Critic Reviews for The Banner Saga: Complete Pack
The Banner Saga Complete Pack is a great purchase for those who have not yet had time to play the series. Interesting turn-based combat, beautiful design and fascinating story should appeal to fans of hardcore role-playing games. The “Survival Mode” looks like a good bonus that could entertain players until the release of the final third game. It is also worth noting that the Banner Saga 2 finally got Russian localization.

A great series of Tactic RPGs. Amazing storytelling with memorable characters.

A sheer work of art with some archaic design choices, Banner Saga still dazzles now as much as it did during its release.
The story of The Banner Saga becomes very interesting for players to follow, especially in a very rich mythology, with efficient combat and engaging characters. Some small problems do not affect the merit of a fantastic journey, where the package with both games is highly recommended.

I have to give it to Stoic since they really know how to make a good game! I had a blast playing both games in The Banner Saga Complete Pack, as well as the challenge from Survival mode. After all this The Banner Saga I look forward to checking out what the team has to offer for The Banner Saga 3!
The Banner Saga games look and sound great and there has clearly been a lot of effort put into their design and lore but their repetitive battles and profuse, prattling dialogue make their journeys ones of drawn-out tedium rather than exhilarating adventure.
The Banner Saga is a marvel as a personalized adventure game. The experience of leading a caravan and constantly making impactful choices that directly decide their fates is one that I'll never forget (and one that I look forward to continuing in Banner Saga 2). However, though its SRPG elements are generally good fun, they're not quite as polished (or balanced) as the rest of the package.
"Does this new port job make or break the experience for console players? Well, nothing's broken, but there are some rusty wheels on this cart, and the carpentry job could have been better."
