"The desire for [a new] Goemon is easily filled by BAKERU. It doesn't reach all the notes of the inspiring franchise, but it's an excellent pick. Small mistakes that can be easily fixed aren't a huge issue when the whole thing is worth it. It took a while but Bakeru came to the world, drumming and blasting through everything in his way."

Like an experimental recipe that combines different flavors, Magical Delicacy can cause different impressions depending on the player's taste. The good management system and great art direction are positive points, but the lack of guidance to navigate the map and an initially confusing system of combining ingredients may require a few pinches of patience.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime ISEKAI Chronicles has fun combat and is remarkably faithful to the original material, offering an effective introduction to those who don't know the anime. Unfortunately, the game slips up considerably due to the shallowness of its mechanics and the constant repetition, resulting in an experience that doesn't sustain itself during the whole campaign.

The New Denpa Men is simple and fun, with accessible mechanics and a pleasant touch of humor. However, the lack of significant rewards for players that aren't willing to spend with the microtransactions hinders the journey's rhythm and generates considerable frustrations.

Elrentaros Wanderings is an action RPG that can be fun for more dedicated fans of the genre, but it proves to be repetitive and uninteresting overall. It lacks polish and care, and several systems end up being of little use and too simplified for the game to effectively stand out in a market full of high-level options.

Thank Goodness You’re Here! managed to make a typical British humor experience that's also a casual and relaxing game. It isn't only one of the best representations of comedy in videogames but also one of the most interesting games released this year.

Mixing up daily life, folklore and supernatural themes (and some more miserable ones due to the characters backgrounds), Tales from Toyotoki: Arrival of the Witch delivers a narrative that manages to pique our curiosity. Even with some conveniences in the plot, the story as a whole is well developed, and much of it comes from the characters that are part of it. The audiovisual limitations, as well as a lack of polish to the English text localization, may displease some people but, sincerely, those who do not give a chance to this incredible story will be missing out because of an erroneous judgment.

Tomba! Special Edition is a great way to enjoy a classic and experimental game. It's a work of preservation of the original that adds a rich gallery of extras, but it's content to do the bare minimum to preserve it and doesn't care in any way about improving the game itself. For those who were already fans and want to get a taste of nostalgia, it's definitely worth it. Likewise, it's a golden opportunity for those who like retro experiences and have never tried it before. But, overall, it feels like the game deserved a better polish, especially considering how horrible the Portuguese version is and was simply preserved as it was.

One Piece Odyssey is more than just an incredible adaptation of Eiichiro Oda's work; it's a solid and extremely fun RPG. While the title offers a richer experience for fans of the source material, it's still a journey worth exploring for any enthusiast of the genre.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak is yet another great addition to the vast Nintendo Switch RPG catalog, offering an interesting plot, memorable characters, and a very rich combat system when it comes to customization. It's a game worth checking out for any fan of the genre and it made me eager to get to know the other titles in the franchise.

With bad gameplay, null ambiance, forgettable characters and music, [this] is a title that I don't have the slightest idea of how it managed to get release in this state. Despair to get out in the market or disregard for the consumer? Only a ton and a half of updates to make the game more interesting.

eenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate is more like a temporary short solution for those who find themselves "orphaned" by their favorite roguelike, like Dead Cells or Hades, and is a fan of the Ninja Turtles. There's no secret here: you'll pick a character and do a quick complete run many times until you get tired and depart for a bigger challenge or leave the game behind altogether. There aren't many incentives besides controlling Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo in fights against iconic villains, so don't expect anything grand or you will be disappointed.

Natsu-Mon: 20th Century Summer Kid is a deeply charismatic game and an experience that's very much worth the time. For those who love the freedom to explore and want that nostalgic feeling of being a child in the countryside, it's an easy recommendation.

It's not a bad game. It contains an interesting selection of fighters, excellent soundtrack, official arts and solid online. But it's not worth it to throw away your time and patience playing against such an unfair and merciless machine. Maybe it'd be worth the price if it had been released in a collection with better games. Honestly, it's only worth it as preservation and a lesson on how not to develop a fighting game.

SteamWorld Heist II comes close to being a perfect sequel, in my humble opinion. With so many visible qualities, perhaps its only flaw (if I can call it that) is a brief feeling of repetition when completing many successive missions, but the navigation with the submarine and even the variety of enemies and objectives within each stage help to disguise this weak point. So, whether you are a fan of the SteamWorld series or even an enthusiast of strategy games that prioritize skill over luck, do yourself a favor and play SteamWorld Heist II.

Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition is a good compilation, but it has a hollow structure. The speedrun gameplay is intriguing and capable of making players spend a good few minutes getting the best times. However, everything around this premise doesn't make the game stand out. The lack of other types of challenges besides the speed objectives, online modes with rankings and participation limited to weekly only, and the lack of customization in local multiplayer make the exciting tournament atmosphere last very little. This makes us wonder about the value of the title within the Switch's first-party library. Due to its simplicity, the game seems more like a Nintendo Switch Online bonus than a paid release on the Nintendo eShop. Probably, if the game were part of the service, its setbacks would be easier to digest.

Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus impresses with its richly detailed scenarios and an intriguing universe that continually surprises the player throughout the adventure. However, once stripped of its fantastic setting, there is a complicated and difficult-to-ignore lack of polish in crucial mechanics and also in the adaptation for Nintendo's console. Therefore, Bō's journey is still worth experiencing, but with reservations. We hope that the next updates promised by the developers will improve the game on the Switch. After all, as said, what we have here comes close to being memorable — it's a shame that it doesn't happen that often.

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is a clear example of what a team can do when they master [what the] Nintendo Switch hardware [can do]. While we've seen many questionable or disastrous ports through the console's life, Namco's game proves how Switch is versatile and can deliver almost unbelievable results when properly handled.

Despite its good intentions and the welcome reflection it promotes, SCHiM ends up not standing out as a game due to fundamental flaws, such as the problems with the camera and its simple mechanics, which unfortunately prove repetitive in a short time. Still, if you are looking for a cozy journey with a notable artistic atmosphere, it is worth remembering that one of the wonders of art as a human expression is that it is, above all, subjective. With this in mind, this essay on life does not deserve to be completely relegated to the shadows — in fact, the truth is that if there is one thing I have learned from this review, it is that the shadows are more welcoming than they appear.

Despite failing and not delving adequately into some areas, Potion Permit still offers many enjoyable moments and is worth checking out, especially for those who enjoy social simulation elements and would like or are curious to see these aspects introduced in a non-farm title.
