Nocturne Reviews

Nocturne is my biggest surprise of the year. An outstanding story about the search for one’s own identity, brotherhood, friendship, and the struggle for society. The game also features one of the most diverse soundtracks of the year, which nonetheless blends seamlessly into a perfectly harmonious mix of musical styles. Combined with the stunning visuals, I was treated to something truly exceptional. Games like this don’t come along very often.

Nocturne aims for an ambitious fusion of sci-fi storytelling and rhythm strategy, but the grindy combat and superficial RPG systems prevent it from coming together effectively, making it difficult to recommend.
