Persona 5 is good. It's very, very good. It's the sort of game that only comes around once every few years. It's a game that is so unique in every aspect that it'd be impossible to mistake a single moment of it for anything else. It's also a game about real life, despite the wacky hijinks you'll often find yourself in. It's about the moments you have with your friends, laughing around a hot pot as you make jokes only those there would understand. It's within those moments that Persona 5 enters a league of its own, untouched by its contemporaries in every respect.

They'll take your heart. Atlus has launched the bar into the stratosphere by creating what is undoubtedly one of PS4's best games and what is potentially the game of the year. Whether it's battling and collecting demons throughout dungeons or simply going on a date in Akihabara, whatever Persona 5 throws at you, it does so with unmatched style and expert quality.

Persona 5 tries to captivate the player in every possible way. Its masterful mix of genres, crisp art style, and music, as well as the glorious game mechanics won't let you drop the controller until the very end. This iteration of the franchise sets a new standard for the JRPG genre and it is, naturally, an excellent addition to the Best of 2017 games list.

Persona 5 isn’t made for anyone, but anyone can enter its lush and colorful world and experience an exceptional Japanese Role Playing game. Persona 5 is slow, doesn’t rush anything and pay an increasingly attention to details – Sometimes maybe too much. But after beating first few hours, Persona 5 becomes a combination of unique narration, involving gameplay and eye-catching artistic style.

If you even have a slight interest in RPG’s, Persona 5 is easily a recommended must-have. At over 100 hours, you’re definitely getting a whole lot of game, but everything from the production value to the battle system and even its painfully relevant story about the devolution of the human race make Persona 5 a staple of this gaming generation and more than justifies the series as the king of JRPG’s.

With engaging social simulation gameplay, addictive turn-based combat systems and an unmatched visual style, Persona 5 is the ultimate Japanese role-playing game any PlayStation 4 owner, newbie or hardcore fan, should give a fair go in 2017.

Persona 5 is a game that has met and went above my expectations for it. The main story might not be as great as expected, however, the game amazes us with its individual story arcs, the battle system, soundtrack and its incredible art direction. Persona 5 is one of the best role playing games ever created and one of the best games of the year for the PS3 and PS4 systems.

Persona 5 is an absolute masterpiece and like many other reviews, I can’t help but echo the positivity here too. If you’ve never played a Persona game, play this one and work your way back. If you have played a Persona game then I imagine you’ll be playing this now and loving every minute of it. Buy this game, it’s one of the best RPGs in the last 10 years.

Persona 5 puts the JRPG to its rightful place again. Not only is the game a very great Persona, but a very great game in the genre which it belongs as well. Brilliant in every aspect, the game does not leave the player, and brings him across one surprise after another, both in its scenario and its structure. It joins the list of the excellent games in this first half of the year. With its unforgettable characters, its perfect narrative, its flawless combat system and its very lengthy lifespan, we can say it loud and clear, that game is here to steal our player's hearts for the next few months'!

The beauty of a game like Persona 5 is its ability to perfectly bring together all its different elements. The game will impress you with how it can balance between all its connected systems, and how it does so flawlessly. As you're walking around Tokyo, you'll be making lists of all the things you need for your upcoming trip to the Palaces. While you're at the Palaces, you'll be making lists of items you'll potentially need the next time around to boost your team's stats. You'll be immersed in the game's sights and sounds, and laugh along as your team members banter. You don't just play the game, you experience it with all your senses. This is what Persona offers. It sucks you into its world and you'll find yourself thinking about it without realizing as if it's a second life you've always wanted to live.

Though there is a lot to play in 2017, Persona 5 is one RPG you just can't pass up. The wait was well worth it, and you shouldn't be surprised to see Persona 5 pop up on quite a few game-of-the-year lists come December.

Overall, Persona 5 has really captured my heart. With 70+ hours of gaming, I haven't had this much fun since the last Persona game. I will definitely keep playing it and will even play it into the New Game+. The New Game Plus allows you to keep certain items that you have gotten from the game but it resets your relationship meter with the characters among other things. If you are into old school JRPG, this is definitely the game you have been waiting for. At its price point the game is totally worth it and even more. I am even willing to spend for this game's DLC. It's just that good. Now let me get back to the game and see if I can pass this school exam.

There isn't much more to be said. With masterful visuals, combat, and story, Persona 5 is a beautiful foray into the RPG scene. There are some gripes that I have within the game, such as being forced to go to bed after visiting the metaverse or doing anything in the evening. I understand it's to keep stats under control, but perhaps a system where you can start an extra activity each night at the cost of a penalty in XP or social stat gains the next day due to fatigue would have been nice. With that said though, I find it impossible to call Persona 5 anything but a phenomenal experience.

Persona 5 isn't just a rank and file member of Japan's streak of game of the year contenders in 2017, it's a blistering RPG masterpiece that cements itself among the all-time greats.Tagging along with the Phantom Thieves of Hearts on their psychedelic capers triggers a contact high of dazzling sights and sounds, with enough thematic depth to match its relentless swagger. It's a game that'll try to steal your own heart, and you'll willingly oblige.

I could nitpick about small issues, like some textures that are painfully blurry or a handful of quirky localization issues. Those issues fade into the periphery, however. What doesn’t is simply this: Persona 5 is a triumph of game design that stands apart from other JRPGs. RPG fans owe it to themselves to drop what they’re doing and play now. You won’t regret it.
