Pool Party makes its apparent innocence a crutch for the poverty of ideas and, mainly, for the lack of affection in its implementation. It's even possible to have fun for a few moments, but only when players allow themselves to suspend their critical sense in favor of an uncompromising family mess.

With a small assortment of enjoyable mini-games to play, Pool Party is best suited as part of a multiplayer playlist and not the main event.

Pool Party is a good but not great party game that is a welcome addition to any family gaming night.

Pool Party offers fun party gameplay that is easy to digest and playable. However, everything is very chaotic, it sometimes comes down to luck and you often experience short periods of time. The constant tutorial for each game is sometimes a bit annoying, as is the soundtrack, which is constantly the same. Graphically, the game looks colorful and fairly sleek. The customization options for the characters are also quite limited and add little extra value. Pool Party is just about worth the money for two bucks, but it certainly doesn't deliver more value for money. The game is fun for half an hour here and half an hour there, and then usually disappears again for a while. Pool Party is therefore not much more than a mediocre party game for the family.

Pool Party is a fun sit-down and get-dirty physics-based party game that's a lot of fun to play but feels lacking in its content offerings. Easy to pick up and play for everyone, even the less gaming-inclined.

Pool Party is chaotic, well-polished, and easy to get into a party game. Making this game a good entry point for people who have not picked up a controller their entire lives. The mixture of game modes will keep you hooked through a session, but plain design will soon start boring you. Overall, the game does well for itself but is slightly higher priced for the bang it offers.

Pool Party is a great physics-based game that features a concept I have never heard of before. While it lacks slightly in content, it more than makes up for it in the fun factor category. Its fast-paced matches and fun ways of mixing pool with a certain activity or sport are certainly something that I would recommend to any fan of party games or if you have an event coming up. Lakeview Games did a great job with its first release, and I'm excited to see what they do in the future.
