King Arthur: Legion IX is a well-crafted tactical RPG featuring turn-based combat from an isometric perspective that makes excellent use of the universe of the original game, King Arthur: Knight's Tale. The story, which involves the lost Roman Ninth Legion, is well-written, and the game skillfully weaves together Christian, Celtic, and Roman mythology. Compared to the original game, the character skill tree is a bit simpler here, yet each character remains unique thanks to their own ultimate ability. The difficulty has also been significantly increased; the AI does an excellent job of maneuvering its units and presenting you with real challenges. The game features a very pleasant, intuitive interface, and if you enjoyed King Arthur: Knight’s Tale, you’ll be right at home. Unfortunately, compared to its predecessor, it does feel somewhat austere.

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is an excellent sequel that will draw you into a new adventure. The developers at Ninja Theory have done a great job of portraying mental illness. The game’s only major drawback is its high price relative to the content it offers. You’ll finish the story in just under seven hours, and later you’ll have the option to replay it through new narrators.

Despite all the negatives, I have to give Sand Land a positive review. It certainly pays a fitting tribute to the original creator. The main story alone is worth playing, and I can highly recommend it. However, I believe there will be many players who will enjoy all the side activities as well. Whether it’s worth the hefty price of 59.99 euros that publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment will ask you to pay is something you’ll have to decide for yourself. I had a lot of fun playing it, and Sand Land is a pleasant surprise for me.

TopSpin 2K25 marks a welcome return for the famous tennis series. The career mode is really well done; gaining experience and improving your player feels satisfying, as does the need to manage fatigue and exhaustion to prevent injuries. What might be a bit of a letdown for some players, however, is the somewhat more complex keyboard controls. The players’ visuals also don’t quite live up to expectations, but fortunately, the game’s on-court visuals and gameplay more than make up for it.

Dragon's Dogma II will delight RPG fans and fans of the first game. It’s a game for those seeking a challenge and craving the freedom to explore without modern “hand-holding.” Despite some technical shortcomings and a story that drags in places, it more than makes up for it with a superbly executed combat system and extensive character customization options. If you’re willing to overlook a few things, the game will reward you with hours of fun. It’s just a bit of a shame that the developers didn’t try to offer a little more than just an improved version of the first game.

All in all, MotoGP 24 isn’t a bad game at all. However, it could use a little more polish and much more innovation to justify the €49.99 price tag. The game offers a slightly improved career mode with the addition of race stewards and a rider market, but nothing more. On the other hand, it still falls short due to its flawed artificial intelligence and the implementation of adaptive AI, which, in my experience, doesn’t work very reliably yet. For owners of the previous installment, there probably isn’t much reason to upgrade. As for newcomers, I can recommend MotoGP 24, but be sure to at least turn off the adaptive AI while racing. Then you might get a quality racing experience that fully suits your preferences. Six and a half points out of ten.

Creative Assembly continues to enrich its game with high-quality content, whether free or paid. I can wholeheartedly recommend Thrones of Decay to fans of Total War: WARHAMMER III. Like its predecessors, this expansion introduces three new lords with unique mechanics, a wide variety of units, and several more hours of entertainment. What’s more, the price for all three new characters (just under 700 CZK) is very reasonable.

Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor came as a bit of a surprise to me, at least, and—given the genre—undoubtedly met with some skepticism. I’ll admit I was a bit skeptical at first, but in the end, it pleasantly surprised me. Deep Rock Galactic’s take on the roguelite genre works very well. For an early access title—essentially a beta version—it’s clear that a lot of work has gone into it. I had a blast playing it, and there isn’t much to criticize. If content continues to be added at a brisk and steady pace—and we eventually see some new modes or even multiplayer—I dare say that for the price, this is excellent, perhaps even unrivaled entertainment that will last a very long time.

