SINce Memories: Off the Starry Sky is an engaging visual nove, with elements of drama and mystery built up slowly as the relationship between the characters develops. While the translation quality may be lacking at times, it is still an easy recommendation for those who like the genre and want to experience this first Western contact with the classic Memories Off franchise.

6.5 / 10.0 - Blazing Strike
Oct 25, 2024

Considering that online play is full of problems, the game fails to deliver a competent implementation of the feature that would give it more playtime, from the terrible matchmaking to constant crashing bugs, resulting in a frustrating experience. In the midst of this, I recommend Blazing Strike as a good arcade game, which can be functional for quick single player games, not sustainable in a long-term cycle, with a small cast and a lack of competitive possibilities.

The Jackbox Survey Scramble is without a doubt one of the most ambitious projects from Jackbox Games that I've played, and it manages to be very fun.

8.5 / 10.0 - Yakuza Kiwami
Oct 24, 2024

Although Yakuza Kiwami has some small problems, the game is an excellent choice, especially for newcomers who want to know more about Kiryu and his series. Yakuza 0 would also be another very good choice, but Kiwami manages to stand out well as a unique story that doesn't need others to give it context. If you want to get to know the franchise, this is the perfect chance.

With a more personal touch, Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 Remake is a strategy game that needs to be seen in a different way than others in the genre. Being a much slower experience and with multiple opportunities for those who like to create their own story, it is difficult to recommend the game to those looking for a more traditional strategy experience.

And finally, the conclusion we can draw from this review is that Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven takes aspects of the original game and it improves them. If you were lucky enough (or unlucky, the game was quite unforgivable in the original versions) to play the remaster or even a fan translation of the '93 game, you will clearly see the improvements that Revenge of the Seven brings. If you're looking to spend dozens of hours in a well-made JRPG with gameplay systems that don't get boring, I highly recommend this game!

6.5 / 10.0 - Potionomics
Oct 22, 2024

If you ask me if I liked Potionomics, I would say that in isolation, yes, it is a game that is different and interesting enough to keep you there, casual enough to play for a while and stop, and it has stories and character development that will entertain you. None of this is extremely well done however, but it is enough to pass the time.

9 / 10.0 - Card-en-Ciel
Oct 21, 2024

Card-en-Ciel manages to mix an interesting idea of a card-based RPG with some roguelike elements while still being able to pay homage to a majority of INTI CREATES' history. However, the lack of representation of and some minor technical aspects keep the experience from its full potential.

4 / 10.0 - REYNATIS
Oct 20, 2024

REYNATIS has a really promising concept, but the RPG simply leaves a sour taste in my mouth that doesn't justify all of the hype. From the bad performance on the Nintendo Switch to side-quests that don't really add much to the lore, you're better off spending your hard-earned money somewhere else.

Nikoderiko: The Magical World feels like if Crash Bandicoot and Donkey Kong fused together, providing an experience that is not only nostalgic, but also innovative at the same time, and a joy for any platforming fans out there.

A new PopSlinger would usually mean an unforgettable soundtrack and a charming cast of characters. However, PopSlinger Vol 2's technical issues and elements that are narratively questionable turn it into a game that is unfortunately frustrating to play.

9 / 10.0 - 9 R.I.P.
Oct 9, 2024

Besides being a highly recommended game for fans of otome games who are willing to take on an adventure that offers a reasonable dose of terror and suspense, 9 R.I.P. tells several love stories that speak volumes to people who are in a phase of self-discovery, making it a game that anyone can easily relate to. 9 R.I.P. is also a game that offers a relatively wide range of quality content, which, despite having a few problems, are nowhere near enough to overshadow its brilliance.

I am honestly speechless on how BAD I★CHU: Chibi Edition is. Were I to call this the definitive way to experience the series, I would think that I have gone crazy, and my friends would also say the same. I don't know who to throw the blame at for this subpar work, but one thing is certain: You're much better off spending your hard-earned money on something else. Trust me.

9 / 10.0 - RPG Maker WITH
Oct 7, 2024

RPG MAKER WITH is an extremely competent and solid game, but the experience will depend more on the player due to its overall nature. In a sense, you can make whatever game you want, but it will require time and effort that might be daunting for a novice.

Touhou DANMAKU KAGURA Phantasia Lost is certainly a very requested game in the Touhou community, taking in consideration that part of what makes the project so beloved by many is its soundtrack, nothing could be more fitting than bringing together several musical productions to make a rhythm game that innovates in its gameplay despite its many stumbling blocks. At the end of the day, Touhou DANMAKU KAGURA proves to be a solid title within the Touhou Project and is highly recommended for the fans of the series who enjoy musical games.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is more than just a new title in the franchise; it's a rebirth of the series in many ways. The innovative gameplay, the inclusion of Zelda as the protagonist and the return to dungeons show that the traditional formula still has a lot to offer.

Victory Heat Rally is an addicting racing game that takes you back to the 32-bit era of games, while also providing its unique spin, with its amazing soundtrack and gameplay loop. While I would've loved to see more, such as an online mode, and a more varied character roster, those are minor issues that don't hurt the experience overall.

Night Slashers: Remake doesn't reinvent the wheel, but it's a well-polished product that will give you and your friends some quality time, with single-screen co-op for up to 4 players.

Designed to be user-friendly, Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 focuses on offering lighter gameplay than the main line series, it's a more “family friendly” shooter. The gameplay is competent, has EDF in its essence and it fits well to the Nintendo Switch's hybrid proposal, especially as it offers several possibilities for playing with friends. The experience as a whole, however, sometimes generates a certain discomfort because it is too unpretentious.

Right off the bat you can see that Touhou Genso Wanderer -FORESIGHT- is a game that has its limitations, the question is whether or not the game has been able to use its limited resources to mitigate them. FORESIGHT is a game that does very well in some asspects, but stumbles in others. Overall, the game is able to offer a concise and satisfying experience, largely due to the lighter and less punitive approach to combat, being just the right amount of challenging.
