Little Noah: Scion of Paradise is a charismatic roguelite with unique ideas. The combat is enticing with its fast-paced action and the system that allows players to combine attacks and spells for combos — a part of the fun is exploring the various possibilities and combinations. Besides that, there are many options to unlock and its colorful atmosphere exudes charisma. The simplicity of the concepts makes it clear that the experience is more casual, though there are options for players who are fond of more intense challenges. Even so, some issues get in the way on the long run, such as its basic level design and limited content variety. The expectation is that these negative points are fixed in the future. Overall, Little Noah: Scion of Paradise is a light and fun experience. It's nothing as elaborate as other roguelites but it executes well everything it sets out to do.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge offers quality brawling with some retro touches. Its biggest highlight is the agile and accessible gameplay that allows you to create impressive combos, and the variety of moves and enemies brings diversity to combat. In addition, multiplayer for up to six players is frenetic and chaotic, making it a great option to enjoy with friends. The new Turtles adventure is heavily inspired by the past and even modernizes some concepts. However, the title is too conservative – which is a shame, as other current beat 'em ups have already proven that it is possible to innovate. In any case, the nostalgic ambiance with elaborate pixel art visuals and the uncomplicated action are enough reasons to check out the game.

Demon Slayer - Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Hinokami Chronicles manages to transform the stylish anime action into a good fighting game. In addition to the stunning visuals, the game has accessible systems capable of pleasing different audiences. Besides that, the story mode captivates by offering great recreations of important plot facts, even though the exploration snippets are a little boring. Like other anime adaptations, The Hinokami Chronicles suffers from superficial mechanics and limited diversity content - possibly a sequel will improve these aspects. In the end, Demon Slayer - Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Hinokami Chronicles is recommended for those looking for an uncompromising fighting title and for fans of the anime and manga.

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix+ is a full-on, frenetic rhythm experience. The game explores established mechanics in an immense variety of music and difficulties. The content impresses with the vast amount of music of different styles, and the colorful and whimsical atmosphere offers an immersive experience. The PC adaptation is basic and competent, but it's hard not to be bothered by the absence of some options and significant new content, especially for series veterans. In the end, Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix+ is an excellent rhythmic title.

8.5 / 10.0 - DRAINUS
Jun 3, 2022

DRAINUS merges classic elements and unique ideas to create an impressive shoot 'em up. The mechanics of absorbing enemy shots bring dynamism to the stages, which have several creative and varied moments. In addition, the setting stands out with a stylish look and breathtaking imposing scenes. At times the challenge is low and there is not much content, but the general care of the title's production compensates for these problems. In the end, DRAINUS is an unmissable experience.

7 / 10.0 - Souldiers
May 30, 2022

Souldiers uses established concepts and a retro atmosphere to create an enjoyable and challenging adventure. Its greatest highlight is the balance between platforming, exploration, puzzles and combat, which are spread across a vast world. There's a lot of content to explore and three very distinct classes. Besides that, the atmosphere captivates with the gorgeous pixel art visuals and the stunning art direction. However, the game suffers from some problems that hinder the experience. The main ideas and mechanics lack identity, the pacing is erratic and punctuated by tiresome and huge dungeons, the world presents unfair and irritating dangers, and the difficulty is unbalanced. In the end, Souldiers is competent. Despite its flaws, there is a good game here, it just takes a lot of patience and a little insistence to enjoy it.

6 / 10.0 - The Gunk
May 17, 2022

The Gunk is beautiful and ambitious, but unfortunately fails to live up to its potential. It's nice to clean up the gunk, solve basic puzzles, and explore visually interesting scenarios, but many of the mechanics are underutilized and ideas don't evolve beyond their initial state. At least the relaxing atmosphere, stunning backdrops and great voice acting make the experience immersive to some extent. In the end, The Gunk is reasonable, however it fails to stand out.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is a beautiful and enjoyable action RPG, but it doesn't dare too much. Combat, whose main concept is to instantly switch between heroes, is fast and agile. Besides that, the world captivates with impeccable visuals, charismatic characters and plenty to explore. Note that the focus is on exploring established concepts of the genre in a simplified way, making the adventure very accessible. However, this approach becomes the game's biggest problem with low challenge, repetitive missions and underused mechanics, which hinders the experience. In the end, Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is satisfying and ideal for the undemanding players.

7.5 / 10.0 - Loot River
May 3, 2022

Loot River surrounds us with its unique interpretation of dungeon crawler and roguelike. Sliding on floating platforms to explore flooded dungeons is a fresh idea, and the feature is used in creative situations, such as navigation puzzles and battle strategies. Besides that, the brutal combat and great ambiance make the experience very immersive. However, the game also has notable problems, such as truncated combat and slow content unlocking. With a little insistence, it is possible to overcome the negative points, but some changes in these aspects would considerably improve the pace of the journey. Otherwise, it's worth checking out Loot River, even if only for its inventiveness.

7 / 10.0 - Anuchard
Apr 29, 2022

Anuchard is a curious action RPG inspired by the classics. The game relies on uncomplicated combat and intuitive puzzles to create an agile and accessible adventure. Furthermore, the world captivates with its colorful atmosphere and picturesque characters. However, the general simplicity gets in the way: mechanics and concepts develop little during the journey, making the experience stagnant. In the end, Anuchard has some charm, but it fails to exploit its full potential.

