FIFA 18 Reviews
FIFA 18 is a solid entry into the FIFA series, but while there have been some changes over last year's iteration, they aren't so big that they make an essential purchase. Personally I found attacking smoother and defending a little harder to get hold of, while The Journey fun, if a bit dragged out. However where it matters FIFA 18 is a very good representation of the beautiful game, and Ultimate Team will have a firm grip on players over the next year again. Does FIFA remain the king of the pitch though? I'd say its pretty even nowadays.
I'm going to pour hours upon hours into FIFA 18, and I'll have a blast the whole way, and that's really all that I could ask for.
Whichever side of the footballing gulf you plant your neon footwear, there's no question that EA's behemoth delivers bang for its megabucks.
Like in previous years, FIFA 18 it's a game that fans of soccer will appreciate the most. There's different ways that you can enjoy of its contents and when you are through with one of them, you can continue with another one that has several differences. Either that you just like to play with your buddies at parties, compete with thousands of fans online from around the world, or whether you'd like to relish on a good story in The Journey. But we have to admit that the novelties are scarce on comparison with last years entry.

Feels a bit like a FIFA 17.5, but the finer improvements will matter to dedicated fans.
FIFA 18 is a solid game, with everything that made FIFA 17 an instant classic, plus a deeper story mode and a few additional bells and whistles. But it's not the huge step forward that FIFA 17 was, and it suffers from some areas lacking the polish that EA could have easily applied, considering that it did all the hard work of building a foundation for a killer soccer series last year. That said, if you've been waiting to get back into soccer sims, FIFA 18 is as good a place to start as any.
EA has done well to emulate the culture of football into this game and while it is far from a perfect football game, with some more polish it can definitely become just that. Until then, the frustrations are real.
FIFA has rectified the majority of its shortcomings, providing a confident marriage of fluid, dynamic never-say-die football and just enough content to undoubtedly tie footballing fans over for as long as their free time permits. Simply put, this is best FIFA in years.

FIFA 18 is still seductively deep and delivers excitement. It gave me the feeling that there is still so much to learn about what appears to be a rather straightforward sport, and that the game would gladly help me understand. This is always the time of year when I ask myself why I don't just spend all of my time playing FIFA, and FIFA 18 poses the question more forcefully than ever.
If you're looking for a realistic football experience, you don't have any choice other than FIFA 18. Still, there's not so much innovation in game modes, except for The Journey.

All in all, this year's FIFA has something to offer soccer/football fans of every type if you're not too disappointed by its lack of new features.
FIFA 18's new additions and modes make it the most compelling FIFA experience to date, and the franchise continues to demonstrate why it's the best football game in the business. Minor complaints aside, FIFA 18 is the biggest and most welcoming football game to date.
Despite an uneven evolution on and off the pitch, FIFA 18 manages to muster enough innovation and improvements to make it a worthy iteration of the franchise with a fleshed out Journey mode, the interactive transfers, and the real motion technology as its most juicy contributions. While the unbalanced action on the pitch and some abandoned modes constitute the most glaring weaknesses.

FIFA 18 delivers the best in-match experience the series has seen in years, while adding enhancements to virtually every facet of an already-polished package.
FIFA 18 improves the previous game in every aspect, with the Frostbite engine which takes animation and physics to a brand new level of quality. The gameplay is fun and lets you play a wonderful offensive football, while the new full manual defense is quite harsh to manage. Overall, the game offers a huge and deep football experience, thanks to a solid single player (with the new Career mode and the awesome second season of The Journey) and endless multiplayer action.

Several changes big and small come together in a game that may not be the most revolutionary, but is probably the best FIFA we've seen in years.
The thing is that even after all these years, EA Sports hasn’t find its ideal gameplay for FIFA series; so every two or three years FIFA is going through some radical changes that are not always necessary. But FIFA 18 is different, changes are blessing from god and gameplay’s compactness and freedom has made this game a truly joyful experience and at the same time, a great football simulator.

FIFA 18 offers a great story mode this year with the return of Alex Hunter, but when it comes to improvements to the general gameplay, there is not much to gain here.
All in all, though, FIFA 18 on the Nintendo Switch is a really good football game and probably the one we realistically hoped we'd get when it was first announced. Those coming from the other systems might be a little put off because all the bells and whistles aren't there but most of the important things are, and that's what matters most.
