Between good and bad things, Stories of Sol: The Gun-Dog shows us an adventure that, despite pretty good, might be an annoying experience sometimes, which it's overall good, despite that. It's amazing pixel art with great color pallette options it's a great way to present the game to the world, being the most iconic aspect of the game. With some of it's flaws showed above, it's an interesting well told narrative, even if this "good" can't fit so perfectly while describing this title, far from perfect, unfortunately

If you're a fan of fighting games, Guilty Gear -Strive- is a great choice for Nintendo's little hybrid monster. It shows the power of excellent optimization combined with an already great game. With the additional content included, everything gets even better, but the lack of crossplay can get in the way.

10 / 10.0 - Afterlove EP
Feb 13, 2025

Afterlove EP carries the essence of underground indie rock band culture, with the entire atmosphere of the game centered around this aesthetic, and can be metaphorically described as the sound of a distorted guitar playing the melancholic chord progressions of a garage band song. It's a game about sadness, but it's also an optimistic game about resilience.

9 / 10.0 - Snezhinka
Feb 12, 2025

As a game, Snezhinka doesn't let its players down. Delivering some good action and strategy elements on it's surface while still mixing a lot of funny moments in a absurd narrative. The switch version lacks some analog sensibility options, but besides that, still delivers a quality title to the console.

Urban Myth Dissolution Center is a great game for fans of the genre, not because it introduces new elements or incorporates new mechanics into what is already conventional, but because of its great presentation and its different and somewhat pertinent concept, given the current situation of modern society. With a solid narrative structure, interesting stories and charismatic characters, the game proves to be worthy of the time of those who are interested in the title but have not yet decided whether or not to play it.

For those who were looking for a good shmup in MACROSS -Shooting Insight-, I suggest spending your hard-earned gold coins on other games of the same style, which are abundantly present in the library of Nintendo's hybrid console. Everything you've tried has failed. I don't recommend the game even to the most inveterate player of the style.

The Stone of Madness is an ambitious game that gets many things right, but falls short in others. Its rich setting and strategic mechanics provide an engaging experience for fans of stealth and resource management, and the ability to take different approaches to solving missions adds significant replay value.

STAR WARS: Episode I: Jedi Power Battles has its place as a simple, arcade game where mindlessly pressing buttons and accumulating points against low-intelligence enemies is what a Star Wars fan wants to do for a day, maybe even two, given the long length of the levels, which are 14 in total. If you have a friend who is a fan of the franchise, getting together, buying some drinks of your choice, and talking about Star Wars for five hours might be a good way to get the most out of the game, but otherwise, it won't be at the top of the list of Star Wars games for the Switch.

Despite not being a great fundamental piece for the series' overall narrative, Trails Through Daybreak II is another good game for the Trails franchise. Refining mechanics introduced in the previous game and offering additional development for your characters, the title will please anyone who enjoyed what Calvard had to offer and would like an additional adventure with its cast.

Voice Love On Air is an excellent dating sim, with extensive and diverse content, 4 very captivating romanceable guys and very fun tricks. If you want a lighter story in BL games or like the management mechanics, I easily recommend this title.

Despite its excellent aesthetics and sense of humor, and its competent level design full of surprises and challenges, which are generally well-designed, Moons of Darsalon's technical limitations limit it. Perhaps, with enough patches, we'll be able to experience the game as it was intended, but for now, bugs get in the way and hinder progress at various points.

Big Helmet Heroes was a very pleasant surprise, bringing very enjoyable gameplay, very charismatic characters and a very interesting world. A strong recommendation for lovers of beat 'em up games and for those who enjoy playing cooperative action games.

ENDER MAGNOLIA: Bloom in the Mist expands on much of what was seen in its predecessor. It's beautiful, fun, and challenging in just the right amount. In my opinion, it goes on a little longer than it should in terms of its narrative. Technically, it's an impeccable game that performs well on the Switch, whether docked or in portable mode. It's one of the best — if not the best — releases of the year so far.

Tales of Graces f Remastered is one of the best titles in the series and the new version only helps to improve the experience even further. In addition to being a game that will please those who already know the franchise, it is also perfect for newcomers who want to enter the world of Tales. May Bandai Namco view the success of the relaunch positively and may this mean a possible return of other classics from the franchise, like perhaps, who knows, the other Team Destiny titles that are exclusive to Japan.

Donkey Kong Country Returns is a lot of fun, with dozens of levels and fun moments despite the high difficulty for Nintendo games in this genre. However, since it is an improved version based on the Wii and 3DS versions, the work here could have been much better in terms of visuals.

Exploring an island full of surprises, while helping our friends, and building a community alongside these iconic characters was truly an incredible experience. The visuals are very cute and harmonize well with the proposal and tone, and the same goes for the songs, the characters then, are pure fun and comfort, from Pochaco, to Ponponpurin and passing by Cinamoroll, all of my favorites brought and continue to bring me smiles and laughs and continuing on this island has become a part of my routine. From the isometric exploration with puzzles, to the management, friendship system, everything went well for me and the expansive scope of the game takes everything to a level that I don't think most would expect from a licensed game, and although it is not the most daring of games in this genre, it does it quite competently and brings a solid asset with these important characters in the cast.

Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector preserves the essence of the original, but expands on it significantly in both narrative and gameplay. New crew and starship mechanics add an extra layer of strategy, while the story continues to brilliantly explore themes of identity, exploration, and resistance in a brutally unequal world.

Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection had the challenge of adapting an originally 2D adventure to an 3D one, and have done it amazingly well. With it's retro aesthetics and so many inspirations, it flashes charismatically, which is no different for it's monsters, being, in fact, a great thing. It's anime-based art direction was the right choice considering what the original game wanted to tell to the player.

What was developed in Neptunia Riders VS Dogoos looks very much like a silly idea that someone from the studio had and decided to turn into a "real game", and in my humble opinion that's what Neptunia spin-offs should be, after all there are many other interesting ways to satirize the games industry while other genres and ideas are explored.

7 / 10.0 - Cuisineer
Jan 27, 2025

Cuisineer is a game that grabs you with the charm of its setting, its creative mix of dungeon crawler and business simulation, and its simple and accessible approach to management and exploration mechanics. The narrative, which reflects in a light and ironic way the challenges of modern life, complements the gameplay well and creates an engaging and fun experience. However, the game has some flaws that can affect the player's experience.
