike any other. Ebb Software created a surreal experience built not on gameplay but on the actual feeling you get from playing the game. The atmosphere is heavy, and sometimes it gets a little more gross than usual. However, that may be one of the main reasons to push you forward. Mediocre gameplay is redeemed by stunning visuals, an overall feel, and excellent sound design.

A Plague Tale: Requiem doesn't bring revolution or change but merely grinds what the first installment brought in 2019. While this may seem like a minus, Requiem handles all the leading aspects of an action-adventure game, dispatching brilliantly. The story unravels the further journey of siblings Amicia and Hugo, introduce entirely new characters, and subverts your stereotypical idea of how the story could continue, creating some great twists. The gameplay may be somewhat basic, and you won't find anything else in the game besides stealth, action, and exploration, but thanks to the excellent pacing, you won't even mind eliminating enemies silently or aloud; you'll enjoy solving puzzles and exploring locations both beautiful and hideous. Requiem also continues to use rats creatively, though with them come some ills that will sometimes cause frustration, and don't expect too many graphical options on the console. There are very few, and the game languishes in places with its 30 frames per second. The visuals and styling are breathtaking, though. A Plague Tale: Requiem thus proves that linear games can still be fun in 2022 and that you don't need a revolution to create a unique experience.

7 / 10 - FIFA 23

FIFA 23 is full of bugs from the past. However, all the bad things are balanced by this year's novelties. EA is ending its brand with pride, and we are all curious about the new EA Sports FC.

Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed brings fun and simple gameplay that is just enough for one playthrough. But the possibility of returning to any location and mission with friends adds a new dimension to the game. We recommend the game with 7 points out of 10.

7 / 10 - Grounded
Oct 5, 2022

Grounded indeed doesn't bring anything new to the table, except for its creative concept, which is original and well thought out. The mediocre story complements the otherwise challenging grind and makes it far more bearable than we would forgive another game. Fortunately, if you play Grounded in multiplayer - you'll have a great time.

9 / 10 - As Dusk Falls
Jul 18, 2022

As Dusk Falls tells a compelling story and offers an excellent gameplay experience. The game tries to fill a significant market gap because the demand for interactive visual novels is relatively high. But teams capable of creating a good story adventure are scarce. Nevertheless, we are delighted that INT./NIGHT studio has tried to do it. The gameplay brings nothing new to the table, but it still manages to tell a competitive story that you'll be thinking about for days after you finish it.
