Ginger: Beyond the Crystal is a very good plattforming game that has the essence of the classics and aims to entertain both kids and grown-ups.

A game that brings us back to the old times, when we only had to jump and enjoy every level. Unfortunately it's not up to date on modern game mechanics and visual.

Despite its flaws, Ginger: Beyond the Crystal is still enjoyable to play, with a great soundtrack and inspired moments from some of gaming’s biggest games.
I have been having a great time with Ginger Beyond the Crystal, warts and all. It’s got a lot of little issues or oddities, but it hard charm and heart, and at the center of it all is a decent platforming title.
Ginger: Beyond the Crystal is an "anthology" game, which bases its game design on the collection of the most common mechanics that have marked the history and evolution of the platform genre.

The uninspired visuals, clunky gameplay and vastly inferior porting process to the Switch make Ginger: Beyond the Crystal an easily forgotten adventure; it certainly won't be missed.
Ginger: Beyond the Crystal is little more than a time-waster that will forever stand in the shadows of the classics it tries to emulate and the modern successes it attempts to model itself after.
This is a game which tries to sell itself on its mechanics, but by constraint of budget, platform and other resources can’t quite live up to the game it wants to be.
