Dungeons of Dreadrock 2 - The Dead King's Secret Reviews
Though it isn't much of an upgrade over its predecessor, Dungeons of Dreadrock 2 offers an enjoyable and simple puzzle gaming experience which cleverly links with the first game's story and feels well worthwhile. Satisfying gameplay variety and well-drawn, 32-bit-style graphics are the strong points here, though its relative simplicity and occasionally frustrating puzzle solutions are minor drawbacks. There's lots to love here, though, especially if you're a fan of the first game, and it feels like it fills a niche in the Switch library that few other puzzle games occupy.
It takes a bit to get into the puzzle-solving flow of Dungeons of Dreadlock 2: The Dead King's Secret, but it offers an approachable level-based challenge once you do. Fans of the original should appreciate this second adventure, while newcomers will find themselves similarly hooked.
If you enjoy puzzle solving at a high level, Dungeons of Dreadrock 2 is the game to play. It takes everything you learned from the first game and amps up the fun with new creative ways to solve puzzles, new abilities to master, and a fun story that connects seamlessly with the first game. The second installment of the Dreadrock Trilogy is a must play for any puzzle-maniac.
Dungeons of Dreadrock 2: The Dead King's Secret is a visually appealing puzzle game with an engaging story and fitting soundtrack, perfect for puzzle enthusiasts, though slightly vague hints and inconsistent enemy AI don't detract from its overall appeal.

There are too many moments of frustration in Dungeons of Dreadrock 2 that prevent the game from rising to the level of its predecessor. I still look forward to playing the promised third game in the trilogy, but after this one, it’s no longer the must-play that it once was for me.
Dungeons of Dreadrock 2 doesn't change too much in terms of overall gameplay or presentation, but for the sequel to a game that could only really be criticized for being a tad short, that's not a bad thing. We thoroughly enjoyed our second trip through those tricky dungeons with all its new challenges and can easily recommend it for anybody interested in the puzzle genre.
