Silent Hill 2 is a successful remake of a classic game, and unless I’m shamefully overlooking something, it’s actually the only AAA title in recent years to embrace a more psychological approach to survival horror. The developers at Bloober Team have succeeded in modernizing—both technologically and in terms of design—the high-quality foundation left behind by the creators of the original, which is more than 20 years old. However, I consider the (melee) combat to be the most controversial element; there’s more of it in the new version, it’s often impossible to avoid, and at times it can really get under your skin.

Age of Mythology: Retold will probably be my Game of the Year. I won’t lie—I don’t think any other title will be able to top it, even though it’s essentially a “recycled work.” Creating a remaster isn’t easy, because you have to strike that delicate balance that everyone has played, heard, and come to love. You have to honor and respect the original work; otherwise, there’s probably no way to build on its legacy. But if you think I’m choosing this game just out of nostalgia, you’d be wrong. This game is incredible from every angle, and while I’ll admit that the voice acting bothers me—simply because I love the original—and the customizable automation schemes are just a pain, I don’t regret a single point I’ve awarded the game in my overall rating. And as I said, that’s exactly what I did.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 offers flawless audiovisual presentation, a completely smooth 60 frames per second, and a dark, mature storyline that builds gradually throughout the entire campaign. Freedom to move throughout New York and its outskirts, two playable characters, a ton of upgrades, combat combos, and amazing boss battles. In my opinion, this is one of the best games ever released and one of the top titles on the PS5. You won’t find anything better.

SWORD ART ONLINE: Fractured Daydream probably won’t be a contender for Game of the Year, but it’s still a great game. It features an engaging story, thrilling battles, beloved characters, fantastic audio, and beautiful graphics. Unfortunately, it also has a ton of microtransactions; the multiplayer isn’t quite polished in my opinion; and the game really pushes you to buy it. It’s not exactly bad when you see how smoothly the game flows, but, as they say, something is missing, and that’s a real shame. Still, whether you’re a fan of the series or looking for a new action RPG, Fractured Daydream is definitely worth checking out.

Sonic X Shadow Generations is a labor of love that combines nostalgia with fresh gameplay elements. The remaster brings back beloved adventures with improved graphics, while Shadow’s story shines thanks to new abilities and excellent level design. With this game, Sega proves that the franchise still has plenty to offer even after all these years, and if it continues in this vein, we can look forward to high-quality gaming experiences in the future.

BROK the InvestiGator is a fantastic animated detective adventure game that masterfully combines point-and-click and beat ’em up elements. The game also successfully sets its deep story in a dystopian world, featuring well-written characters. The game offers over ten different endings that aren’t just about good versus evil; each one reflects the consequences of your actions throughout the entire gameplay. Plus, it’s entirely up to you whether you play through the entire game without resorting to violence or use your fists to get information. The graphics, reminiscent of animated works from the late ’90s, along with the smooth controls, are also a highlight. The only thing that slightly detracts from the game is the dialogue, which can sometimes feel a bit stilted.

Cossacks 3 is definitely not for everyone, and it certainly doesn't fit the modern concept of RTS and strategy games. However, if you're looking for laid-back gameplay, massive battles involving thousands of units, or if you're a die-hard fan, you'll enjoy the game and be willing to overlook some of its shortcomings.

Until Dawn is a must-play for all fans of B-movie slasher horror who don’t mind high production values. The game is brimming with constant tension and fear that won’t let you stop playing until you uncover the mystery of the morning. I was more than happy to overlook some technical shortcomings that could still use some polishing. The urge to play it again is strong, and that’s exactly how it should be. But definitely not in broad daylight—you won’t see a thing then. If you’re not familiar with the original version and you love horror games, Until Dawn is the clear choice.

DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO is an enjoyable arena fighter that pays homage to the legendary manga and, by extension, the game series. The dynamic battles, presented in a well-designed visual style, are engaging and, above all, entertaining. Playing with a keyboard, however, is a nightmare, so I recommend using a controller.

Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown is a game whose ambitions apparently exceeded the developers’ capabilities. Anyone hoping for an alternative to the blockbuster Forza Horizon is bound to be bitterly disappointed. The racing itself is actually fun, despite numerous issues and some strange design choices. How we’ll look back on Solar Crown in the future will likely depend on how much care the developers continue to devote to it. If they tone down the grinding and fix the AI, we’ll end up with a decent racing game. I’ll definitely be more inclined to recommend the game if an offline mode is introduced as soon as possible. Otherwise, the sword of Damocles—in the form of the server shutdown button—will constantly hang over it.

TIEBREAK: Official Game of the ATP and WTA is one of those titles that perhaps should have remained in early access for a while longer so that all its flaws could be ironed out. Issues with movement and gameplay, responsiveness, and a career mode that doesn’t allow you to develop your player or improve and boost their attributes—none of this is particularly exciting. On top of that, this is a PC game that doesn’t support a mouse or keyboard at all. I can only wholeheartedly recommend this title to true enthusiasts or players who are willing to wait until the developers get it together, as they’ve promised.

Iratus: Lord of the Dead is a traditional yet well-crafted turn-based dungeon crawler RPG. With its setting, diverse range of monsters and units, and skill system, it’s a well-made game that will keep you entertained. However, after playing for a while, the gameplay can start to feel repetitive—a feeling exacerbated by the fact that once you understand the game, you’ll be able to clear all levels using combinations of 3–5 minions.

Quilts and Cats of Calico is a fantastic digital puzzle version of the board game Pelíšek, full of brain teasers that will really put your mind to the test. It’s a beautiful and satisfying game that won’t get on your nerves, thanks to its pleasant background music. It’s the perfect choice for cat lovers and board game enthusiasts. Personally, I prefer this PC version to the board game because it offers new logic puzzles in Story Mode and the Master Quilter’s Challenges. Plus, you don’t have to deal with the time-consuming setup and cleanup of game components.

Zero Sievert is an excellent game that will draw you in and get your heart racing with excitement and adrenaline. The setting in post-apocalyptic Eastern Europe following a nuclear power plant explosion is put to good use, and the pixel art style gives this top-down RPG shooter a unique flair. It’s truly an impressive title that will keep you hooked. With a wide variety of real-world weapons that you can customize, plus a vast array of resources, materials, and gear, you’re guaranteed never to get bored. Enemies won’t give you anything for free, and every time you survive a hunting trip, it’s an achievement in itself. Zero Sievert definitely has great potential, and if you enjoy this style, love the atmosphere of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, and appreciate the gritty mechanics of Escape from Tarkov in a 2D pixel art style, this game will undoubtedly become a major time sink for you.

Mortal Kombat 1 is currently probably the most appealing fighting game for a broad audience, and it captivates players with its graphic design, interesting characters, superb combat mechanics, and dynamic cutscenes. Khaos Reigns expands on the enjoyment of the single-player experience, though in a slightly less engaging way than the base game. It also remains to be seen whether the amount of new content justifies the somewhat above-average price.

Satisfactory is definitely a great game that will entertain any fan of the genre. If you enjoy resource management, building automated factories, and exploring the world, you’ll be absolutely thrilled. The game’s sophistication and the logical interdependence of certain machines on raw materials, energy, and various devices are fantastic. Likewise, the emphasis on efficiency and the need to carefully plan logistics routes is something that can keep you entertained for a very long time.

Pool Cleaning Simulator is a simple—and, in my opinion, not very well-made—pool cleaner simulator, with plenty of bugs, repetitive gameplay, and a cheap-looking presentation. The simple graphics, sound design, and game crashes only confirm this. Optimization isn’t great either, and the higher system requirements are quite laughable for this type of game. In my opinion, the price should be significantly lowered and the developers’ work should be improved, since we’re reviewing a title in early access here. I’ll be rooting for them, and for now, I recommend Pool Cleaning Simulator only to achievement hunters.
