At only thirty-minutes of gameplay, Spilled! was honestly a nice cosy game to wind-down with. There is no doubt this game is visually high quality. The calming music and soft, dare I say ASMR sound effects made the entire game really enjoyable. I do however have two small quality of life suggestions. The first being to improve the scoopers so that they hold bottles a little better. The second would be to add a cute little horn for the boat. Honestly, even without these I would have given this game our highest award but it felt just that little bit too short. I wish it had a little more play-time! For just being a charming and fun little game Spilled! gets the Thumb Culture Gold Award

If you like relaxing games with a powerful message, Spilled! is for you. It might make you think differently about the world around you. It's short and only lasts a little over an hour, but its playable loop is well constructed and I had a good time with it.

Whether incidental or intentional, Spilled! is contemplative and reflective of the current state of our planet, and the help it needs. It feels good to be cleaning up these waters, and it is empowering to know that you can start small to have an influence. There’s satisfying visual feedback to show you are having an impact on this world, where Spilled! is absolutely sublime in design and execution.

Overall, I believe Spilled a cozy oil spill clean up game, is one to have in your backpocket. For a relaxing and peaceful place to unwind. Your own little boat on the water.

I played the demo of Spilled! about a year ago for an Impressions article here on LadiesGamers. I liked it so much that it went immediately to the top of my wishlist. Thankfully, the full version of the game is even better than the demo, and I will return many more times to Spilled! and its cheerful red boat.
