GOOD - Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf is a fun, full immersion, Warhammer experience you won’t want to miss. It melds turn-based strategy with card games to create an enjoyable time. Fans of the universe will probably enjoy the game more than newcomers, but this one is still approachable enough.

WORTH CONSIDERING - Aside from having to rotate the Switch to play it, Homo Machina is a fun way to spend a half an hour or so solving small puzzles and learning about the human body. It won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but there’s definitely some entertainment to be had here for only three bucks.

MEDIOCRE - Type:Rider is a fun, but unremarkable game that might be worth playing at least once for the history lessons. Those into typography and art should get a kick out of the simplistic premise. Everyone else can probably pass.

GOOD - Shooter fans should find plenty to like with Warplanes: WW2 Dogfight. The game doesn’t really offer anything revolutionary, but if you’re looking for a quick fix to knock some planes out of the sky this one should do the trick.

GREAT - Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP is not only a joy to experience, but has a rich history worth exploring in further detail. Those who grew up playing games on the PC in the early ‘90s will especially get a kick out of this one.

MEDIOCRE - Asterix & Obelix XXL 2 fits the bill if you're looking for a casual beat-em-up with some light puzzle solving elements. Unfortunately the repetitive combat and high price make it hard to stand out from other great Switch titles.

Grim Fandango is a fantastic remake of a PC adventure classic and well worth playing on the Nintendo Switch. You can enjoy it on the go or at home on the TV and it's a perfect game to play around this time of the year. Every point-and-click adventure fan should pick this one up.

Warlock of Firetop Mountain is a fun, challenging RPG with a twist. Whether you’re a fan of traditional RPGs, read the books as a kid or have no history with the series whatsoever, the game will draw you into the adventure. The variety of player options will keep you returning to the mountain for a long time to come.
