With creative and fun puzzles, Figment 2: Creed Valley is one of the most charming games I played recently despite its shallow combat. The musical rhythm, colorful and lively sceneries and the voice acting, especially for the protagonists, make it one of the most captivating titles I ever touched. It's an easy recommendation for people looking for a light and challenging game to pass the time.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure maintains the high quality of the series and presents a satisfying (but temporary) ending to the Crossbell arc, offering significant upgrades on PC and Switch compared to the original PSP version. The expectation now is to see how the tenth game in the series, Trails into Reverie, will make the most of the elements of this story and the Erebonia arc to offer a more conclusive resolution [to the current story] and kickstart the next adventures in the Zemuria continent.

Despite its flaws, Octopath Traveler II is a unique experience that modernizes and flexes the concepts of JRPGs of yore. The game combines several good ideas into one remarkable adventure, despite taking little risks.

PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo is one of the most interesting games of its genre, standing out especially for its clever use of camera framing and for playing with the player's perception through multiple perspectives and metalinguistic elements. This title is an easy recommendation for any player interested in narrative works and shows how many ingenious ways to rethink the concept of adventure and, more specifically, visual novels.

Caverns of Mars: Recharged is exactly in the middle between bringing new things and leaning on material from the original game. Repetition is still a constant in titles from the Recharged series and it's no different here, but still, Caverns of Mars manages to entertain in an addictive way for a good few hours, just because it's simple and objective.

If you're thinking about giving IDEA a try, I recommend going with an open mind to play it according to its proposal. I believe that an involved community from the start will be essential to make the game really unique and something to remember for a long time. Despite a few small issues, this is a recommended relaxing game to pass time.

Planet Edge: Cube is precise and inventive, a masterclass in level design done right in 2D platform. It's also challenging, perhaps too much for an audience that isn't interested in the satisfaction of overcoming obstacles after a successive kill count. The retro pixel art look with minimalist colors is very charming, has good animations and avoids distractions during the action. My hands hurt during the most demanding stretches and I found several bugs, all of them subject to correction, but none of that prevented me from finishing the journey with great pleasure.

Analyzing the whole work, Redemption Reapers is too simple to stand out in the current scenario of strategic RPGs. Nevertheless, gamers who are fans of the genre who aren't afraid of imperfect experiences will likely find it enjoyable. It will only suffice for expectations to be dosed.

Deck 'Em! It's a great choice for anyone looking for something extremely simple and uncompromising to play and occupy small gaps of time in their day-to-day life. The PC version arrives as an interesting option for this purpose, but it does not surpass the practicality of the mobile version due to its simplicity and super casual proposal.

Surprising in every way, from its launch model to the unexpected theme for a Tango Networks game, Hi-Fi RUSH is a very successful mix of rhythm game, hack and slash and platform. Creative, pulsating and very fun, it involves the player for its delightful gameplay and the very well-made setting. The impeccable polish can be seen in the graphics, performance, gameplay and soundtrack, not to mention the excellent Portuguese dubbing, one of the best I've ever heard. It is an excellent game and highly recommended for lovers of action and rhythm games.

Despite its small issues, Atomic Heart is the first product of a small studio that still manages to be a positive highlight among big titles already available in 2023. With updates improving navigation and gameplay, I believe Mundfish can make the player experience much better as the year goes on.

Taking an objective look at what the franchise has already achieved with its most recent titles, selling Like a Dragon: Ishin! as a remake may have been a wrong strategic decision, since several of its systems were not revitalized to the point of living up to the nomenclature, remaining archaic under a modern look. In addition, the slower and more bucolic tone of both the atmosphere and the narrative makes us understand why the original Ishin was ignored for a Western release. With that in mind, it becomes a little difficult to recommend it for newcomers to the franchise, but for those who are already familiar with all of the series' recurring flaws, it's a solid enough experience.

Ninja JaJaMaru: The Great Yokai Battle + Hell - Deluxe Edition is a great way to celebrate an Eastern classic at the same time that it presents it to the Western public.

Overall, Wild Hearts delivers on its promise of being a viable alternative within a virtually monopolized genre, but its serious technical problems, especially on PC, cannot be ignored. It is expected that the developer will give the necessary attention to the title; only with urgent care will this beast roar as expected.

Rytmos is an engaging and curious musical experience. The puzzles, which require manipulating lines to create paths passing through speakers, are interesting and full of creative elements. The setting, which explores unusual musical genres, enchants with the use of vibrant colors, a soundtrack with several layers and historical explanations about each sound style. The problem is that everything is too simple, leaving the feeling that the game could go further in its proposal. Overall, it's great to delve into Rytmos' brief and elaborate musical universe.

The duo's adventure in Clive 'N' Wrench should please both the generation that loved the golden age of 3D platform games and their children who enjoy a good mascot game.

Pharaoh: A New Era is a great adaptation of a management game classic by today's standards. The player's quality of life when experiencing more than 4000 years of history in one of the greatest civilizations of humanity is the main feature of this competent remake thanks to improvements in gameplay, graphics and especially the soundtrack. The gods are pleased with the return of this work.

Grim Guardians: Demon Purge mixes classic elements with modern concepts in a great adventure. The idea of alternating between the two heroines with distinct skills is explored in the stages with a good variety of situations and the balance of linear areas and exploration bits is well-dosed. Some decisions are annoying, such as being unable to access the map freely but the charismatic atmosphere and good audiovisual elements compensate the issues. In the end, those who like good platforming adventures will appreciate Grim Guardians.

A remake of a never-released prototype might seem overly ambitious, but Akka Arrh certainly lives up to the mystery of its source. It may even be too simplistic for today's players, used to more elements and options, but here's a game that deserves to be known, especially by fans of Atari's legacy.