System Shock Remake is a full-fledged successor to a game that once inspired a great many titles that followed. Although it had a major impact on the gaming world, for some reason it didn’t receive as much attention as other cult classics of its era. If you’re looking for a survival horror game with stylized graphics, don’t mind searching for various cards, and love dungeon crawlers, you shouldn’t miss System Shock Remake. This game proves that video game remakes make sense as long as they preserve the original difficulty, style, and concept. Overall, fans of FPS RPGs—such as Deus Ex, BioShock, or even the long-forgotten Neurohunter—shouldn’t miss it. For me, as a fan of this genre, it’s an almost perfect game.

Classified: France '44 is an enjoyable turn-based tactical RPG set during World War II in Nazi-occupied France. It draws inspiration from major titles in the genre, which is certainly no bad thing. Unfortunately, it has also inherited some of their flaws, such as the possibility of missing an enemy at close range despite a 90% chance of hitting. Replayability is enhanced by the fact that France is divided into several regions controlled by three local factions, each offering different bonuses. Likewise, the character classes and their skill trees, with various specialization options, allow you to play the game in your own style. However, the game is held back by technical issues that still need to be fixed. For fans of the genre, this is a title that will definitely keep you entertained.

BZZZT is, first and foremost, a challenge. So once you’ve worked your way through the main story, you can seamlessly continue by completing the game to 100%, fulfilling bonus challenges, or beating the high scores. But if you’re not a fan of platformers that punish you for every mistake, don’t even try it.

Phantom Fury will undoubtedly disappoint anyone who expected a divine experience after seeing the first trailer, but it will please those who formed an impression of the final game based on the demo. Dreams of compensation for the never-completed and unreleased 2001 version of Duke Nukem Forever remain unfulfilled. However, we can play one of the most visually stunning retro shooters of recent times, which offers decent fun if we’re willing to overlook its shortcomings. That’s not a bad outcome at all.

Despite its difficulty, Withering Rooms is a very entertaining game that you simply have to finish at all costs. But one playthrough definitely won’t be enough—you’ll also need to see the other endings to better understand the whole story. The game also offers plenty of puzzles (some of which are a bit trickier) that provide a pleasant challenge. Personally, I also really enjoyed meeting new characters, searching for hidden paths, and, of course, changing Nightingale’s outfits. The Medusa Head is my favorite piece in the main character’s wardrobe. Even if you’re not a fan of the Souls games, you should definitely give this one a try, as it’s surprisingly addictive.

Praetorians – HD Remaster brings this once-successful RTS back with a new HD makeover, making it more visually appealing to today’s players. However, in addition to its improved visuals, the game also carries over the same flaws found in the original. Despite its shortcomings, it’s an enjoyable RTS that can really challenge the minds of die-hard strategists. Unfortunately, many modern players will find the game lacking in dynamism and rather tedious.

Pandemic: The Board Game is a very faithful adaptation of its original board game. It offers plenty of room for strategic thinking that will really put your brain to the test. Thanks to the characters’ asymmetrical abilities, fast-paced gameplay, and an element of chance, it’s a highly addictive game that you’ll want to conquer again and again. Or at least try to. It’s just a shame about the annoying and inaccurate prediction of your actions, the camera that refuses to stay in the selected position, and the inability to play with teammates online.

Lil' Guardsman is like a mischievous elf who occasionally gets caught in his own traps. Despite the occasional flaws in its execution, however, it manages to captivate and entertain with its charm and original concept. The game offers an engaging story full of dilemmas and humorous situations that are sure to warm the player’s heart. Although the journey with Lil is sometimes winding and may require patience, it’s well worth it to discover the bizarre corners and characters of this peculiar kingdom. Don’t worry—there’s definitely no shortage of fun.

How would I sum up Paleo Pines? For me personally, it’s just another cute farming simulator—but this time with dinosaurs. Everything is colorful and incredibly cute. This game will definitely keep you busy for a few hours as you discover and complete everything. I’m very happy to recommend this game to you, especially if you’re a fan of dinosaurs, laid-back games, or just want to chill out a bit.
