Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian competently delivers much of the essence that fans of the series have come to expect: exploration in search of raw materials, rich and rewarding synthesis, charismatic characters, and a fun and strategic combat system. Although some plot moments drag on unnecessarily and the pace of progression is constantly interrupted by a shallow management system, the overall balance is still quite positive. Overall, the title offers an engaging and fun RPG experience, worth checking out for franchise enthusiasts and those who enjoy the genre.

PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC is a complete package and an enhanced version of an already great title: revamped visuals, new level additions, reimagined bosses, a main hub with more activities, and even a new multiplayer mode. Of course, some drawbacks from the original World 2 still remain, such as the camera, which can be unpredictable, and the short length of the adventure—those who don't want to search for all the collectibles scattered throughout the levels or complete all the missions can finish the game in a few hours. Ultimately, the remake demonstrates the developers' special affection for the adventure and the character, bringing back one of the most acclaimed titles in the Pac-Man World franchise. There's a good balance between the (many) new features and the original content, and now we can't wait for the trilogy to be complete, when Pac-Man World 3 will surely receive the same treatment.

Hades II expands on its formula without losing what made the original so memorable. The new protagonist, magical abilities, weapon variety, and alternative routes make each playthrough different, while combat remains fast, responsive, and addictive. Even with moments of grinding and repetition, the game makes up for it with rich systems, freedom of choice, and progression that keeps us motivated to try again. With a stunning setting, captivating characters, and solid technical performance, the title reaffirms Supergiant's position as one of the most creative studios in the industry. Hades II not only honors the legacy of its predecessor but boldly expands upon it. For fans of the genre and those who enjoyed the first game, the recommendation is clear: this is an essential and unforgettable experience.

The Edge of Allegoria is an interesting homage to the 8-bit RPGs that defined an era and captured the hearts of many fans. However, its satirical tone and adult approach—in theory, its greatest strengths—are questionable, especially when we notice the inconsistent quality of humor and a general blasé attitude that hinders rather than helps the experience. Ultimately, nostalgic players who enjoy odd doses of dark humor may find some enjoyment in this twisted world; for everyone else, the reality is that there are better universes to visit in the name of nostalgia for a time gone by.

Call of the Sea isn't a long game, helping to create a satisfying sense of adventure. Even with a strange variation in puzzle difficulty, it doesn't leave the player bored or frustrated. The island's design and the ingenuity of the mechanics are inviting and rewarding. The soundtrack is subtle, only appearing at a few key points in the story, but it's essential for creating the desired atmosphere and immersing the player in this universe. Its adaptation of the Lovecraftian style into a story of love, investigation, and unexplained situations makes it worth the journey.

In the end, Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree is a recommendation that depends a lot on the player profile. For hardcore fans of roguelikes, it may be a valid experience, despite being imperfect, due to the art and the forging system. For those who are looking for an introduction to the genre or are looking for really polished battles, there are more accessible options with a more satisfactory gameplay.

Illusion of Itehari is a great otome visual novel that comes to Switch with a compelling world and solid, well-developed romantic relationships. Though navigating through some route choices may be a little inconvenient at times due to the lack of clarity on the impact of some choices, the experience as a whole is really worth a shot.

Star Wars Outlaws Gold Edition manages to capture the essence of the Star Wars universe without needing Jedis or light sabers. Exploring the galaxy, moving through iconic planets, negotiating with syndicates and experiencing every detail of the Outer Rim made me feel like I was truly part of this epic world. The art direction, soundtrack and immersion are really good, but bugs, crashes and repetitive missions hinder it at times.

Cronos: The New Dawn is one of the best titles in the first wave of Switch 2 third-party games. With an interesting story, haunting immersion and mysteries to solve, it's an excellent entry point for the horror genre on the new Nintendo console.

Henry Halfhead is a quaint and short adventure: controlling the objects is very fun and witnessing Henry's life is, at the very least, curious and compelling. The final sequence is very beautiful, making the message of valuing small moments stronger. I just felt like it was lacking in more areas, more objects with various functions and a slightly more extensive journey. Despite the small issues, it's worth experiencing the title and slowing down a bit – before the crazy routine becomes too much for one's (half a) head.

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance manages to recapture the franchise's signature style while applying modern, fluid gameplay that highlights Musashi as an unstoppable warrior. The story is a classic revenge arc that serves its purpose by imbuing the confrontations with a sense of urgency and violence. The pace of the fights, both against regular enemies and bosses, is addictive and keeps you playing without even noticing the time passing. It's an essential experience for Shinobi fans, as it honors the series' legacy and once again opens the door for Joe Musashi to stand out among SEGA's greatest modern franchises for a new audience.

Hollow Knight: Silksong improves on virtually every aspect of its predecessor and adds several new features that make the game a unique experience. The result is simple: this is one of the best titles released so far in 2025. Hornet's journey is highly addictive and shows us that, despite being long and full of anxiety, the wait for Silksong was worth it.

Bad Cheese is nothing more than a game that simply exists, mediocre and uninteresting, making the experience less memorable than a good retro horror like Alisa or Fear the Spotlight, but simply boring and uncreative, not even worthy of pity. Mickey's first real cartoon was Plane Crazy, a cartoon not as well-remembered as Steamboat Willie, and I assume that will be the fate of Bad Cheese: forgotten in its own empty sarcasm.

Everybody's Golf Hot Shots brings Sony's classic golf series to more platforms, but the excessive content barriers and performance hiccups on the Switch make the game less engaging than it should be. It's still fun, especially for those looking for a complex golf simulator, but it's not an easy game to recommend to anyone unfamiliar with the franchise and the sport.

In a virtually infinite sea of indie RPGs, The Nameless: Slay Dragon manages to stand out by respecting its many influences and delivering a cohesive, polished and especially fun adventure, which proves to have done the right choice in focusing on the narrative and giving players freedom. Pretty much flawless from a technical standpoint, the Switch version is a great way to follow the steps of the legendary Dragon Slayer and bring peace to mankind once and for all.

Even with a few technical issues, Roadwarden preserves its best qualities on the Switch version, proving itself to be an essential RPG for those who love compelling narratives and adventures with free choices. In the end, the mission to be a roadwarden isn't easy, but it definitely has the potential to be memorable whenever we accept it.

Shuten Order isn't perfect, but it's bold and intriguing. A recommended title for visual novel fans looking for complex stories and authentic representations more than challenging gameplay or impeccable technical polish. An uneven jewel, but no doubt a jewel.

Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution delivers a fine recovery of the franchise's legendary lost masterpiece. While it's not the best game in the series, and its age often works against it more than for it (see the lack of a map), it's undoubtedly positive that fans can finally play the title they were promised back in the early 2000s. Furthermore, while we don't see a new chapter in the journey of gaming's most beloved half-genie, revisiting the past proves that, in this case, it was worth the wait—here's to the next adventures.
