60 / 100 - Thunderflash
May 24, 2021

Thunderflash is another throwback to the classics of three and four decades ago. And it does it well, but it doesn't go any further. It is peppered with game modes and remember our progress in points, credits and level selection. With two simultaneous players, the mythical 2PV,. the thing goes up integers. But it does not do too much either. It complies, and it is not necessary to ask for more.

Three characters with their own abilities to handle alternately, skill, platforms, action, adventure HIBERNIA! Clan O'Conall is fun, it's pretty, and it's 8-10 hours enjoyable. Nice work in classic 2D for an adventure of reflexes and calculation. And from pummeling undesirables who want our kingdom too.

75 / 100 - Bad Dream: Coma
May 17, 2021

Bad Dream: Coma is an extremely simple point & click, in invoice and design. But worked and complex in its development and setting. A sinister and macabre adventure, a walk on the dark side of the collective subconscious, and a game that allows and pushes to replay it to get all the potential that it keeps within.

They have not seen eyes, nor felt hearts, the fervent and extremely disconcerting experiences that Trine Laier offers us in her journey delving into the past and the soul of her parents. The weird is cool; the weirdest is fascinating; but to get excited we need more. And Cosmic Top Secret has it, along with tons of cardboard and paper, our Friend? Marco's imaginary monkey, and the always useful grenades given to us by Dad's friend.

It's very sad that a game from a debutant team has to suffer such a hammering, added to the fact that this is the first international title for a Nigerian programming team. But this is a poor title, very poor. And I'm afraid I find it hard to understand how something with a very large amount of problems has been released in this condition. I hope that Smart olive Games will not lose the illusion and momentum after the setbacks that such an incomplete and poorly executed game is receiving.

NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… is a wonderful opportunity to meet and enjoy a game that deserves to break out of its niche status, as its formidable sequel has done. I take my hat off to the restoration work, as well as I praise that the original experience is so direct, with the edges that may be there at certain points such as the scarcity of scenarios and areas of action. But by being so respectful in his excellent job of updating, many more players enjoy in a more fluid and improved way something that goes beyond the action-RPG or Japanese cult title.

Abe's second game is so much more than the remake of a PlayStation title that wasn't even going to be in the main series. The base of the original game and the previous remake is greatly expanded, in the visual, artistic, in the sequences, and in the playable. But expanding is not always improving, more is not always better, although in many moments of the game it is.

60 / 100 - Genesis Noir
Apr 2, 2021

If they tell me that they are going to tell me about the Big Bang, the creation, the stars, life, its variables and meanings through a story of a guy who sells watches and watches his girlfriend get shot, it would be totally impossible for me to imagine . And much less in the way of Genesis Noir. I play experience with an art as I have seen very few, and I am not only talking about the world of video games. One button and the mouse / stick and you will move the universe ... literal as well.

We already know what narrative games are, the way to follow a story can be as or more important than the story itself. Playing a children's story in the form of a 2D platformer with a watercolor 'drawing' is a nice experience, to which I would only ask for a little more complexity in its proposal with the pad in hand. But the story of Izzy and Georgia leaves an aftertaste, an imprint, and that always deserves a chance at least.

75 / 100 - Paradise Lost
Mar 24, 2021

Quite common today is the genre of narrative adventures, where following the thread of the plot takes on more weight than direct and complex gameplay. The truth is that it is a type of game that I like from time to time, and I even appreciate it, as I have done with this Paradise Lost. A story that stings and intrigue, an audiovisual and environmental part worked and immersive, and an interactive part with the hands on the pad and the mouse already more limited that also takes its toll on the narrative quality.

80 / 100 - Zniw Adventure
Mar 19, 2021

Put your hand on the mouse and choose a very comfortable place to sit, because you will be like this without making big movements for 8-10 hours. Zniw Adventure wastes sympathy, care and love for the work and the genre from the first steps of this huge adventure millions of years ago. I think that precisely the simplicity of the point'n click, interface, actions and puzzles make the game perfectly accessible to anyone, this should not stay only in a niche of nostalgic boomers. If you are enchanted when you see the images, I assure you that you are also the audience of the game without the need to know the genre.

75 / 100 - Donut County
Mar 8, 2021

Donut County is simple and very attractive, available everywhere, if you want you will have it. Donut County is a fast but wildly satisfying, and even Machiavellian, experience. Controlling a hole that swallows everything from simple weeds to motorway caravans is something you have to try at some point in your life. From children who are learning to handle a tablet to those retirees who with COVID no longer have so many works to observe and criticize, everyone fits here, the hole is generous.

80 / 100 - PUSS!
Feb 25, 2021

PUSS! will test you more than millions of commercial games designed and sold for it. It will drag you to the other side of the screen. We are the cat who must save the world inside this reality inside the TV set! Reflexes, patience, connected spatial vision, hair allergy, drug abuse, visual and auditory overload? PUSS! is a captivating and tremendously challenging game, even more challenging than completing its seven worlds and concluding its story. Two sticks are enough to measure you as no game has measured you yet, and that has a huge merit in these times.

85 / 100 - qomp
Feb 10, 2021

qomp is fun and challenging, ingenious on many levels. A game like qomp does not leave indifferent in any way. Take the shine off your finger -no, not that one, you rude people- because those who approach this game will spend hours that is the only thing they will move in their body, except for the clenching of their jaws.

80 / 100 - Olija
Feb 4, 2021

I think adventures like Olija are quite appreciated, with its simple layout but worked and with clear effort behind, and a direct gameplay but with substance as well. An adventure game that combines combat, platforming, classic story, well crafted narrative and art, and fun, quite fun. The so classic and even necessary "what it does, it does well".

70 / 100 - Habroxia 2
Feb 1, 2021

I have to say that games like Habroxia 2 are appreciated. It's not just going back to past genres and ways, there's a lot of that nowadays, a LOT! It's making it fun. Respecting and paying homage properly is fine, but the fundamental thing is to make something that is enjoyable to play, and for hours on end too. And here it is achieved without a doubt. It works. Adding grind mechanics? It works too. We have a rich gameplay, enjoying not only to look for paths and more levels, but to see how to switch between a horizontal and vertical shooter in the same phase. It just lacks more ambition/means to present even more visual power and less recycling of the previous title. Perhaps for the future this leap will come.

60 / 100 - Freddy Spaghetti
Jan 4, 2021

Freddy searches for his place in the world in an adventure of exploration, skill and even with a narrative touch. It's not a very long proposal, nor too complex, but it's curious enough to deserve a look... and to have a little patience in Freddy's curious handling. But should a piece of pasta with its own conscience be handled like other protagonists? One of the most atypical 'heroes' in the world, whatever I say.

El hijo undoubtedly has good ingredients to get attention and stand out: planning an adventure in the Wild West as a pure infiltration game without hitting a single shot is remarkable. The problem is, as happens on so many occasions, making everything work up to the idea generated by the game. In any case, we have an ideal adventure for lovers of the genre, wrapped in a charming story and with an exquisite artistic design, we have to restore the illusion to the children.

Dec 10, 2020

I think we should be grateful for such an openly classic graphic adventure, in its concept and development, with healthy humor in its argument and aesthetics. Its focus is very directed to players with a certain callousness and age in this genre, but it is also important to note that it will not be complicated for someone without baggage in these lines can manage, although it will be necessary to have a little patience with their traditional way of doing things.
