ABZÛ is an epic descent into the depths of the sea, where players will explore beautifully rendered ocean environments with fluid swimming controls. The experience draws inspiration from the deep innate narrative that we all carry within our subconscious: the story of ABZÛ is a universal myth that resonates across cultures. The name references a concept from the oldest mythologies; it is the combination of the two ancient words AB, meaning ocean, and ZÛ, meaning to know. ABZÛ is the ocean of wisdom.

There are few games quite as curious and beautiful as Abzû, and fewer of its kind on the PC. It’s a short, dense journey filled with intense wonder and inherent beauty, and every inch is worth seeing.

Abzu takes the graceful feel of movement and subtle push toward discovery that I've enjoyed in similar exploration games like Journey and Flower and builds a refreshing-yet-simple underwater adventure around it. The colorful settings, beautiful soundtrack, and basic controls made it a great experience that constantly piqued my interest, even if it never challenged me to master it other than deciphering its cryptic environmental clues. Instead, Abzu relishes in giving you freedom to simply enjoy exploring the fascinating deep blue sea.

Unique and visually striking, Abzu doesn't quite make the most of its underwater setting but remains a highly compelling adventure.

Absolutely gorgeous and a joy to behold, but sticks too close to Journey's formula for its own good.

The game reaches everything it wants to reach. Awesome graphics (espetially the lighting). Aand the music is just awesome and always fits the terrain. Also it is very good for calming yourself down.
I played it for the first time last night. While beautiful, it didn't run very well on my system, sometimes dipping as low as 16fps, which I found surprising! Likely my fault for running it at 4K on a 1080ti. However, I found the game beautiful and engrossing. It was absolutely a joy to explore, and even to meditate and watch the different fish swim by, or to catch a ride on

Surreal adventure games are the next generation of the adventure genre, and if they are done right, can be quite memorable and mesmerizing. Journey was one of the first of this kind of new adventure titles. With minimal UI, gameplay, controls, and story, you are swept through a linear journey of emotions, visual beauty, and auditorial bliss. Some of the people from Journey
This game was amazing. I loved being able to play with and ride alongside a whole ton of fish. Being able to see their names was a huge plus. I found I was unexpectedly invested in the characters. The speedrun is pretty cool too.
