Critic Reviews for Nivalis Nights
After waiting roughly five years to finally play it, I'm just glad it turned out to be a hidden gem rather than five years of hype leading me straight into a digital tax audit.
Nivalis Nights is a decent business management sim, but it fails to really build on its cyberpunk setting and gets a bit boring after a while.
The game Nivalis Nights can be described as an experience with a beautiful appearance but a shallow and scattered essence. A title that presents a visually delightful world where the player can simply enjoy being present in it, but whenever they want to do something, they encounter numerous weaknesses. A work that is ambitious and wants to be both a life simulator and a restaurant management simulator, but fails at both. Perhaps the experience of running your own restaurant in a beautiful cyberpunk-themed world could be inherently appealing and even entertain you for a while, but very soon its small and large weaknesses reveal themselves and will likely discourage you from continuing the experience.

Nivalis Nights takes the cyberpunk life simulation experience to the next level, and it manages to provide us with a very interesting, albeit different look for how the future might be.
A nice slice of life adventure in a cyberpunk city. Relaxing, neat, perhaps too much calm for those in search of adrenaline.

Nivalis Nights is one of the most original, visually stunning, and entertaining management games of recent years, yet it is held back and undermined by a highly unstable technical performance.

Nivalis Nights is a solid cyberpunk business sim with strong atmosphere, detailed restaurant management, and plenty of side content. Its thin life-sim systems and rough performance keep it from being the complete city-life RPG.
There’s always a hunger for cyberpunk worlds, and while Cyberpunk 2077 has undoubtedly dominated the scene, there’s still plenty to discover in Nivalis Nights (and, by extension, Cloudpunk, if you haven’t played it yet). What makes it particularly interesting is that it offers a more laid-back experience, with a strong narrative and investigative focus, while also bringing management-sim elements into the mix to add a little extra spice.
