Tactics Ogre Reborn brings back a classic strategic RPG in style. It is an essential game for any player, although some specific choices of the new edition make it difficult for newcomers to enter the genre. Even so, Tactics Ogre continues to show not only the competence of its creators, but the great possibility of games in general as art and reflection.

When analyzed by its body of work, Sackboy: A Big Adventure is one of the best 3D platform games ever created. Although the children's audience is its main target, here is a recommended adventure for all those who have not let their inner child slip away in time. With its visuals and features superior to those offered by consoles, the PC adaptation is welcome and cause for celebration, because more people will have contact with Sackboy - and that will never be a bad thing.

Star Ocean: The Divine Force is an excellent addition to the franchise, giving its gameplay a new lease of life. Despite its problems, the plot manages to maintain a consistently serious tone throughout the main events, and the relationships between the characters are well established. Here's hoping that future games can expand on what went well in this one, and explore elements of the Star Ocean universe even further.

Little to the Left turns arranging and organizing objects into a nice puzzle. It might not seem like it, but it's fun and relaxing to line up pictures, methodically store items in boxes, and clean tables, mostly because of the simple mechanics and intuitive puzzles. Soft colors and a light soundtrack complement the atmosphere of tranquility. The game aims to be calm and contemplative, but certain points go against this philosophy. Some puzzles have obscure solutions, the more abstract stages are unnecessarily complicated, and some ideas are reused frequently, disrupting the otherwise relaxing experience. Otherwise, A Little to the Left is exactly like tidying up: sometimes rewarding, sometimes irritating.

Against the Storm features a simple yet well-executed city building system. The gameplay is accessible and the quick matches make the development of the adventure dynamic and fun. Even with the limited variety of missions and scenario events, future updates promise to add a lot of content for players and make it a standout among its genre.

Victoria 3 is rich, vast and above all captivating. While its shallow combat system is at odds with the rest of the work, shaping entire nations is fun enough to entertain for quite a while. Whether you're a grand strategy game veteran or newcomer, know that Paradox's newest feat doesn't disappoint in its core mission of granting the player the freedom to rewrite a sizable portion of world history as they see fit.

I admit my general impression of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is mixed. On the one hand, the campaign is only average and various elements demand polishing, but on the other hand, we have an excellent gameplay and beautiful production. Personally, I see the balance pending to the positive side, especially with the upcoming Warzone 2.0 and the promise of longer [multiplayer support] life time.

Sophstar respects the time-honored shoot 'em up formula while adding a lot of personality and interesting features, such as the variety of ships with unique attributes and teleportation. For those who want an adventure to get to know the genre better, this title is a great choice and will definitely sharpen your skills.

God of War Ragnarök manages to be exquisite in everything it set out to do. Santa Monica Studio gives a real lesson in how a sequel should be made, exceeding all expectations in terms of graphics, performance, gameplay and storytelling in the best action adventure game of recent times. If the God of War franchise ever had a heyday, it has been surpassed.

ALPHA-NIGHTHAWK is a visual novel with a very unique ambientation, mixing sci-fi elements with a context that justifies artificial humanoid foxes. For people who like stories with those elements, it's a really engaging title, though it doesn't conclude the plot's main conflict. Here's hoping its sequel, BETA-SIXDOUZE, which is already available in Japan, also comes west and that it may offer an even more thrilling conclusion.

Persona 5 Royal is the biggest creative leap in the series since at least Persona 3, particularly in gameplay. In addition, it has a plot that is both light and interesting, plenty of content, an exemplary interface design and a coherent audiovisual with a strong personality. The title is recommended to anyone who enjoys both JRPG and social simulation and has more than 100 hours to dedicate to it.

To be completely honest, Triangle Strategy is one of the best games I've played this year. With a thought-provoking narrative that shapes itself according to the player's choices, challenging and engaging battles, and plenty of content to explore throughout its campaign, Team Asano's latest oeuvre is a gift for every tactical RPG fan. The arrival of the PC version, months later after its original release on Switch, only solidifies that conclusion.

My personal experience with Ghost Song was something greater than the sum of the parts and the numerical balance. It's a great metroidvania in the exploration, in the atmosphere and in the surprise of the human warmth behind each encounter, making it a poetic and memorable title within one of my favorite genres. I will certainly play it again in the future.

The Winters Expansion has brought an interesting content addition to Resident Evil Village. The story expansion is modest, with few really interesting new features due to the attempt to make Rose replicate her father's journey in the same scenarios as the main game. The third-person mode gives a new approach to the gameplay, but for creative decisions it chooses to keep the first-person perspective in the story segments. The Mercenaries: Additional Orders mode was the winner with content that yields good hours of gameplay.

The Pinball Wizard tries to offer a unique interpretation of the classic arcade, but fails with its limited and problematic execution. Moving the mage with the help of flippers is intuitive, however the stages are uninteresting, the variety of content is very limited and the difficulty is unbalanced. In the end, this mix of pinball and dungeon crawler didn't stick and is completely forgettable.

A Plague Tale: Requiem is an excellent continuation of one of the most remarkable stories in gaming today. With exquisite direction, narrative and gameplay make a virtually perfect marriage of one of the best single player experiences of 2022.

Vampire Survivors use a few simple concepts to create an addictive experience. Facing hordes of enemies controlling a character that attacks alone can seem tedious, but the fun is precisely in trying to assemble a set of interesting skills to survive. An extensive variety of content makes runs exciting and fun. The focus on uncomplicated systems makes the title accessible, but this is also the biggest problem: the action is sometimes boring and repetitive. However, the constant introduction of novelties and some subtle variations of the formula are enough to make the adventure constantly mesmerizing. In the end, Vampire Survivors is exceptional. Don't be fooled by the minimalist look and mechanics, this title is hard to put down.

Scorn is a gift for fans of the biopunk subgenre and a surprise for those who have never had contact with works of the kind. It offers a contemplative experience of the universe presented there, which is as significant as its name.

Yomawari: Lost in the Dark manages to show that cute graphics aren't a hindrance for a high quality horror game. With an excellent direction, especially in the sound department, the title does a prime job at keeping the player immersed in the context of its fragile protagonist facing the night creatures.

PGA Tour 2K23 offers a good gameplay experience but suffers from a negative factor generated by its sports games siblings, [which are] more attractive and originally more enticing. Its content can be considered shallow, despite the interesting field creation mode. It's a title recommended only for fans of the sport.
