Spiritfarer is a game with a unique concept in which you become a ferryman for souls in the form of cute animals on their final journey, helping them come to terms with their past and find inner peace. Saying a final goodbye to these endearing characters gives the game a deeper dimension and offers a perspective on death that players don’t usually encounter. Add to that a highly engaging gameplay loop in the form of a management simulator, all presented in fairy-tale-like 2D graphics. The result is an amazing experience with just a few minor flaws. Anyone looking for a deeper gaming experience should give Spiritfarer a chance. It’s definitely worth it.

Thea 2: The Shattering is an incredibly entertaining turn-based survival strategy game that will make you feel like you’re losing not only your nerves but also your dignity. The game offers an incredible array of tactical combinations and options as you fight tooth and nail to survive. Sometimes it’s harder, sometimes it’s easier, but unfortunately, it’s still complex enough to unnecessarily deter many players. This is especially true for the beginning, which will essentially determine almost your entire future. And the worst part is that the game is extremely addictive—after all, one more turn can’t hurt, right?

So how should we rate South of the Circle, a game with a powerful story, beautiful visuals, amazing music, and even better voice acting—but one that, in just under four hours, basically doesn’t let you do almost anything, doesn’t let you influence the story, offers choices with zero impact, and has a confusing ending that essentially sends you right back to the beginning…? That is the question. I can’t say the game bored me outright, but something was simply missing for me here. The title has an amazing atmosphere, amazing characters, and an amazing message, but I don’t know if the role of a mere spectator satisfied me enough.

My Friend Pedro is a fantastic action game that, even three years after its release, still delivers fast-paced action and surprisingly brutal fun. With its mix of action, acrobatics, bullet time, and Pedro’s hilarious one-liners, this game is sure to entertain you and provide a great way to unwind.

Dead by Daylight is a horror multiplayer (4+1) hide-and-seek game with a perfect atmosphere that’s played by a huge number of people, and it truly deserves its popularity. You can find it on many gaming platforms and play cross-platform with friends as survivors or solo as the killer. A minor downside is the game’s poor balance—though the developers are working hard to fix it—as well as the frequent need to spend money on new, relatively expensive DLC. Ultimately, it’s an original AAA title that will give you a real scare, and we highly recommend it.

Vampire Survivors is an incredibly affordable gem that’s worth every gamer’s time. Plus, it’s extremely addictive, and because it’s so accessible and easy to control, it’ll automatically win over every player—not just fans of rogue-lite games. The game’s content is also constantly expanding, and hopefully an even better version will be released someday. Let’s hope that this will be primarily in terms of graphics.

If I had to sum up Just Die Already in a nutshell, I’d say that despite its flaws, the game will definitely entertain you. I highly recommend it for a group of four friends who want to play a casual game just for fun and aren’t looking to take anything too seriously. Just Die Already’s open world is interesting and won’t bore you to death. Price-wise, the game is affordable, and in my opinion, the purchase price matches the gaming experience. However, you won’t be able to avoid the shortcomings in the form of bugs and crashes.

The Best Month Ever! is a fairly average game with ordinary characters and a story that tries to tug at your heartstrings, though it doesn’t quite succeed. However, it does a good job of portraying the relationship between parents and children and shows that a mother is willing to do anything for her children to ensure their well-being. It also bluntly reminds us that time is precious and we only have one childhood; memories of it stay with us our whole lives and are an integral part of our personality. Unfortunately, the combination doesn’t really work in an interactive game.

Sands of Salzaar is a really good game that will keep you glued to your seat for hours on end. If you’ve played the Mount & Blade series, you’ll really enjoy this title. This indie game from an indie studio offers several playable characters, a vast open world, factions you can conquer, and a compelling story.

Soul Hackers 2 is a game that’s well above average. The story is great, intricate, and—in its own way—slightly innovative, even though it draws on a familiar premise. While the combat system can feel repetitive at times, there’s always the option to tweak it and really enjoy the game all over again. The music fits well, the sounds are typical of Japanese games, and the same goes for the graphics. There’s also a nicely interwoven theme of magic, demons, and modern futuristic technologies, which is something you don’t see very often. Unfortunately, the pre-paid DLC feels like a rip-off, and the grind can sometimes leave you stuck for hours on end, time you’ll never get back.

