F1 24 continues what the series has done so well so far, but the hollow driver career mode and the weak visual splash undermine its appeal.

F1 24 is an excellent update to the Codemasters series: the new Career mode, which allows us to play with real drivers, is excellent, while the driving model has been substantially overhauled with very satisfying results. Only the AI represents a small Achilles heel, which we hope will be corrected as soon as possible.

Better than its predecessor? That's what "EA Sports F1 24" definitely is. The adjustments in the career are coherent, even if they flood the gameplay with far too many side quests. Nevertheless, the game conveys a good Formula 1 atmosphere and of course shines with its high recognition value. On the track, "F1 24" scores with its discreetly adjusted controls. The gameplay feels even more direct and dynamic. Especially from the cockpit perspectives, the Simcade title convinces with its strong sense of speed with very detailed environmental graphics. There is also little to complain about in terms of scope: Thanks to "F1 World", challenge career and multiplayer options, there is more than enough to do. In short: "F1 24" is a sovereign sequel, even if there is still room for improvement in his career.

F1 24 continues Codemasters’ hot streak, as it is the best game in the racing series. The on-the-track racing experience has just as much depth as the modes players navigate through beforehand, and there is a real wealth of content to dig into.

It’s true that F1 World and Career modes offer more than enough to satisfy most, the lack of historic races or cars and the story mode is sorely missing. The fact that this year is the 30th Anniversary since Ayrton Senna’s death, I thought there might be something in the game to celebrate his career. That said, F1 24 is a bit of a reset by bolstering existing modes that go above and beyond what they’ve done before, and are sure to be built-on for years to come. F1 24 is a fantastic companion to the current season while also being a fantastic game all on its own.
