Oure has been released after a couple of better games in the same format. It fails to live up to the expectations of the first few minutes and becomes a chore very quickly. I can't see the game being as successful as its predecessors which is a shame as it started with so much promise. It is rather like climbing into a Ferrari, sitting in the seats, admiring the experience that you are about to have only to discover it's got the engine from a Fiat Cinquecento in it. Oure lacks the substance to succeed, but if you want a really nice flying dragon simulator I guess you have found your match.

I truly enjoyed the game and the challenge it offered. And for its price point, I believe that it is well worth it. If you ever want a game where it challenges your mind and offers such a beautiful landscape then you should check this game out.

Oure tries to be much but delivers next to nothing. The repetitive gameplay and the blunt overall picture make it hard to recommend this game despite the low price. The setting had some potential but because of the boring implementation of it you should steer clear of this game.

Oure’s story unfolds in a world ravaged by dusk and devoid of hope. A young girl who dreams of soaring above the clouds and gliding alongside mighty titans (ancient sky creatures tasked with keeping peace over the world below) is mysteriously gifted with the power to transform into a flying dragon and tasked with trying to bring an end to this time of darkness.

Oure embraces the freeform nature of the adventure genre with wondrous exploration through the clouds as a dragon. While taking down the colossi can become frustrating due to the controls, Oure still has the wings to stand up to Journey and ABZU admirably.

In the end, Oure won me over as an indie title with a lot of heart, and absolutely has me begging to know what other secrets I missed as I soared through the clouds.

Oure fails to follow the steps of games like Journey and Abz'. The story and the game become generic very early and there are too many problems with the camera. Also, apart from the the titan fights, it is very boring most of the 3-4 hours needed to complete it.

Like ABZU, Oure wants to be your next Journey, but Heavy Spectrum's work falls short of the mark.

As a simple collectathon built around the concept of flying around in a magnificent cloudy world, Oure does more than its job and ends up being a pleasant zen experience. However, whenever it tries to be something more – wheter it is by trying to push on the gameplay side or by evoking pure emotions – this very derivative game simply falls short, showing all the limits of a not so stellar production.

Oure is a masterclass in how not to follow up on the success of Abzu and Journey. A seemingly interesting set-up quickly disappears, repetitive and frustrating gameplay dampens the experience further, and the abysmal controls make every second spent playing a depressing chore.

Take to the skies as a dragon in Oure, but don't expect to find much to do up there.

Oure is beautiful, but it's dull and cribs too much from its inspirations to be a worthwhile journey on its own
