A gentle and relaxing vet simulator for young kids, with a fair bit of content stretched out over quite a few hours wrapped up in a loveable and bright veneer. If it hooks them, they'll love the playhouse vibes and pet stroking and ignore the repetition and grinding to upgrade the clinic which would normally bother adults.
Rather than being a game for the whole family, My Universe – PET CLINIC CATS & DOGS is very much for younger kids. I can see them enjoying it for a couple of hours before the repetition cements itself. But this is a $29.99 game, and there's no way to justify that price. The quality isn't high enough for what ends up being an average game in most respects that kids will grow bored with.
My Universe – Pet Clinic Cats & Dogs has good intentions and some great ideas for interaction, illness and pet care. But even being cute and casual enough for the target audience, it offers extremely repetitive actions and an evolution system that requires you to continue performing actions until the point of nausea. It has flawed mechanics, an aesthetic execution far below the platform and design choices that do not quite know the platform where they are.

The My Universe series, obviously targeted at more casual and younger gamers, won't be for everyone...
If you know a little kid looking for more age-appropriate video game options, My Universe: Pet Clinic Cats and Dogs is definitely a good choice. I’m not entirely sure which adults have stumbled upon this thinking it wouldn’t be a kids’ game, but just in case — this is gonna be a hard sell for anyone past elementary school. The cute, cuddly cats and dogs will surely delight young console gamers, and this might not be a bad game for them to learn their way around a controller. If you have an aspiring young veterinarian in your life, My Universe: Pet Clinic Cats and Dogs is a solid use of their allowance.
The My Universe series is designed specifically for kids excited to jump into their dreamed adult life. My Universe PET CLINIC CATS & DOGS holds true to the rest of the My Universe games and is a great addition to the series. I can imagine younger gamers would love to be a proud owner of a Pet Clinic, happily treating poorly cats and dogs.
