Wizard with a Gun manages to make a good combination of different genres and offer a pleasant experience. Although it could be richer in content and explore the possibilities of combat in more depth, the final balance of the game is positive, making it an easy recommendation for those who are curious about this mix.

9 / 10.0 - Twofold
Nov 23, 2023

Twofold is a deeply humane and touching visual novel about the pleasures and pains of interpersonal relationships during our brief passage through life. It's a beautiful way to remember the subtle beauty of what's essential to us and invisible to the eyes.

Yohane the Parhelion -BLAZE in the DEEPBLUE- leaves something to be desired, resulting in an experience that seems to have been hastily produced without the necessary care to make it truly captivating.

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is not a perfect product and cannot remotely be recommended as a gateway, especially since the other games in the main series do a more competent job of offering a robust experience. However, it does a good job of encapsulating the characteristics of the franchise and offering old school fans a last dose of the Dragon of Dojima, now in his twilight as a protagonist.

8 / 10.0 - The Last Faith
Nov 21, 2023

The Last Faith is a very competent game that manages to deliver a challenging but equally accessible soulslike experience. The absence of a movement limiter [like stamina] makes the experience a more dynamic and fun affair, especially for those who aren't so familiar with this kind of control. However, for those looking for a metroidvania experience, it has some issues, as the map exploration feels bad due to the protagonist's movement parameters. Even with this issue, it's definitely recommended for those looking for an entrypoint into the souls genre or those who are already experienced in it

7 / 10.0 - Worldless
Nov 20, 2023

Worldless is visually stunning and enchanted me in its first few hours, but the sudden increase in complexity in the final third and the requirement for precise timing to advance in the main battles took away my desire to continue. When I consider the imprecise map, the lack of fast travel and the slow and empty crossings when revisiting certain sections, I think I can only recommend it to the patient or the skilled, as, unfortunately, frustration has several times taken me out of the spell in which the beautiful atmosphere enveloped me time after time.

8.5 / 10.0 - Forza Motorsport
Nov 19, 2023

Forza Motorsport continues to be a reference in racing simulators for consoles and is the most beautiful entry in the series, in addition to being the one that presents the most realistic and refined gameplay among all Forza games and deserves praise for its wide accessibility options.

Tales of Arise - Beyond the Dawn fulfills its mission as an expansion, bringing new missions, challenging opponents and more of what made the base game one of the best and most fun JRPGs released in recent years. Without fear of touching on delicate themes such as prejudice and family abandonment, or showing that not every ending is as happy as it seems, this DLC is a great opportunity for both veterans and newcomers to visit this universe and enjoy its good visuals, great combat system and fun progression.

6 / 10.0 - Spells & Secrets
Nov 17, 2023

Despite having some qualities, Spell & Secrets suffers from the problem of repetitiveness common in roguelike games and does not present many alternatives to overcome it. Its story is uninteresting, making it seem like a generic copy of Harry Potter, and its challenges are not very diverse, making it quickly dull and predictable. However, the spell options manage to ensure a bit of quality to the gameplay, allowing different approaches to combat, as well as multiplayer, which makes it more dynamic and fun. In this case, I believe that Spells & Secrets can be recommended if you have a friend to play with you.

The Smurfs 2: The Prisoner of the Green Stone continues the excellent job of the previous game, with a creative narrative, new skills and an excellent alternation between the fun adventure and harder challenges. The perfect combination for those who love the blue creatures and 3D platformers.

7.5 / 10.0 - Loddlenaut
Nov 16, 2023

Loddlenaut invites us to remove pollution from an oceanic planet in a relaxing experience. Simple mechanics make underwater cleaning enjoyable and meditative, and it's rewarding to see nature reappearing due to our efforts. A captivating atmosphere with colorful visuals, a soft soundtrack and lots of pet fish make the adventure even more enchanting. For those looking for a few hours of uncomplicated relaxation, Loddlenaut and its ocean cleansing are a great option.

7.5 / 10.0 - Berzerk: Recharged
Nov 16, 2023

When I reviewed Quantum: Recharged, I highlighted how much these revamped titles needed to reinvent their presentation. Berzerk: Recharged was a great response, in many ways. We still have some problems that become increasingly evident with the exhaustive replication of the same template for the entire series, but just for bringing a different proposal, this game deserves to be highlighted.

As the first release of the series in Portuguese, The Jackbox Party Pack 10 offers a very good and diverse experience. The dubbing and the addition of Brazilian cultural elements are well-placed resources that help make the experience feel as natural as a good party game should be. Brazil is expected to receive invitations to have fun in the coming years as well.

8.5 / 10.0 - Astral Ascent
Nov 14, 2023

Astral Ascent offers an immersive and dynamic roguelite experience. The 2D action excites us with the diversity of characters with unique fighting styles and the robust spell system, which provide frantic and strategic matches. Furthermore, there is a lot of content to explore, with modifiers to make runs more complex. Despite having elaborate action, the game has some limitations. The variety of rooms and events during matches is reduced, making it a notable weakness that can result in repetition. At least there's a captivating world to explore with beautiful pixel art visuals and charismatic characters, whose personality is reinforced by the voice acting. In the end, Astral Ascent is a solid, agile and engaging action roguelite. It lacked a little boldness, but the end result is great.

The new adventures of Joker and company in Persona 5 Tactica manage to mix turn-based RPG with strategy in a very competent way. Exuding style and an engaging story, especially thanks to its charismatic characters, each new mission and its developments are unmissable. In particular, I liked the great freedom in solving missions and their challenges. Although the title is not on the same level as the original game, its quality is undeniable and it certainly has a lot of fun and challenge to offer. Another mandatory release for fans of the series and a good choice for anyone who wants to start getting to know this unique universe.

7.5 / 10.0 - Thirsty Suitors
Nov 13, 2023

Thirsty Suitors oozes charm with its creative mix of narrative RPG, skateboarding and cooking. It's engaging to follow Jala on his journey of redemption and self-discovery because of the humorous dialogue, the unusual characters and the many interesting themes covered by the story. Furthermore, its universe brims with style with its extravagant combats, exaggerated movements and colorful atmosphere inspired by Indian culture. The attempt to bring a little of everything is commendable, but, unfortunately, the game doesn't do the job. The combat is basic and lacking strategy, the cooking bits are repetitive and skateboarding is clumsy. Luckily, the narrative manages to tie everything together consistently, however, individually, the various aspects leave something to be desired. All in all, Thirsty Suitors is a unique and surreal experience with its extravagant combination of genres. Despite its problems, it's a narrative adventure worth experiencing.

7 / 10.0 - EA Sports FC 24
Nov 12, 2023

Like that team that ends up tied after wasting a penalty in the last minute, EA Sports FC 24 ended up basically staying the same as in recent years. In reality, the balance is slightly negative: if on the one hand the football matches still have a good dose of fun and we have a good variety of game modes, on the other the visuals remain dated, the online gameplay is bad and the dependence on purchases is increasing.

An undeniable merit of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 is the opportunity to enjoy these classics on modern platforms, making it a valid collection. However, the absence of graphic customizations on PC along with the absence of the enhancements of Snake Eater's 3DS port and the omission of titles such as the MGS1 remake for GameCube and the excellent Game Boy Color title Ghost Babel, make it an incomplete package.
