Suika Game is a competent and addictive little puzzler that does a great job of executing a very simple concept. There’s not a whole lot to it, but considering it's roughly the same price as a pack of gum, Suika Game is definitely worth the cost of admission. If you’re looking for a quick time waster to add to your Switch library, we’d recommend you pick it up.

Suika Game is nothing more than a game for hunting high scores. If you get the watermelon and a really high score on your first attempt, you might not feel motivated to play anymore if you don’t feel like you can get an even better score. However most people will love the thrill of continuously trying to get a better score and using a mix of planning and luck to get them there.

From a great gameplay loop, a simple concept literally anyone can pick up and have fun with for a few minutes, and a good leaderboard system, this is easily one of my favorite scorechasers in a long while, and I’m eager to see what sort of new content or features they add to this.

For a couple of bucks, Suika Game is a cute little distraction that you might get wildly addicted to or you may just run through twice and then forget about. The online high score list shows that the competition is real, so know what you’re getting into before considering streaming. There aren’t any glitches or bugs, so, honestly, the polish makes it worth the price tag, even if there’s a high chance you’ll just let this game rot in your refrigerator after the initial excitement fades away.
