Aero 2 is a far improved followup to the dull original. Better level design, better gameplay, better variety, all better, all around! Of the two Aero games, this is the one to play for sure.

What happened to Aero the Acro-bat 2 is quite frustrating. The game itself is somewhat fun for a 90's platformer but the port presentation is horrendous. It doesn't even look like a planned change but the release of a beta they forgot to finish up.

Clearly, the devs saw something in the game that players did not, and they were able to craft a second one. Sure, Aero may have been “best new character” of 1993, but they were also giving away the game to anyone who sent them a postcard, so it’s a tossup as to what the success level truly was.
