Critic Reviews for The Last Cube
Some will take one look at The Last Cube and perceive its sterile aesthetic and reliance on geometric simplicity as something altogether lacking.
Even with all its limitations, The Last Cube strives to do one thing, simply one thing, and succeeds in its intent. It is a solid puzzle game that knows how to keep its idea interesting level after level, and when to stop. The challenge remains on a consistent level throughout the five worlds, and considering how small the team is, the slight technical missteps are forgivable. A good choice if you are into puzzle games.

The Last Cube is a challenging (but fair) logic game that can be enjoyed by both casual and hard-core puzzle solvers. The interesting visuals and strict focus on the puzzles create an atmosphere in which it's easy to stay lost even when frustration starts to set in.
The Last Cube's genius levels had me perplexed, as I scratched my head throughout the cleverly-built puzzles just trying to figure out how to proceed. Its lack of story was a mild letdown, but not one I'm too bothered by since I thoroughly enjoyed the gameplay.
As the last cube, you have to save an angular world full of puzzles. The game will catch you with its interesting concept and gameplay.

The Last Cube is a solid puzzle and platforming mix, with a focus on solid planning and careful execution. I like the pure nature of moving through the levels, constantly trying to keep in mind which face of the cube can interact with what element of the environment. But this is an experience enjoyed in small doses before the drabness of the universe gets to you.
You wouldn't think a game where you flip a cube around would be fully-featured and beautiful but The Last Cube surely is and it's great.
An intelligent experiment that combines a more traditional gridded approach to puzzle design with a few mechanics that explore the 3D space.