The Anacrusis is yet another shooter, but it immediately stands out for its original setting. In terms of both gameplay and technical aspects, it feels very much like a clone of Left 4 Dead. So if you’re looking for something new and fresh, we definitely recommend the game, but it doesn’t offer anything groundbreaking in terms of gameplay. The Anacrusis is still in development, so it’s important to give the developers some time and wait to see what new special missions and maps they have in store for us. However, one thing is certain: if you want to play something familiar, albeit a little different, this game is perfect for you. We don’t recommend buying it at full price, though.

Unfortunately, Bakery Simulator is a prime example of how a once-good game can be ruined. We’ve mostly gotten used to the fact that smaller studios aren’t always able to fix certain flaws, and we’re willing to forgive them for many minor missteps. Bakery Simulator, however, is not one of those cases, and if the developers are unable to tweak the movement mechanics to a more tolerable level, I’d rather remove this aspect entirely—or, at worst, leave it as is. The solution Live Motion Games offered its players, however, was more like the studio shooting itself in the foot, which eventually came back to haunt them. If you can get past this aspect and are satisfied with just moving around your bakery, you’ll get a good game that can keep you entertained for hours. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get past this problem, and for this reason, I’m giving Bakery Simulator a mere five out of ten points.

Frozenheim is a solid strategy game that incorporates enjoyable survival elements. Building is fun, not too demanding, and even newcomers will enjoy it. Generating satisfaction and settling new areas can be a bit of a headache at times, but then again, what isn’t? The highlights are the fantastic naval battles and the game’s very appealing visuals. Unfortunately, the occasionally confusing or downright nonsensical battles and the forced organic path generation that dictates your settlement’s construction are unnecessarily frustrating and prevent the game from reaching its full potential.

It’s not the same disaster it was when it first came out, but it’s probably one of the best entries in the entire Heroes of Might and Magic series. Once all the issues were resolved, what emerged was a fantastic turn-based strategy game with a great soundtrack, beautiful graphics, and, above all, a perfect story. So if you gave up on the game years ago, just like I did, change your mind and go enjoy it.

Thymesia is an intriguing Souls-like RPG that stands out primarily for its plague weapon system and how it’s used. The game’s visual setting in a gloomy, Gothic medieval kingdom has its own charm, and the experience is all the more immersive because you play as a character dressed as a plague doctor. Combat is dynamic, and each enemy requires a different approach. The game offers a diverse array of plague weapons and a wide selection of talents, skills, and abilities to create your own build. If you enjoy Souls-like games, Thymesia will definitely keep you entertained.

Thanks to its gentle nature, pleasant visuals, simple controls, and touching story, Röki is an excellent puzzle-adventure game that will entertain both children and adults. Searching for objects and unraveling mysteries in a snow-covered Scandinavian wilderness teeming with supernatural creatures is not only a feast for the eyes but also a balm for the soul. You’ll find this game pleasantly relaxing, and you might even shed a tear or two over the course of about ten hours.

In my opinion, Lust from Beyond: M Edition is a pointless version of the original title that robs players of the core theme of lust and cuts out part of the content. If the sight of a bare female breast is that much of a deal-breaker for you, you’re better off playing the censored mode of the base game or choosing another horror title in a similar vein—there are plenty of them on the market. The M Edition was intended to appeal to a wider audience, but you’d be much better off playing the classic Lust from Beyond. We can thus view the “M” rating as a futile attempt to please players who, however, certainly have no shortage of other options to choose from in the gaming world.

Two Point Campus is a really good and fun game that I can highly recommend. The game’s humor won’t offend even older audiences, which is saying something. It’s very accessible and has solid gameplay mechanics when it comes to building and management. If you’ve played Two Point Hospital and enjoyed it, you’re sure to love Two Point Campus as well.
