Star Wars: Galactic Racer is an almost unique title in the gaming landscape thanks to its mix of roguelite and racing, and for this alone it deserves a try. Whether you are Star Wars fans or lovers of speed and adrenaline, it has everything it takes to keep you glued to the screen for hours. If you can't stand roguelites and their punishing structure, though, it won't change your mind and may often lead to frustration.

Gears of War: E-Day delivers arguably the series’ strongest campaign, combining mature, restrained storytelling with the return of Marcus Fenix’s charismatic presence. Already among the franchise’s finest entries, it could become a serious Game of the Year contender if its content-rich multiplayer matches the campaign’s quality. Regardless, Xbox players should not miss this outstanding return to form.

Minecraft Dungeons II expands its predecessor’s formula in every direction, offering a vast world, deeper loot and customization, new movement options, and more flexible co-op. The chance to explore Minecraft’s new Sift dimension further enriches the experience. Despite a few minor issues, it remains an accessible and enjoyable action RPG, ideal for newcomers and for sharing with friends and family.

Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve is a worthy heir to one of the longest-running sagas in video game history and fully embodies what Ace Combat has always been: its gameplay remains impeccable, fast-paced and visually rewarding. Some components, however, now need the courage to change their form without losing their substance. A must for fans and pleasantly vintage for veterans, it still shows its age to newer generations.

The Alighieri Circle: Dante’s Bloodline is a fascinating tribute to the Italian poet, offering an original take on the descent into Hell through striking art direction, well-designed puzzles, and excellent Italian voice acting. Unfortunately, an unengaging story, excessive downtime, and beautiful yet sterile environments hold it back. Still, it’s an intriguing Italian production for walking simulator and puzzle fans.

CONTROL Resonant sees Remedy confidently master the action genre, drawing inspiration from Japanese action classics to deliver challenging, satisfying, varied, and deep gameplay. Its fascinating universe, rich lore, and distinctive visuals further elevate the experience, despite some cutscene animation drawbacks. Essential for fans of the original Control and highly recommended for anyone seeking fast-paced action in the vein of Devil May Cry.

Madden NFL 27 isn't a revolution for the series, and it still carries imperfect collisions, old animations, some balancing issues, and modes that would need the same courage devoted to Franchise. This year, however, the NFL surrounding our games feels more believable; the football is physical and tactically rewarding, and the presentation on XBOX Series X reaches spectacular moments. But, above all, Franchise finally makes us want to play another season.

NHL 27 doesn't reinvent EA Sports' hockey, but it addresses some of the series' most evident problems: teams that felt too similar, poorly differentiated atmospheres and the lack of a real online league among friends. A familiar technical structure, clumsy menus and an imperfect AI remain, but for anyone interested in online leagues, arena atmospheres and a more tactical portrayal of the teams, this is one of the most interesting editions in years.

Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters is a game of ups and downs, but there is no denying the developers have poured their passion for the original work into it. The World Youth arc is reproduced quite faithfully, while the renewed gameplay puts more emphasis on individual plays and makes defenders and goalkeepers far more active. Fans of Yoichi Takahashi's work shouldn't let it slip by.

NBA 2K27 is a game that gets better the more you play it: Visual Concepts didn't aim for a revolution, but for refinement, and the gameplay now feels more mature, more coherent, and closer to real basketball, while MyCAREER Eras is one of the most interesting ideas seen in the series in years. Its microtransaction systems remain intrusive, but when it simply goes back to being a basketball game, it is still outstanding.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is a high-quality action RPG, built around a unique combat system, a very convincing "dual" gameplay, and an open narrative structure that stays rich and coherent even while leaving almost every choice in our hands. The time limit and the tangible weight of every decision make the whole experience deeper, within a beautifully detailed world; it's just a pity that the technical side and some production limits are not always up to par.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword is an excellent action game and a worthy rebirth for the series after decades of absence. Its combat system is deep and, above all, rewarding, even if it takes some patience to master, while the fights have a strong, realistic feel and the story has a cinematic impact. Too bad for the repetitiveness of the final hours and the sometimes excessive difficulty, but it's a title worth trying if you are looking for a stimulating action game.

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is an ambitious prequel of Asobo's series, distinguished by its beautiful world and mature narrative. Its mix of combat, stealth, puzzles, and platforming offers good variety, though none of these elements reaches true excellence. Despite some occasional gameplay shortcomings, it remains an intense and compelling third-person action-adventure, definitely recommended for fans of the series.

The Sinking City 2 is one of those games that stay with you after you turn off the console: Arkham is a wonderful place to explore, the atmosphere works from start to finish, and the Lovecraftian side supports a story that grows over time. The clumsy combat system, the inventory management, and the constant backtracking hold it back, but Frogwares' change of formula pays off.

Halo: Campaign Evolved achieves what every remake should: preserving the original’s magic while modernizing its presentation and refining dated mechanics. A package enriched by new skulls, modifiers, and co-op options that encourage repeated playthroughs. It reaffirms the first Halo as a timeless masterpiece, equally essential for longtime fans and newcomers.

Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced successfully revitalizes a classic without losing its original spirit. Gorgeous visual upgrades and meaningful gameplay refinements make Edward Kenway’s Caribbean adventure feel fresh again, even if dated character animations remain. Whether revisiting the game or experiencing it for the first time, this is the definitive way to enjoy one of the series’ finest adventures.

Copa City is our biggest disappointment of 2026 so far. While the idea of managing the logistical and urban side of a football event is fresh and fascinating, the execution is disastrous. Clunky controls, a confusing interface, severe technical issues, and a lack of content completely ruin the experience. It's a huge missed opportunity, made even worse by a too-high price tag.

Gothic Remake is primarily designed for fans of the original masterpiece, retaining its ruthless, uncompromising philosophy. While quality-of-life updates make it slightly more accessible, the brutal difficulty remains a steep wall for newcomers. It’s a punishing experience that delivers rare satisfaction. Despite a lack of innovation, it’s an excellent starting point for the franchise's rebirth.

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales is a classic, accessible, and highly enjoyable action RPG that pleases players with its pacing rather than with revolutionary mechanics. Despite some repetitive elements across its eras and some forgettable characters, its relaxed loop, outstanding art direction, and evocative soundtrack make for a solid and engaging, nostalgia-filled 16-bit era adventure.
