Samurai Warriors 4 DX was a phenomenal experience for me, combining historical accuracy with thrilling gameplay and a wealth of content to boot. Whether you’re a seasoned samurai veteran or a complete newcomer to the world of musou action, this title is definitely not to be missed. The game offers a captivating story and a diverse roster of male and female commanders, making this title an unforgettable journey through the fascinating Sengoku period. A big thumbs-up from me.

Sociable Soccer 24 is an arcade sports game that focuses primarily on simple controls and smooth, fast-paced matches, and doesn’t require players to perform any complex actions or go through a learning curve. Thanks to these features, the game will be especially appreciated by those who just want some casual fun without having to think too much. However, it can also be a great family game for long winter evenings when you just want to kill some time with a friend or your kids. It’s a bit of a shame that there aren’t any customization options—especially for match length—or user-configurable controls. Even so, it’s a well-made game that we can recommend to all fans of casual games. Seven out of ten.

It's a great game. The campaign is short, but enjoyable. It's unnecessarily challenging in places, but it's a turn-based strategy game, so what else would I expect? The interesting race of frogs is sure to win everyone’s heart. A high-quality combat system, simple controls, and above all, those skits between missions—that’s something amazing. Unfortunately, the game is still let down by the unfinished wait times between turns and minor details on the map. At first, you tell yourself it doesn’t matter, but it’s something that never stops bothering you.

Jack Holmes: Master of Puppet may not be a AAA title, but it offers a gripping and compelling story that you certainly won’t forget anytime soon. The game delivers a visually stunning and emotional experience that immerses you in this vibrant world. In addition to enjoyable gameplay and a great soundtrack, you’ll find unique entertainment in the form of trying out all sorts of attractions—something you won’t find in other horror titles. Plus, the game offers plenty of references to other games, movies, and popular TV shows. It was definitely a big surprise for me, and I’d gladly recommend it to everyone to give it a try.

Men of War II played at being Princess Scooter and arrived in the world half-baked. It’s not a completely bad game, but even after fixing the flaws of the initial release, it’s unlikely it will ever be a great game. However, if it’s really piqued your interest, wait at least a few months for the developers to smooth out the rough edges.

Disco Simulator is a game that will keep you entertained for a few hours, but unfortunately, I was expecting a little more. Yes, decorating and managing the club are fun, but the game doesn’t offer enough content, so it gets repetitive faster than I expected. The constant resetting of progress was the biggest drawback for me. However, if you just want to relax with a game, Disco Simulator might be the right choice for you.

Backpack Hero is a game full of strategic planning and suspense. Whether you choose Story Mode or a quick game, you’ll find plenty of challenges and tactical fun. Although it has its flaws, it offers a unique experience thanks to its innovative use of the backpack as a central gameplay element. Plus, the developers promise to add more content in the future.

Manor Lords is a fantastic building strategy game set in the late 14th century in what is now Bavaria. The game is more of a simulation of everyday life in a medieval fiefdom. The combination of building strategy with war elements reminiscent of Total War works brilliantly and raises the bar yet again. On top of that, everything feels incredibly organic and lively. The Burgage Plots system is brilliantly implemented, and the atmosphere is further enhanced by excellent graphics and sound design. This game has tremendous potential, and if everything goes well, it will undoubtedly become a huge time sink. For me, it’s the biggest surprise of the year.

Spellforce: Conquest of Eo is an interesting departure from the classic Spellforce series, emphasizing turn-based battles and drawing stylistic inspiration from games like Age of Wonders and Heroes of Might and Magic. This change may not appeal to everyone, especially fans and veterans of the series. However, thanks to its intuitive and simple gameplay, it opens the door to newcomers who would like to explore the Spellforce universe but have avoided it so far. Seven out of ten.

Stellar Blade is an exceptionally well-executed example of how the objectification of the female body hasn’t had the last word in the gaming industry—but even without that, it would still be a great game that successfully blends action-packed combat with adventure and RPG elements. An engaging story full of mysteries and twists gives Stellar Blade its real spark, and if you enjoyed the demo, you’ll be thrilled by the rest of the game. The spectacular finale is just the icing on the cake. The only things missing from perfection are more responsive controls—especially during acrobatic sequences—and better English voice acting.

Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut for PC is an exceptional port that faithfully brings the fascinating world of Tsushima to a new platform. The developers at Nixxes Software have done a great job with optimization, ensuring smooth and seamless performance. The game stands out for its visual beauty, complex combat system, and deep story that draws players into the conflict between tradition and honor. Despite a few hiccups, Jin Sakai’s arduous journey remains one of the best samurai adventures available on the market. Even if you’ve already played the console version, the PC port is undoubtedly a must-play for you.

Dread Delusion is a promising title that offers players both an intriguing story and a unique day-and-night cycle. However, its repetitive side quests may be less appealing to some players. This title is certainly intended for all players who enjoy atmospheric and dark RPGs with a compelling story. If you stick to the main storyline, it will take you about ten hours to complete, but beyond that, it offers another thirty hours of entertainment. So hop aboard the airship and set off on an adventure!

SOUTH PARK: SNOW DAY! attempted to branch out by bringing a new experience to the South Park gaming universe, but unfortunately failed in many respects. Repetitive gameplay, technical issues, and—above all—the absence of the signature humor and satire that are the backbone of this franchise leave fans feeling rather disappointed. There may be some who appreciate the cooperative gameplay, but even that won’t be enough to keep players coming back to the game.

Jawbreaker is a brutal, atmospheric stealth game that delivers an intense and unforgettable experience. You’ll find ruthless enemies, interesting environments, a spooky soundtrack, and puzzles. If you’ve ever played any of Vincent’s games or are a fan of horror and stealth action, you definitely shouldn’t miss this title. I like that there aren’t any traditional jump scares—that just makes the game keep you in a constant, mounting state of fear all the more. I’ll admit the final boss disappointed me, but other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed playing it.

Extremely Powerful Capybaras is a cute, colorful game featuring capybaras—though they aren’t quite as cute as they might seem at first glance. These fighters are relentless, and in my opinion, some of them are a bit tricky to control. Still, this game has its own charm and is, so to speak, addictive, because you’ll want to complete all the arenas at any cost. I also like the option to play with friends. Hopefully, an expansion with more arenas will be released soon.

Contra: Operation Galuga is a fantastic return to the classic 2D run-and-gun shoot ’em up genre, in the legendary style of the NES Contra. The new visual style suits the game perfectly, and everything is enhanced by the series’ signature soundtrack. The game also features several new levels, a rogue-lite-style Perk Shop, and weapon upgrades. This nostalgic experience is slightly marred by finicky control settings that require frequent re-saving and the need to use a controller during co-op play. However, if you’re a Contra fan and aren’t put off by the higher price, this game definitely won’t disappoint you.

HELLDIVERS 2 is a fantastic co-op shooter that will keep you and your friends glued to the screen for hours. The game has some shortcomings, such as limited gameplay content and repetitive missions, as well as a few bugs, like texture glitches. Still, it’s a fun game, and you’ll be willing to overlook these flaws because it more than makes up for them with its many other strengths.

In my opinion, Ylands is a very promising exploration adventure game that offers players a vast and diverse sandbox environment. The game’s intuitive editor and multiplayer features enhance its replayability, although some may find it repetitive after a while. Community-driven games, however, offer a welcome diversion in the form of some truly creative experiences. Of course, most of these are just silly little games that last a few minutes. If you’re mainly interested in survival, be sure to purchase the “Explorer” DLC directly within the game. On the other hand, if you want to let your creativity run wild, you’ll definitely have a blast with the editor mentioned above.
