While it can be viewed as a prelude to the darkness awaiting in chapters (don't make the joke) 6 and 7—offering few concrete answers and a plot that provides little fodder for Reddit theorists—it remains a story segment that stands well on its own, serving as the perfect dose of pure joy and sunshine before the chaos promised by the prophecy.

In Fair Spirits is a BL slice-of-life visual novel that manages to convey the feeling of a blooming innocent love. Overall, following the cute Edmund and his relationship with Abel is very compelling and worth a try, though the game ends up leaving some parts open to further exploration beyond its ending and the technical quality of its elements doesn't stand out.

The wealth of good ideas here remains incredibly valuable, and I can easily recommend the experience to any fan of platformers with a healthy dose of puzzle-solving. Actually, I don't need to overcomplicate things: if you appreciate cute visuals and found the game's little female mouse protagonist absolutely charming, this is certainly a great recommendation for you.

This undermines the game's potential; however, if these bugs are fixed, *K-pop Idol Stories: Road to Debut* is a must-play for anyone wanting to experience firsthand the dream of forming their own K-pop group—complete with blood, sweat, and tears.

Acknowledging the title's limitations, I believe the experience is satisfying for those seeking short play sessions, especially in handheld mode. I must admit, however, that the scale of the pixel art gave me a bit of a headache, as I had to strain my eyes to distinguish between enemy and friendly ships, shots, power-ups, and even the arrows identifying the different types of sockets.

Moonlight Peaks kicks off with a strong theme: a young woman breaking ties with her father—a powerful vampire—to forge her own identity and live life on her own terms in a new setting, where she meets interesting characters and concepts while growing as a person. It is a classic premise, yet beautiful and well-executed, offering more conflict than other titles in the genre. Unfortunately, the elements that excited me most—the magic systems and the like—get diluted by farming mechanics that have become all too familiar by now. While there is nothing wrong with being another "love letter" to the genre, it is a bit frustrating to see Moonlight Peaks’ massive potential get bogged down by the standard checklist of expectations for a "cozy game."

My honest opinion is that Star Fox for the Nintendo Switch 2 is, by far, the best game in the franchise. It features the best gameplay, story, and levels; and while much of this stems from the legendary original game being remade, it is also impossible not to give credit to the talented team at Velan Studios for everything that was recreated, reimagined, and added.

Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land starts the series on Nintendo's new platform in a way that could have been a little better. Atelier Yumia itself is a good game if you enjoy JRPGs, but as an Atelier title, it falls short in many aspects. The game still retains some of the series' DNA, such as charming characters and slice-of-life interactions, but it falters by choosing to put this in the background and focus on a narrative whose potential wasn't fully explored.

The gameplay is enjoyable and relies on simple controls; even as the difficulty ramps up across stages, it is clear that success depends on the player improving, rather than the game becoming artificially difficult. Although gameplay is the title's strong suit, there is an unfolding backstory woven in to ensure the frenetic action doesn't become tedious.

Dark Scrolls isn't the first to do what it does—after all, roguelikes and roguelites don't keep coming out so frequently by accident, even if there are complaints about genre saturation—but it is very well-executed and excels at it. Not to mention that chaotic co-op has become a staple in games famously known for tearing families apart, like Overcooked (it might sound like an exaggeration, but there’s a grain of truth to it).

It’s possible that I’m simply not the target audience for the series. Which is funny, to say the least, considering I’m a huge fan of cyberpunk—and books in general. What initially struck me—and what Citizen Sleeper 2 seems to confirm—is that the series straddles two worlds (gaming and literature) yet lacks the strength to fully realize itself in either. The writing is as weak as Wattpad fiction, and the visual experience is as monotonous as nature sounds meant to cure insomnia.

It is difficult to evaluate my experience with *Rise of the Tomb Raider* in isolation from its predecessor; the two games are very similar, and playing this one reminded me exactly of my experience with the first. Yes, there are improvements—particularly visual ones—but otherwise, it feels like a slightly alternative version of everything I had already seen.
