Super Mario Bros. Wonder offers a complete world and character overhaul, with fully redesigned and fluid animations, bringing an innovative touch to the saga in true Nintendo style. The game provides hours of carefree fun, smiles, and amazement, unmatched by most games. If 2D platformers are your idea of fun, this is one of the year's best titles. Extremely varied and fun, both simple and complex, and absolutely recommended. You won't regret it.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 showcases Konami's decline as a reputable video game publisher. Priced unjustifiably high compared to its actual content, the collection offers no significant improvements over the originals. If the documentary additions are the highlight, something has clearly gone wrong. Wait for a substantial price cut, even if you're a die-hard Snake fan.

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged doesn't do much to surpass its predecessor's solid foundation. Apart from the introduction of jumping and car bumping, there's little new. It's a carefree, colorful, and fun arcade racing game, but feels more like an update than a new chapter. Fans of the first game will enjoy it, but those seeking innovation should look elsewhere.

It's odd to say Forza Motorsport suffers from growing pains in its eighth installment, but its new live service nature results in a flat and sterile career mode. However, once on the track, Turn10's work shines, showcasing the pinnacle of simcade gameplay and graphics.

PAW Patrol World is a carefree and fun game that captures the spirit of the popular animated show. Emphasizing teamwork, solidarity, and problem-solving, it's an excellent educational tool for children who will love the digital charm of their favorite characters. Clearly aimed at a young audience, it's a delightful experience for kids.

Dungeons of Eternity is an excellent dungeon crawler, possibly one of the best available for the Meta headset. With good aesthetics, solid combat, and credible physics, its only current limitation is content. The future looks promising for this foundationally strong VR RPG.

Kill It With Fire VR is simple and relies on a basic concept with bizarre methods to achieve its goal. Despite its comic potential, its short longevity and quickly exhausted potential make it a forgettable pastime in the current complex VR landscape.

Endless Dungeon is an excellent game combining action and strategy. A mix of tower defense and shooter elements with good RPG mechanics, it offers a dynamic and artistically inspired experience. While it suffers from some technical issues, hard work can likely fix them soon.

I've played many soulslikes, both good and bad, but Lords of the Fallen is needlessly frustrating and flawed. HexWorks focuses excessively on difficulty, undermining the positive aspects of its level design. Despite innovative Umbral mechanics, the game feels like an anachronism, failing to live up to the genre's refinements over the years.

EA Sports FC 24 isn't the revolution expected with the name change; it's more like FIFA 23 with a new name and menu graphics, and minimal updates across the board. The gameplay remains largely the same: realistic and satisfying offline, chaotic online. Ultimate Team hasn't changed, Club and Volta are sidelined, and only Career mode has made some progress. The main issue, as with many sports games today, is justifying the annual €80 entry fee.

Gazzlers is an on-rail shooter with roguelite elements that may not be revolutionary, but it's incredibly fun and effective. Although it lacks elements that elevate it above other genre representatives, Bolt Blaster Games and Banzai Studios have created a colorful and immediate title that instills the 'just one more' sentiment in players. While the overall variety and power-up management could be better, these minor flaws don't detract from its overall enjoyment. The Machine God awaits you!

Bud Spencer & Terence Hill – Slaps and Beans 2 is a side-scrolling beat 'em up that entertains fans of Carlo Pedersoli and Mario Girotti's legendary films. Unfortunately, Trinity Team focused only on fans of the movies, missing the opportunity to attract a broader audience of beat 'em up enthusiasts with a bit more effort.

Trepang2's tribute to F.E.A.R. is heartfelt but not fully realized. Despite good intentions and similarities, it lacks the AI brilliance that made Monolith Productions' title timeless. The protagonist's resemblance to Crysis isn't fully successful, with effective bullet time but nearly useless invisibility. However, once past initial uncertainties, Subject 106's adventure is a fast-paced, challenging, and fun shooter. While not on par with F.E.A.R., it's still enjoyable.

Darktide for Xbox is an excellent product available at a great price (or even free on Game Pass). Fatshark's significant improvements enhance some core aspects of the game. While the gameplay remains repetitive and has some technical issues, these are acceptable given the launch price. A good cooperative shooter balancing strategy and dynamism, it's particularly challenging at higher difficulties.

Moving Out 2 brings back the hilarious F.A.R.T. movers, ensuring hours of fun for players emptying houses. Although it doesn't offer many gameplay innovations over the previous installment, it's still a solid choice for playing with friends, whether locally or online.

If you've always been curious about the Fate saga but never dared to explore its complex universe, Fate/Samurai Remnant is the perfect entry point. It introduces a new and unconnected story with all the narrative elements of the Type-Moon universe, combined with immediate yet deep gameplay. With an intriguing narrative and plenty of activities, it dispels any fear of approaching Fate. Be prepared to spend time on its visual novel elements, which are only in English.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is a typical Assassin’s Creed game, blending familiar storytelling with moments of entertaining gameplay and some tedious parts. It will please fans who wanted a return to the series' roots, especially with its €50 launch price. However, it also shows that the franchise might benefit more from looking toward the future.

Despite starting with an interesting and well-built base, Infinity Strash: DRAGON QUEST The Adventure of Dai fails to go beyond being a mere and unconvincing task, due to some questionable design choices. The abrupt interruption halfway through the original story (for future expansion) and the imbalance between action and passive consumption make it lacking in player engagement. This is disappointing as it shows potential when in action. It's another misstep for Square Enix, who should better evaluate minor productions before releasing them.

Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy is a successful sequel that carries the series' legacy forward. Unfortunately, Frozenbyte hasn't addressed historical flaws, but in terms of puzzle/platforming, it's one of the best, whether in single-player or co-op.

After spending hours with it and writing this review, I still don't fully understand what Everhood: Eternity Edition is. However, I do know that it's a unique and mesmerizing experience by Chris Nordgren and Jordi Roca, capable of questioning its foundations and the player's role. Accompanying Rosso on his journey reveals a convincing and multifaceted gameplay, with a complex and hypnotic universe filled with bizarre characters.
