Picross S6 Reviews
Much like its predecessors, Picross S6 is little more than a glorified level pack. But, that’s okay. The addictive nature of its core gameplay is as strong as ever, and those who are hooked will be pleased to know that there’s another ten to twenty hours of new content to chew through. If you’ve still got a few of the past entries in your backlog, we’d recommend you hold off until you’re sure you want even more puzzles to solve; there’s nothing new or exciting here that you’re missing. If you’re a newcomer, however, this is as good a place as any to jump in.
Jupiter managed to make an overall simple concept into something great. Picross S6 does not disappoint with its relaxing atmosphere and options to allow individualised gameplay. This is a solid title for lovers of logical puzzles.
Picross S6 is still an excellent puzzle game packed with just shy of 500 puzzles from a handful of different modes. Even if it's stagnated, I still wholeheartedly recommend the latest game. I just hope Picross S7 is more a leap forward than more of the same.
The Picross series has been around for so long at some point that it has become a sort of puzzle game staple, but that can also make people a bit numb to it...
The Nintendo Switch is an excellent platform for puzzle games. The accessibility of a portable console works well with the short, fast-paced levels in them. Picross S6 is no exception. You progress through well over three hundred levels in this collection of puzzles.
Picross S6 offers a lot of content and a great experience for those who enjoy logic games. As much as the actions seem repetitive, the puzzles are interesting and complex enough to entertain and challenge even the most skilled players. Despite this, for those who already come from other titles in the series, perhaps the feeling will be more of the same, since there is no significant innovation. However, for those who are now arriving in the world of Picross, the almost 500 puzzles will be more than enough.
