Front Mission 3: Remake doesn't do a good job in updating the classic game, but its base is still compelling. For fans of RPGs, tactical games and mecha, it's worth getting to know the game, whether in its original version or the remake.

Mado Monogatari: Fia and the Wondrous Academy is an RPG that tries to make a curious mix in its combat, but it ends up being only frustrating and lackluster. With an uninteresting base, the experience doesn't appeal and is a bad way to bring back Compile's classic franchise to a new generation.

System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster is easily one of the best games I've played this year. I'd always heard great things about it, and this re-release lived up to expectations and beyond. Minor hiccups don't tarnish the reputation of this FPS and horror classic, packed with macabre ambiance, sparse music to create a terrifying atmosphere, a charismatic villain, and sharp gameplay.

No Sleep For Kaname Date - From AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES is a new adventure that ends up being simpler and more predictable than its predecessors. Without the same weight to the story and the gameplay, the end result is lukewarm and not as compelling, though it still has a solid enough base not to be a complete waste.

9.5 / 10.0 - Donkey Kong Bananza
Jul 16, 2025

Donkey Kong Bananza follows the successful formula of Super Mario Odyssey, with great additions like a skill tree, functional customizations, strategic transformations, and intense exploration. It’s liberating to destroy everything in your path, with beautiful and varied layers, charismatic NPCs, and Pauline’s stories that are always worth listening to. The outfits acquired throughout the journey do more than change appearance—they also offer important functionalities like poison resistance, health recovery, and longer transformation durations, which are key to progress. The game can be finished in about 50 hours without feeling tired or bored, and there’s even post-game content. The only downside is the ease of the battles, but everything else makes up for it. Donkey Kong Bananza is a must-have for Switch 2 owners.

6 / 10.0 - No Heroes Here 2
Jul 15, 2025

No Heroes Here 2 is definitely a game that exists. It doesn’t try to reinvent the genre but fulfills its purpose. Playing with friends is extremely fun, and that’s its main focus. However, the disaster of coordinating everything alone and the visibility of its simplicity and lack of purpose make it a title hard to recommend or even mention as an example in discussions about national games, being overshadowed by Mark of the Deep or its predecessor. At the end of the day, it’s just a castle to defend, work for coins, and that’s it.

In a genre in which the games are looking ever more generic, Lost in Random: The Eternal Die manages to show its own qualities as a roguelite with charismatic characters and addicting combat mechanics. Beyond that, the way the premise fits the map randomization format and rewards is very satisfying.

9 / 10.0 - Everdeep Aurora
Jul 14, 2025

There's a lot to learn about the world of Everdeep Aurora. Each new road we explore in these underground tunnels have discoveries that may even influence the various endings of the game. The good side is that it's not necessary to play the whole campaign again to see what every ending holds. It's a pacific metroidvania that does its job well in presenting captivating characters in 16 bits and a mystery as deep as Everdeep itself.

There's big potential in Rooftops & Alleys: The Parkour Game that, unfortunately, was not reached due to certain limitations from the game's concept. [...] Even so, I had fun with my initial blunders and with learning the leaps and pirouette sequences that the game has to offer in its combinations. Photo Mode is a welcome extra and it's possible to feel that the base for a great sequel is already done.

9.5 / 10.0 - Until Then
Jul 1, 2025

Until Then is a text adventure with an impactful narrative and beautiful direction that make it a strong example of what the genre can do. It's a must-play, be it on Switch or other platforms, especially for those who love the genre or personal growth tales and human drama.

7.5 / 10.0 - Gex Trilogy
Jul 1, 2025

At the end of the day, Gex Trilogy is a lean and unpretentious collection, frustrating in its lack of major additions, but it fulfills its role of bringing the irreverent lizard back into the spotlight. The lack of visual polish, alternate versions and temperamental camera are balanced by good performance, fidelity to the original products and very welcome additions like rewind and revamped save.

For those looking for a dive the Tate no Yuusha universe, PICROSS Records of The Shield Hero isn't an ideal entry point. However, this work holds the quality we've come to expect from the Picross line on Switch and it's a good pick for those who love puzzles and want to see the game with Aneko Yusagi's multimedia series as a theme.

6 / 10.0 - Locomoto
Jun 30, 2025

Locomoto was an extremely interesting experience, and in terms of its mechanics and gameplay loop, it exceeded my expectations. However, the way the game was ported to the Switch is incredibly poorly done — it's hard to believe that this is the most buggy title I've played since I got the console. While it's a good game at its core, the state in which it was released makes it very difficult to recommend. And honestly, it might not even be worth trying to relax, enjoy the scenery and manage your train, if the game is going to keep crashing or freezing, causing all your progress to be lost.

Street Fighter 6 Years 1-2 Fighters Edition is, without a doubt, the best return of the series to Nintendo consoles. It has its problems — like the repetitive World Tour and the poorly presented stories in the Arcade — but the positives outweigh the flaws. The result is a robust, modern and, above all, fun experience. If you were expecting a good fighting game on the Switch 2, you can celebrate: the new Street Fighter is your definitive fighting game.

8 / 10.0 - Battle Train
Jun 26, 2025

Battle Train is a title that oozes charisma and personality. Although its execution is not without flaws in important aspects such as the tutorial and the difficulty curve, it is impossible to deny that this is a unique game, which deserves to be checked out by fans of deckbuilders and turn-based strategies who enjoy out-of-the-box and humorous works. Furthermore, between explosions, cards and accurate jokes, fun is guaranteed: shall we see you at the show?

Hitman World of Assassination - Signature Edition is a great entry point into third-party games on the Switch 2. It's lacking in a few important aspects, but it's a high-quality product that offers everything it had before and more, even with exclusive Mario-themed costumes. An intriguing story, excellent voice acting, a masterful soundtrack, and an absurd amount of gameplay freedom make this one of the best Hitman installments ever.

9 / 10.0 - Cyberpunk 2077
Jun 25, 2025

Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition on the Switch 2 delivers a surprisingly solid adaptation of a complex and technically demanding RPG. The detailed setting, extensive customization system, and engaging narrative are intact, despite the graphical and structural compromises made to run on the new console. The inclusion of the Phantom Liberty expansion further enhances the value of the package, with notable improvements in world-building, narrative choices, and overall pacing. Despite some repetitive content and limitations inherited from the original project, the game offers an immersive experience, particularly for those who enjoy dense stories and freedom of approach. The strong technical performance, versatile controls, and preservation of Night City's visual identity show that the Switch 2 is capable of supporting ambitious titles when proper adaptation efforts are made, resulting in a well-executed and complete version.

Even with small additions and no strong exclusivity reasons, Yakuza 0 remains an amazing game, with sharp gameplay, stunning visuals, an excellent soundtrack, and packed with things to do. But, above all, it tells a powerful story of honor, sacrifice, and duty, shaping young men and creating some of the most iconic personalities in gaming.