8 / 10.0 - Revita
Apr 21, 2022

Revita is an action roguelike that stands out with its unique mechanics. Sacrificing your life in exchange for power and items brings an interesting risk-reward dynamic and there are a multitude of skills and upgrades to combine and experiment with. Combat excites with its fast pace, intense difficulty and good variety of dangers. In addition, the retro and melancholic ambiance makes the experience immersive. The variety of content is impressive, but the adventure is not without its problems: the areas are structurally too similar, it takes grinding to unlock the content and the visual chaos gets in the way at times. In the end, Revita is a great roguelike and a strong recommendation for fans of the genre.

6.5 / 10.0 - Insurmountable
Apr 15, 2022

Insurmountable combines diverse features to create an experience that is both meditative and tense. Guiding a climber to the top of mountains is an interesting activity, mainly because of the different mechanics, such as managing vital resources and assembling routes. However, the experience is compromised by offering very limited diversity of content, which makes runs too similar to each other too quickly. The new features of the 2.0 update help to alleviate the problems, but they are not enough to solve the many negative issues. In the end, Insurmountable is a creative adventure, but one that takes patience.

7.5 / 10.0 - Young Souls
Mar 18, 2022

Young Souls is an agile beat 'em up with good ideas. Combat excites with frantic confrontations and intense challenge, and good character customization options offer good strategy possibilities when fighting. Besides that, the setting impresses with its elaborate look that mixes 2D and 3D. RPG elements try to add more complexity to the journey, but the tepid execution of these concepts makes them almost irrelevant. In the end, Young Souls is fun and is a great option for those looking for a beat 'em up a little more complex.

9 / 10.0 - Tunic
Mar 16, 2022

TUNIC invites us to explore an intricate land in an unparalleled adventure. The mysterious island captivates [players] with a journey filled with the right amount of challenge, such as tough, vigorous combats, many interconnected, detailed areas and many puzzles. The isometric visual that evokes a miniature world, soft music and enigmatic atmosphere turn the experience into something even more charming. The main attraction is the way information is shown: most concepts and hints are in a manual full of runes and cryptic illustrations. Also, the island has countless enigmas to solve, many of which are very subtle and complex. For that reason, creativity and experimentation are necessary to advance, and there's a constant dazzling feeling of finding something new. Sometimes, the indications are too vague, and this can hinder the pacing, but by persisting some more and with the help of other people, it's possible to proceed. In the end, the combination of so many interesting elements makes TUNIC a must-play.

7.5 / 10.0 - FAR: Changing Tides
Mar 11, 2022

FAR: Changing Tides fascinates [players] with a contemplative journey through an abandoned world. Manually controlling a vehicle that's simultaneously a ship and a submarine is really intuitive, and the various puzzles along the way helps the game offer some variety. Beautiful backgrounds and a well placed soundtrack intensify emotions such as loneliness and feeling small before the vast locales. This sequel to FAR: Lone Sails has brand new mechanics and concepts, adding to the adventure's longevity. However, these new features aren't only positive: the rhythm is boring sometimes and some tasks related to the machine control can be tiresome due to their repetitiveness and other issues. In the end, FAR: Changing Tides manages to create a pleasant experience, though far from being perfect.

8 / 10.0 - Grapple Dog
Feb 10, 2022

Grapple Dog uses charisma and lots of color to create a nice 2D adventure. Swing through the scenarios using a grappling hook is very intuitive and agile. In addition, the constant introduction of elements and hazards maintains the feeling of novelty throughout the creative stages. Some points are annoying, such as the uninteresting bosses and the jump inaccuracy in certain situations, but overall, the experience is competent. In the end, Grapple Dog captivates and is a great option for those who want to enjoy a platform game inspired by the classic 16-bits.

Feb 8, 2022

OlliOlli World combines different genres to offer an accelerated and compelling experience. The simple controls and stages filled with varied elements make the matches exciting and there are various advanced mechanics to master. The changes [when compared to previous games], such as the inclusion of checkpoints, turn the game into a more accessible experience, and at the same time it still offers the complex content for those who seek bigger challenges. Beyond that, its universe is mesmerizing with beautiful cartoonish aesthetics, soft Lo-fi hip-hop soundtrack, exotic locations, and many customization possibilities for the character. Some issues from previous games still persist, such as the trial and error moments; however, the feeling of frustration is minimized thanks to the new options. In the end, OlliOlli World is a must-play.

Please, Touch the Artwork is like visiting an interactive art gallery. The three minigames are simple but captivating thanks to their charming audiovisual elements. The puzzles, especially those in The Style, gain complexity layers little by little, making them very interesting. However, some puzzles are complicated enough to be frustrating, going against its general relaxing nature. In the end, the game offers a unique short experience, even though it isn't particularly memorable.

The biggest highlight is the variety of bizarre transformations with different abilities and characteristics, and the customization options open up several possibilities when facing the challenges. In addition, the vibrant, humorous and content-filled world encourages us to constantly experiment. Even so, some details are problematic, such as the uncreative dungeons, superficiality of some combats and the moments of repetition. 6.5 / 10.0 - Blade Assault
Jan 26, 2022

Blade Assault is a competent and exciting 2D action adventure to some extent. The biggest highlight is the fast-paced combat, and different weapons and elemental powers help bring variety to the stages. Also, the atmosphere is pleasant with great sci-fi pixel art visuals. However, after a few runs the various issues become apparent, such as limited content diversity, unregulated difficulty and technical issues. In the end, Blade Assault even has a good base and is fun, but there is a feeling that many of its features needed to be better developed.
