I'm a big fan of the art style, animation, and cute yet creepy nature of Bulb Boy that reminds me of cartoons from my childhood. Like for real, this is probably the closest thing we will ever get to a proper Courage the Cowardly Dog game, so if you have nostalgia for that show, pick this up. The two-hour length and lack of replayability will probably be a turnoff for some, but if you're like me, you're desperate for content to play on your Nintendo Switch and for $9 you could do much, much worse. Trust me on that one.

A pretty simple and straightforward point and click adventure, yet with an adorable, over the top personality. Absolutely irresistible if you love horror, kawaii and... toilet humor.

It feels odd calling a point & click horror game adorable, but that's what Bulb Boy is. Heartwarming moments are mixed with gross-out details without any friction. The surreal story has plenty of twists and turns, and the puzzles are enjoyable to work out. This little indie title is truly a gem in its own special way.

Bulb Boy may not boast the largest content ever seen and while it comes across as too linear and its lifespan feels rather short, it also has several interesting redeeming factors, such as its use of light, a successfully crafted horror atmosphere and an overall well implemented presentation.
