PuzzMix Reviews
If you enjoyed Suika Game and love Azure Striker Gunvolt's music then PuzzMiX will be a welcome treat despite its lack of longevity.
As a spin-off of GV, PuzzMix is one of the weakest and most uninspired, trying to be similar to the game on which it is based by bringing as few ideas as possible for whatever reason. Even Suika Game, a less ambitious experience, still took the opportunity to launch a paid expansion that brought multiplayer and other typical modes, such as Time Attack and Time Limit — something that could be in PuzzMix as a way of generating an advantage over its rival.

Of the Suika clones I’ve dabbled in, I ended up really liking PuzzMix the most, and that has to mostly come down to the music and core gameplay remaining great as ever. Still, with how much personality the Gunvolt series has to offer, I really wish it was bold enough to try some new mechanics.
PuzzMiX is an interesting variation of the Suika genre, bringing a new perspective [to it] with Lola's pods and an enticing soundtrack. Though it presents some limitations and frustrations due to the pieces' physics and the lack of variation in the scenery, it still manages to offer a casual and fun experience. It may be especially attractive for fans of the Gunvolt franchise and J-Pop lovers but it may not have the same universal appeal of the traditional fruit combo games. However, for those looking for a new approach to the Suika genre, PuzzMiX is a game worth experiencing.

In the end, PuzzMiX delivers a satisfactory experience for what it offers, even if it's not innovative, but it unfortunately restricts itself to a very specific audience of fans of the Muse. The game has a simple mechanic as a starting point but it requires practice in planning [how to use] the space, which may please puzzle fans that really want to have an anime "doll" on the screen the whole time. To the others, there may be better options.
